Batsù Gastropub

Delicious gastropub in the mountains of Costa Rica. The food here is amazing! Full of flavor & good sized portions. We had the vegetarian burger & Batsú burger. Both were served with homemade breaded potato wedge fries. The mojitos are probably some of the best we've had! Very fresh citrus infused! This place has good indoor & outdoor covered seating in the valley between two mountains. Great place to bring a hot date while traveling through this area! We'll be back fo-sho!

This place is great. The food is amazing. The staff is friendly. Plenty of tables. There are also tables outside. Family friendly. The kids loved the fish tank. We ordered the filet mignon and chicken alfredo and they were both amazing. Prices were fair. The waiter was extremely nice and accommodating since we had small children. If you visit this place you must try the mojitos. They were very generous. All in all one of the highlights to our trip.

Really enjoyed our meal. Burgers and various other options meat, fish, pasta etc. but done really well and friendly staff. Thanks!

This place felt unassuming walking in, and the food looked good but not like something special, but it tasted great.

Best Restaurant in Canaan, really close to Chirripó National Park and Cloudbridge Nature Reserve. Feels like being with Family. Kem, Susan, Luis & Brawnin are super friendly. And the Chef David best in town.

My wife and I ate here while staying at a nearby Airbnb and were happy with our choice! She had the sesame tuna with mashed potatoes and vegetables, while I had the breaded chicken with Gruyere and figs, a salad and rice. We we're VERY pleased with these meals as well as the very friendly Tico service. There is a great view out the back of the restaurant as well. Visit Batsu- you will be very happy!

Batsù is a great restaurant.

The menu features some absolutely delicious dishes such as the stuffed chicken, the fresh trout ceviche and the beef or shrimp tacos.

We went there 3 times in 4 nights 😊 On Saturday there was live music 🎵

As a sidenote : if this restaurant would limit some of the menu options and make the side dishes (boring salad/vegetables, potatoes) a bit more elegant, it really has the potential to grow into a top gastronomical destination.

Loved this place. Had the goat cheese stuffed chicken and it was delicious.

Don't expect anything too fancy but the food is tasty, the staff super friendly and the prices very fair. Try their vegetarian burger, add guacamole and platanos and go for the country cuts: one of the best I've had!

Excellent and creative food for a good price! We had the Pizza Criollo and one a main course and both were amazing. Great choice of Cost Rican craft beer as well.

We stopped here for lunch in January 2019. Delightful place. The best lemonade I’ve ever had in my life, ever, flavored with Yerba Buena, a local mint. A delicious pulled chicken sandwich. A charming and funky space.

Americans used to very efficient service should be aware that the pace is more relaxed here. Not just this place, everywhere. The region caters to hikers and expats seeking a different way of life.

Great outdoor patio looking at the mountains. Burgers were large and very good. Surprisingly good pasta and chicken parmesan. Lots of craft beer bottles to choose from. Reasonable prices.
