Palo Verde

A highlight to our trip in the area--if not possibly the "thing" that saved and re-established a happy moment to our vacation after many mishaps.
The food is delicious and the service was on point. We tried chifrijo, camarones al ajo, pargo entero, and mariscos con arroz. Every meal was excellent.
A hidden gem if you are in the area traveling by.

Delicious food, excellent service! The hot sauce is excellent too, and the shrimp and rice was a perfect lunch during a long road trip.

A great spot to stop between San Jose and Liberia! We needed to stretch our legs and get the kids out of the car! We ended up finding this place by chance from the roadside signs and were happy we did. The ambience is nice. The food excellent. I’d recommend the chicken and rice and starting with frijoles molidos con queso. To drink you can’t beat their mint lemonade.

The owner and staff were wonderful people and let us try some of the more interesting menu items we had never tried before.

What a lovely gem hidden away from the main road. We were only passing by looking for a place to have lunch and went for Palo Verde. So glad we did, the staff were amazing, food very nice, within half an hour of our arrival the restaurant got packed with locals, which I totally understand as it really is a great place to enjoy either quick lunch or a family gathering.
The owner of the restaurant surprised us with a delicious homemade shot, spicy tomatoe thing 😋 oh, and the guanabana fresh juice was awesome!!!

Awesome typical food restaurant right in the middle of the jungle. Very open, clean and accesible. They even have a lagoon if you want to freshen up. Customer service is excellent, very professional and personalized. I'd definitely recommend the chifrijo and DO NOT leave without tasting their house shots.
