What a beautiful location in the rainforest! In could not get over the beauty. We spent a wonderful afternoon here. Although we didn’t see any wildlife other than birds, it was $8 per person well spent!

A short 40min drive to La Fortuna from this property, This was the perfect place for us to kick off our vacation. We spent 3 nights in the bird house. What a unique experience and stay. We hiked up the trail on the property, what an amazing view! We cooled down in the pool and enjoyed the hot springs multiple mornings. Busy with locals and families mid day but quiet at night (except the sounds of birds and howler moneys - yay)!! Lots of iguanas on the property, just look in the trees. Sodas, coffee, fruit stands and gas station nearby. Johan was amazing! Pura Vida!

We are 3 adults visiting the hot springs for the 1st time. We purchased our $8 day passes and were totally unprepared for 1 of the "Best Surprises" and definitely the "Best Value" of our month long visit to Costa Rica. If this is not listed on the "Must Visit" locations in Costa Rica - it should be.
We enjoyed a wonderful day set in the most idyllic natural setting which, in addition to the variety of warm and hot pools, also included monkeys, butterflies, and a nature walk, which encircles the facility
Although we visited before the peak tourist season, this is obviously a very "Family Friendly" environment with the amazing Treehouses sure to provide lots of great Family Memories.
There are several Hot Springs in the area, and I'm really glad we chose this one.

10/10 place I LOVE it. I go here multiple times a year. Many pools to chose from. Kids do not get bored with the cold water pool slide. Amazing

I live in Costa Rica and have been coming here for 10 years. This place is a gem! The many pools (13 or so) of varying temperatures are designed in harmony with nature. There is also a big pool with waterslides. They are emptied and cleaned regularly. The 2 treehouses and 5 casitas are well equipped, uniquely designed and furnished. Everything is maintained well and spotless. The hosts are very attentive and accomodating to your needs. A/C in all but the treehouses(not needed). Good internet, I just confirmed 50 MBPS. On top of all that, the price can't be beat!

Great place for a full day of fun on a budget! You can even grill and they have electricity! Not to mention all the different pools and slides!

This is an amazing place. On our first day we saw a sloth, poison dart frogs, and some fun birds. We woke up to the sounds of howler monkeys. The slides are wicked fast. The pools are cleaned everyday. It has been an amazing experience so far. For food you have to order 2 hours ahead for lunch or dinner, and the night before for breakfast. There are also a lot of places near by that you can go for food. All the people we talked to were very friendly, and a lot of locals spend the day at this place.

Everything about this place was incredible! If you stop to meet Kathy and Bernie you will find they are very nice people and have a ton of knowledge! We stayed in the first "tree" house and it was so cute! It was pretty free of bugs, and had the cutest towel bows! The deck was gorgeous and the overall facilities were awesome. I could go on and on about the hot springs, but really they should be the place to visit if anything at ALL in Costa Rica! It ranged from different temperatures suitable to all! They even had a cool down pool with waterslides that were pretty fast! Great with kids and an excellent surprise! It was a pleasure to stay here! Thank you so much.

This place is amazing! One of our favorite "hidden gems". Kathy and Bernie have done a fantastic job of creating the perfect relax-in-the-jungle retreat! This was our second visit (from USA), and this time we brought family to enjoy it with us. The grounds are well-kept, the hot spring pools are cleaned daily, and you can see Bernie's heart and soul poured into every bit of craftsmanship and design work.

The resort is a great beautiful little place for relaxing away from the large tourist attractions but don't be fooled lots of things to do 25 min away. Just give Frank Tours nearby a call he weill do guided tours of many place we used him for 3 days and every place we went was a hidden gem away from the normal crowds you get on most tours

Beautiful design and construction and all day fun. Everything was clean and well laid out. Bathrooms and changing rooms were plentiful and spaced out along the 12 pools. Day use spots have tables, benches, grills, and electrical outlet. Definitely returning!

Very friendly. Were patient with us despite having issues with getting to them due to delays getting into the country. The tree house was lovely. The property was very nice. The large slides were a lot of fun, even for two adults, much faster than they appeared they would be. We got to sit in a hot spring tub and watch toucans eat in the tree above us which was just awesome! When we went to breakfast in the morning, we even got to see 3! green macaws flying about putting on a bit if a show for us.

Bio Thermales is a gorgeous space where much needed rest and relaxation was welcomed. Surrounded by nature’s beauty in the peaceful hot springs was like paradise. Hearing the rain and cicadas, birds, frogs, crickets and all meditative sounds of the forest was ideal for sleeping. Our recommended driver and guide Frank was outstanding. Highly recommend Bio Thermales
