Cabaña Miramar

When I visited this cabin in 2022, I wanted to return. This place is truly magical. I returned this time for 12 nights, and did 11 days of wildlife photography. The bird life here is truly amazing and natural. Daisy and Juan are like family to me now, and I am certain it will not be my last time. Thank you to the Ramon family for preserving this paradise.

We booked 3 nights at this cabin in February 2022.  We met with Juan, Daisy and their Daughter Tatiana.  A very charming, authentic and sympathetic family.

We arrived at the cabin and saw a beautifully manicured garden with a variety of flowers.  The cabin is situated on the side of a mountain overseeing the valley and the Town of San Isidro.  Breathtaking view, especially at night.

The cabin is clean, well maintained, with a fireplace, a kitchen with all amenities, and a large balcony.  The beds are very comfortable.

Upon careful examination of the garden I was able to identify 6 species of hummingbirds.  There are no feeders here.  All hummingbirds behave naturally.  It is simply amazing to observe.

Further, there are dozens of trails which lead to a high cloud forest.  There you can find mountain toucanets, trogons, quetzals, swallow tail kytes, woodpeckers, coyotes, and dozens of other song and larger birds, some of which are seaonal. In one day we identified more than 40 species of birds.

We felt that 3 nights was not long enough so we returned for 5 more nights.

When transiting between the coast and the high mountains, you must spend some time at Cabana Miramar.  You will enjoy the natural surroundings and the hospitality and beauty of Costa Rica and Costa Ricans.

What a nice cabin that was clean, comfortable, peaceful and private for my husband and I. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable with ample warm blankets, and the shower nice with such soft towels. The stunning view of the mountains and valley could be seen from windows all along the back of the cabin or on the deck itself. The sunsets were spectacular! The garden outside of the cabin offers a beautiful variety of plants and flowers, attracting an assortment of hummingbirds and other bird species. The hiking trail behind the cabin was enjoyable and we were fortunate to see a male, female and baby spider monkey. The family hosting the cabin were all very helpful, friendly and generous. We look forward to returning in the future.

My wife and I stayed here a few days ago. We were surprised at how lovely the cabin is, how wonderful the hosts are and just how many birds there are in this area. The views of the city lights at night are spectacular. There's even a hummingbird garden with so many little critters flying around it's just magical. We are so happy we got to see this place and stay for a few nights. We will definitely return on our next trip to Costa Rica.

la cabaña estaba muy limpia, acomodada, tiene lo necesario para cocinar.
La recomiendo totalmente si lo que buscan es salir de la rutina y estar en un lugar privado, alejado de cualquier ruido y rodeado de naturaleza

Maravillosa me encanto, la Cabaña es un sueño , bien equipada con una hermosa vista un clima excelente que no dan ganas de irse la verdad , una experiencia única , espero volver pronto es de esos lugares que quedan en tu mente y corazón ♥

Anfitrión super atento, amable y servicial. El lugar limpio, impecable, acogedor, tranquilo. Cabaña equipada con todo lo necesario para una estadía placentera.

Tenemos alrededor de ocho años de estar visitando el lugar; siempre es grato por el orden, el aseo, lo acogedora que es la cabaña, el que esté equipada y la atención del señor encargado.

Excelente casa para vacacionar, acogedora, muy cómoda, bien equipada, silenciosa, rodeada de mucha naturaleza, espaciosa, con un clima muy fantástico. Nos encantó todo es está cabaña, la recomendamos.

Es un lugar bastante cómodo para ir en pareja o en familia.
Si lo que quiere es descansar y relajarse está 100% recomendado.
Ir bien abrigados y con cobijas extra.
La atención es más que excelente 👌
