Restaurante El Picadero

Just stopped for lunch. Large serving, great service and food was delicious. With a drink all for $17(US cash). They were also playing live music. We did get ice cream, it had the perfect sweetness and creamy highly recommend this stop.

So, as a foreigner in these parts, I can only tell you my experience.

With that said, I ate here almost every morning for a week, so I might know a thing or two! I stayed at the hotel that is connected to this restaurant, and would come down in the morning to grab a bite before heading to work.

The food here is absolutely delicious, and whoever is working to prepare it is seriously a great cook. I asked for the recipe for their chicken. I couldn't stop myself.

Everything is served buffet-style usually, but don't let that fool you, the food is top notch! Not to mention the incredible interior. I'm a little bit of a woodworker, so I was drooling over the incredible tables and chairs. This might seem silly, but some of these things are made out of some simply STUNNING pieces of wood.

The service here is extremely kind, even to a terrible Spanish speaker like myself. I always felt welcome and treated with respect dispite my communication barrier.

Specialty in pork and red meat. It is a mandatory stop. Whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have rustic furniture that is unique in the region, you will feel like you are in a country house and with food and personalized customer service.

Very good! The pulled pork was our favorite. They spoke enough English and we're very very friendly and helpful.

Great place, big plate/small plate pick what you want sort if thing. Amazing ribs.

I take my hat off to this we'll run business and it's team.Each day they serve an incredible steam table and salad venue I've yet to find a match for.Everything is well prepared and seasoned to my liking.The dinning room is very spacious and clean.There are amusing areas for children,and for adults the meat cases and spice racks add to an extremely well rounded experience.

Un diseño artesanal a base de maderas artísticas y jarrones de barro finamente pindatas. 🏺
Los baños super aseados, buen aroma.
Cierto que los precios sin un poco elevados comparados con San José, pero eso es muy común en zonas turísticas, la verdad para el delicioso sabor y porción de la comida valió la pena. 🙂
Una parada muy rica para refrescarse y pasarla bien.
