Chira Glamping Monteverde

Incredible stay, maybe the best hotel stay I have ever had! Staff are all so friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast and snacks included are a lovely touch. The room is beautiful, and the view is even better. We were even lucky enough to watch a sloth and her baby climbing through the trees outside our tent.

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

Room: Stunning views, everything you would expect from a glamping experience. This is a 5 star luxury situation which includes wildlife and bugs from time to time. The kitchen and room was stocked with snacks and drinks. Breakfast was amazing everyday. Outdoor shower and hot tub was fantastic.

We absolutely loved this place! We originally were booked in March 2020 when everything shut down and the staff was so great about letting me cancel. I came back this year for an even longer stay and I am so glad we did! It was worth the wait. The Monteverde area is amazing but we saw so many animals at our tent that we didn't even want to go anywhere else. We ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed that too. This is a special experience that you cant find anywhere else and I highly recommend it!

This hotel was stunning. The rooms were a very unique setup, an experience that is definitely worth having in Monteverde. The shower and hot tubs overlooking the rain forest were a huge plus. Sometimes there are bugs outside of the rooms and in the bathroom because they are outside of the tent, but it was not a problem. The service was amazing. They brought us our breakfast right at 8 am to our room which was delicious.

We also went to the restaurant attached to the hotel which was delicious! A very cool experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Certainly not cheap, but well worth it for our honeymoon! We loved the privacy of the deck with the outdoor shower and hot tub. A truly unique experience with all the comfort of a hotel room... emphasis on the GLAM, but with the bugs, animal visitors, and views of a great campsite. Loved getting delicious breakfast delivered to our deck for free (and lots of free snacks). Enjoyed having a cocktail at their restaurant! Great location, especially if you have a car to take the short drive into town. It would be quite a hill if you tried to walk! Douglas was a pleasure and gave us great super personalized tour advice!

We stayed here with our three kids for 3 nights. The family tent was wonderful. The kids loved the slide, climbing wall and hot tub. We saw a toucan fly by our first morning while enjoying coffee on the deck. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff helped to schedule some day trips in the area and offer suggestions for dinner dining that was close. Everyone was so kind and helpful. This was our favorite place while staying in Costa Rica. I highly recommend it!

This is definitely a unique place to stay at. Here, you can stay in a Honeymoon Tent with a private hot tub and outside shower. The glamping tent is very tastefully designed and has some nice technical features like speakers to stream music. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning and if you’re lucky you can spot beautiful birds and coatis.

Coolest stay of our whole trip! Very clean, welcoming, and helped us with hiking and tours. Bed comfortable, hot tub was hot, the shower is awesome, and the amenities they provide are everything you need. Had drinks at the bar, the view is amazing! Saw a kinkajou, birds, squirrel and a monkey. Would love to stay again if we ever travel back to Costa Rica!

This was such a memorable experience, the accommodations were first class and the concierge Douglas was amazing. I enjoyed a hot tub and breakfast outside while I had all of the comforts of home in the huge tent with heat and air. I would definitely recommend this for anyone including families.

We LOVED this place. From the moment we arrived, Emily was super helpful, professional, and kind. The globe, deck, and accommodations was even better than I was expecting. There were cool little unexpected surprises, like welcome snacks, coffee, etc. The hot tub was great. The outdoor glass shower was so cool! Our own deck area was super private, surrounded by jungle, birds, and we even saw a coati! The views were incredible!!!! Make sure you don't leave anything outside on the deck overnight, I made the mistake of letting my backpack on the deck, and a coati opened all the pockets and found a granola bar 😂😂 smart little critters.

The bed was amazing. Slept so good. Nice fast wifi too.

When you go, make sure to do the treetop dining experience. It is AWESOME.

The included breakfast was 10/10. Delicious. Each evening you filled out your order online and they brought it to your room in the morning.

We loved this place! We stayed in the honeymoon tent. Can’t say enough great things about this place. We stayed for 3 nights and that was just enough. Customer service, cleanliness, & comfort were 100%. Mini fridge with drinks and snacks. Fresh fruit each morning! Smart TV was a nice touch. Hot tub was perfect for 2. Glass shower over the outdoors!?! Very private & quiet. Only bummer was the dogs barking in nearby homes at night. But you can’t help that.
We ordered breakfast. Top notch! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Our stay here was perfection. The ‘rooms’ are so incredibly well done with no detail overlooked. Every single staff member was extremely kind and helpful. And we even saw coati, agouti and toucans from our balcony. A dream come true.

Exactly as described. Excellent condition, excellent views, excellent staff. Stayed in the family tent, and we enjoyed cooking breakfast each morning while our kids (8 and 10) enjoyed the climbing wall area. The hot tub and web swings were a nice bonus to have. Location is not very walkable for the average person because it is near the top of a very steep hill just a little too far from the main part of town; it’s doable, but not something I wanted to do twice.

Our two days at Chira Glamping were exceptional! Perfect service, beautiful accommodation and we had a nice dinner with fantastic views in the restaurant! Also, make sure to book a private wildlife tour with Jean Luis (through Chira Glamping)! This was the best. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely adorable! Beautiful views and extreme clean. The staff is really nice. We used the kitchen which has everything you need and lots of treats such as snacks, coffee and drinks. We also used the spa and did a massage and used the jacuzzi, Kathy was extremely lovely and we would recommend you using these facilities! You have parking space and everything you need really!

Incredible stay! Very romantic we stayed the honeymoon suite! It was picture perfect I felt like I was in a travel magazine using the glass shower. The breakfast was incredible they set up the table very nice and good quality. The only negative was the wind but was fine with ear plugs! The restaurant San Lucas was an amazing experience with incredible views. All staff very helpful

I can’t think of anything bad to say about Chira. We just kept telling the children that they were the luckiest kids alive to be staying there. The family pod is perfect, the location is convenient and the service, food and wildlife viewing opportunities are incredible. We almost cried when we had to leave. Thank you Chira, our trip was perfect.
