Selvatura Adventure Park

We spent all day here. Started with zip line canopy tours and even dud the last one Superman style. I was too heavy to do the Tarzan line, but it looked like lots of fun for anyone under 200 pounds. Then it was off to the restaurant to recharge and the next part of the day was touring with the 🦥 sloths, 🦋 butterflies then the reptiles. If you a bit short of time for the whole day thing the zip lines are awesome, and it was very cool to see sloths so close up. After the guided tour we went for a nice hike on the hanging bridges. One of the more exciting features of the whole day is riding the busses around the hills in town.

This park is amazing!

The reptile area was great, and the staff were very knowledgeable. There were many snakes and frogs to see and learn about.

The sloths were my favorite. Definitely worth seeing them up close in their sanctuary.

Walking the suspension bridges was beautiful and apparently it's lucky when a howler monkey poops on you. Well at least that's what they told me to feel better about it happening 😅.

The humming birds are a must if you like them, so many different ones to see!

If you're up for some adrenaline, definitely do the zip lines.

All in all, there is something for everyone here.

We have enjoyed a very good moment with the activity “Treetop walkways”. The bridges have solid metal structure and are in very good condition. There is very little movement when you are on it, which helps reassure people prone to vertigo (this was the case in our group). The landscapes leave you speechless, it is so green, lush and silent (apart from the whistling of birds and the friction of the nearby zip line). An activity that we recommend.

We discovered that the park actually has a sloth sanctuary! They have 12 rescued sloths in an amazing natural facility. It's unlikely to actually see a sloth moving or feeding in the wild so this was a golden opportunity. They are very respectful of the sloths and do minimal tours so as to not disrupt them too much. During our tour here we saw 2 sloths eating and moving around as well as the other sloths hanging and sleeping up close. We learned tons of interesting information and had a truly memorable experience! We then had lunch at the restaurant afterwards which has a beautiful view, great service, and excellent food.

Great zip lines! Sloth encounter and Butterfly exhibit were also wonderful. We also really enjoyed the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Do be sure to bring water with.you on the Zip line canopy tour though!

Hanging bridges is an amazing walk through the canopy with the ability to patiently enjoy the to of the canopy. While zip lining is thrilling going thru the clouds and must. Superman and Tarzan are highly recommended. Great friendly staff. Wonderful place

A very fun adventure! My group only had time to do the Ziplines and only this activity is worth our visit to Selvatura. The last Zipline is about a kilometer long and very high above the cloud forest of Monteverde area. The guides were fun and safety was never an issue.

I definitely recommend this place.

This is a must do adventure! Jose and his coworkers (Jose, Andres’s, and more) took such good care of our group, who were all older people. They made sure to go at a slower pace and encourage those struggling with the altitude and distance of the walk between zip lines. Remember to get tickets ahead and to wear close toed shoes. Lockers are available for $2 (cash). Picture of your adventure is $15. The part of the group who did the hanging bridges loved that also (3 miles if you do them all). Rain jacket came in handy. Restaurant was good. Butterfly exhibit was nice. Staff were wonderful!

It has a loop of 13 zip lines. The final and the longest one is about 1km.

Hanging bridges walk was also pleasant and not difficult. The down view from the bridges was mesmerizing, especially the ferns from the top.

Sloth viewing was waste of money. I would prefer to see them in wild than in in a small and contained place.

We had such a great experience walking the bridges in Selvatura! My favourite part was seeing the sloths up close and personal in the sanctuary. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to do an easy walk and check out some Costa Rican animals. We also had monkeys cross the bridge we were on at one point! Magical!

This was a great place to visit. I did the sloth sanctuary tour and the hanging bridges, which were both really enjoyable. Learned a lot from our guide during the sloth tour, and seeing so many sloths was awesome. There are a few other things you can do while you're there, so it is worth checking out!

Amazing experience! Totally worth it. We did the all day package, which is 200$. All activities were amazing. I will never forget the zip line experience and the views are incredible. Tarsan swing was shocking, but totally worth it. Sloth, butterfly and snake tours are guided tours and the guides are knowledgable and friendly. Hanging bridges also amazing. Only one disappointing part was the waiting at the reception for check-in when we had already bought the tickets online and the waiting at the beginning of the zip line. Be aware that in the morning the forest is cold.

We cannot say enough great things about Selvatura Adventure Park. We went as a group of 6 adults 2 weeks ago. We booked 5 of the Gold Packs (Zip Lines and Hanging Bridges) and had one person who, due to medical concerns was going to do the Emerald Pack (Hanging Bridges, Sloth Sanctuary and Butterfly Gardens). On the morning of our tour, we were picked up promptly from our hotel and taken to the park. At the park, the person who was weary of the ziplines saw the photos and decided she could do them. The park was so accommodating with changing her ticket. Absolutely seamless and then off we went in the van to the ziplines. WE CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about how truly GREAT the ziplines are at Selvatura. Absolutely AMAZING. The last one that spanned 1 kilometer and was 1000 meters high was the single most exciting thing most of us in our group had ever done. The day was absolutely great. Just an adventure of a lifetime. The hanging bridges were also really great with the beautiful Cloud Forest all around. I highly recommend this park. They were also very responsive when I sent them chats on the website. Truly a great experience...

The gave me a helmet on which to fix my go pro! Did the zipline adventure as a birthday present for my partner. We got the superman suits as well as the photo package at the end. It cost us 50 bucks extra at the end. We got the photos as it was a birthday and so it’s great to have those memories. The superman suit was worth it because it’s the last zipline that you do and then you can truly enjoy looking down

Time literally flies by with great people leading you.

This is a great place for the first timer (like me) or the more experienced like a few in our group. The staff (Wilson of note) were brilliant and so charming. Nothing was too much trouble.

Let's be honest, it takes about 20 mins on bumpy roads to get here from town, but once you are there, time flies past, just as you will do on the zip wires.

This was my second time here. Originally came about 10 years ago. And it was just as magical the 2nd time. We did the combo zip lining and hanging bridges tour (including transport from our hotel) and happily bought the picture package. Highly recommend Selvatura if you want a great adventure.

One of the biggest zip line companies in Monteverde, it can get busy during high season or holidays so be patient. Their zip line is safe and fun, I recommend to do the Tarzan swing and to lay extra for the superman line. The hanging bridges are amazing, a great opportunity to appreciate the cloud forest from the canopy, it's better with a guide than alone. Selvatura offers guided tours.

The hanging bridges & hike was nice, it took around an hour & half.

The butterfly, sloth & reptile exhibit/tour was great! Learned a lot & was super interesting.

They also offer free shuttle back to your hotel/home !
Definitely recommend !! It was a great day!!

Great place to see 2 toed female sloths up close! 12 when we went and 4 were active eating and moving along monkey bars. The butterfly house had many chrysalis you can watch butterflies hatching.

Amazing trail with awesome hanging bridges!
Only thing I would recommend is checking the weather before you go, it was rainy for the entire time for me 😢
