This place is off the beaten track but so so worth it! First off the google directions take you past the restaurant so you have to pay attention to the sign telling you to turn into what looks like a driveway. Around the corner you will find the coolest little soda that I have seen while here in Costa Rica. The food was excellent and the portions ample to fill up my stomach and I’m known to have a bit of an appetite. Do yourself a favor and start with the papaya juice. The views from this restaurant are amazing as well. Just a heads up, bring cash because they don’t take cards.

Wonderful hidden gem! Our family of 12 visited on a Sunday for dinner and it was fabulous. We were the only ones there. The food was served in 32 minutes from the time we placed our order. It was probably the best chicken I ever had. I highly recommend the traditional Cost Rican meal and the papaya drink. Even the three kids who are picky eaters finished everything on their plate. For twelve people with large meal, drinks, desert (included with meal), and 20% tip, the cost was $13 per person. The property around had fruit trees and the sunset view was nice.

Delicious vegetarian food, superb pricing. We had the Casado vegetariano and Nachos vegetariano, both tasty and freshly prepared. Finished with tres leche 😋 and piña aqua . Atmosphere was cosy and friendly with excellent, friendly service. Bonus super friendly cat and dog. Definitely recommend.

Highly recommend getting off the beaten track and eating at this family run place. We were convinced by previous reviews and they did not disappoint. We watched a wonderful sunset and ate delicious food. The pork is divine!! They don’t speak English but understood our broken Spanish, menu is available in Spanish and English however.

This restaurant is a true gem in the Monteverde region. A heads up, the hours listed in google from midnight to 8 PM every day seem to be wrong. We tried to go for dinner on a Wednesday but they were closed. However, they were open for dinner on both Thursday and Friday. You can call ahead and check on their hours. However it doesn’t seem like the main owner speaks English. She was very kind and patient and we managed to muddle through with my weak Spanish skills.

This truly is a family run restaurant. While waiting and drinking some Imperial, we were introduced to the owner’s father, sister, and mother. The family dogs also hang out around the patio. The menu is simple and has traditional local dishes. Everything we tried was very tasty but we especially loved the casados (traditional plates with rice, beans, meat, a root vegetable mash, salad, and fried maduros). We tried the pork ribs and fish and they were both great. The seasoning on the fish was absolutely delicious. The chifrijo had crunchy pork rinds and a fresh pico. At the end of the meal, she brought us a little dessert. The first night was tres leches cake and the second was rice pudding. There is a gorgeous view of the sunset from the property around 6 PM in January. We bought some of their homegrown coffee and also got some local sugar to take back to the US. Overall, the food and atmosphere was so good, we ate there for two dinners in a row.

Great food and service!
We arrived today at the location of the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised, beautiful and engulfed by nature. We were the only table there and the staff really made us feel at home, our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was really good and fresh, especially the pork ribs! They also offered us a sample of the dessert and had us try their local grown coffe (which we also ended up buying). Would definitely recommend!

Outstanding family-owned restaurant in Monteverde. We had delicious casado plates: fried fish, black beans and rice, fried plantains, these very good spicy pickled vegetables as a side, a wonderful pear custard for dessert, and a cafe con leche. Very charming atmosphere too: it feels like a treehouse floating up on the canopy line. And we had a nice conversation with the owner about her family. We stumbled into the place by accident but are so glad we did. Hard to imagine any other place in Monteverde topping it.

Great food, great experience, great hosts and a beautiful location! And if you think it can't get any better, you can also order breakfast and for 1 extra dollar they will deliver it to your stay!

Ps. Bring comfortable shoes to play some ball with Oriana while you're there.

Family owned restaurant with a very laid back feel in the best way. We were served authentic tico food at great prices. The coffee served is the coffee grown on site! It's a bit off the beaten path but you are rewarded by great views!

So delicious! We wanted to get away from the touristy areas and found a hidden gem here. The owners are delightful. We felt like part of their family. Highly recommended to visit during the day to see the view.

The food was delicious! The family that runs this restaurant and very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and restroom were very clean. Our view while enjoying dinner was relaxing and beautiful even in the rain.

This family owned farm/restaurant is worth a visit. The food is from their own family farm, very delicious, and plenty of typical Tico dishes. We had fajitas, chifrijo, gallo and were very pleased. The servings were not too large but just right for a light lunch.
Their coffee is amazing and inexpensive (the restaurant in general is inexpensive). They offered a typical sobado (a typical caramel candy) and the daughter was very open to sharing recipes and information upon request. Very kind people with great products, it's a shame they are not yet distributing their products overseas!
PS. The only downside is getting there - it is a bit rough with the roads, but for us it is part of the adventure!

We had a very tasty meal with our family. We chose their recommendations for Costa Rican style food and were very happy. Great food and reasonable prices.

If you like REAL Tico Food and want to try an extraordinary „Casado“, with a stunning view while you are eating- this is the best place to be. And: you support a family, that harvest their own coffee and sugar cane. They have a beautiful garden and a little farm. Kids are welcome and the food is FRESH and delicious!

Me and my husband found this hidden gem on our way up to our airbnb. We were starving by the time we found a place with a vegetarian option. Adriana greeted us right away and layed out our options. When our food arrived it was beautiful and delicious. The coffee was amazing alongside the sugar grown directly on the farm. Had we known about the air bnb available beforehand we definitely would have stayed here for the food and beauty alone. We had a great conversation with adriana and she told us the coffee/sugarcane farm had been in the family for a long time and all about the land and products. At the end she brought us out this AMAZING squash that the slow cook for a very long time along with the sugar cane or something, but it was pure delicious. It's unlike anything we had ever tried before. Amazing family and the best food, trails to walk in the farm, hope to visit again!
