Awesome food, atmosphere and great service. Although there was almost an hour of wait time for tables, our guide managed to place advance order and reserve a table so we got a table in about 5 mins. Food arrived swiftly and was sumptuous- everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Great local food. Great service. Great people. Family run. Not expensive. We first ate here a year ago. We came here again this vacation. We are so much because we just kept on ordering more! This place was PACKED! It is hugely popular with the locals. Highly recommend!

They have the most delicious food and coffee! I always come here when in Poas.Their pecado desert is my absolute favorite! The atmosphere and service is also wonderful.

Absolutely delicious meal - our last dinner in Costa Rica. Great food. Loved the strawberry beer. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't walk the trail. Very good service. Clean. Well worth it!

Our guide recommended this place to stop and eat and it was one of the most memorable meals of our trip to Costa Rica. The fresh mango juice, and Yucca balls were incredible. Afterwards check out the walking garden trails and ponds across the street at no charge.

Excellent family run restaurant. Lots of locals and tourists eating and drinking. I had the “Chifreddo” which was delicious! My wife had the Freddo Tortilla which is not just a tortilla. It comes covered in chicken and melted cheese. Very delicious!
They make their own craft beer in house which was my favorite part of the whole dining experience. The brewers are doing a great job. Will visit for breakfast.

Delicious food with good service and nice atmosphere. Solid portions that kept us going for the rest of the day. Family owned restaurant that takes care of every aspect of the business. Beef tongues and pork ribs were absolutely delicious. And of course espresso coffee so strong and flavoursome. Definitely recommend it.

An excellent place to visit after a visit to the Volcán Poas.

Great traditional Costa Rican food. Very friendly staff, owner was on site to talk to his customers. I believe Pecado is their own desert creation, and it baked plantain, with volcanic strawberry jam and cheese. A tad sweet maybe, but quite nice. My casado was just perfect, cemented my liking of the costa Rican food - simple but flavourful and filling.
Place is quite big inside, with nice atmosphere. Pictures of local birds and animals I thought were like a gallery, but then you could walk outside and see just exactly those "pictures" in real life.
Great place, I'm so glad we stopped. I did ask for local, not touristy, so it ticked all boxes.

Food was great although the chicharones were a bit dry. Chicken was tender and well seasoned, the casado was delicious, Chorreada was delicious, Arros con pollo was the best. Beautiful well managed restaurant. Good service for the Costa Rican standards.

Great place to stop on the way to or from Volcan Poas. Good food in an inviting atmosphere. Service is stupendous with all wait staff speaking English.

Staff was very attentive, great food not over priced and even dessert was awesome def be back thank you . Had Fajitas & Fish with side salad 2 smoothies and the tress leches .

One of the best restaurants we ate at in Costa Rica! Definitely worth the stop for the strawberry smoothie alone. It’s frothy and not too sweet, and so full of fresh strawberries all grown in the area.

The pork chops and potatoes were so well cooked and seasoned too! Would love to come back here again and again! Got some tortillas to go from this tortilla artisan!!

Check this place out! I was recommended by a local to come here for lunch. I had a freddo casado and it was the best fish I have had during this entire trip. I asked the chef to grill the fish so it preserve the juice and the flavor. My friend had freddos homemade tortilla with pulled beef. It. Was. Full. Of. Cheese. It was probably the best of all 3 dishes we ordered.. You will get your money worth!!! My other friend ordered the Chifrijo and it was also very good. Didn't save room for dessert. :( generous portion. They take american money :)

This is a must go but be prepared to stay in queue for several time as the place is always packed with people. This being said, it's worth the wait. The food is just delicious 😋

Best CHORREADA ever! I highly recommend trying chorreada with cheese, it’s delicious !
All other dishes we had were fantastic also, great place with amazing food and very nice prices

Wow. The food is great and decor is beautiful and results can be seen by long waiting lines , over 1 hour on the weekends. Their hospitality is second to none and their deserts are to die for. We live in San Jose but the one hour drive is worth it. Definitely go on a weekday if possible.
