The Green Restaurant

Soooo good!

Arrived to Monteverde today and looked for a nice place to eat. After a quick search we decided to try out the Green restaurant and it was an excellent choice! The service was super friendly, the food was delicious, fresh and filling. Our family of four had a wonderful evening!

Ordered: rib-eye steak, classic hamburger and kid's meal chicken fingers with beer and a glass of Malbec.

The food was absolutely delicious, my family of five all enjoyed each one of our meals they were extremely great value for money and we were left wanting to have more time to eat there should we have been in the area longer! 100% recommend if you are visiting the Monteverde area!

Service was great and super friendly. The Tuna steak was delicious, and there is a great view of the sunset from the restaurant. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a relaxing dinner in Monteverde.

Absolutely the best meal we've had in Costa Rica! A small family run restaurant, reservations are almost essential. If we were staying longer we'd be eating there every night.

We were in the area looking for a place to eat and decided to come here after seeing ribeye in the menu. While waiting to be seated (reservation is strongly recommended), we started chatting with a local customer who came here for the ribeye 😄. It's indeed the best ribeye I've had. Even better than $30 ones. The daily special is short ribs, a little sweet for me but very tender. The smoothie is delicious too.

Best meal in Monteverde! It was on the top floor of a large plaza with plenty of parking spots. The staff was great, we all had different dishes and they were all fresh and tasty! From the pineapple and watermelon juices to yummy milkshake! My daughter mentioned it was “real vanilla bean” milkshake. We had the rib-eye steak, pasta, mixed skewers, tuna steak( which I had), and a variety of salad. All was delicious! We also had dessert at the end even though we were all very full! It’s a must if in Monteverde!

Nothing beats a simple pasta dish that’s full of flavors and not over-priced like many of the restaurants here in Santa Elena. Great food. Great service with good prices. Highly highly recommended!!

This place is nicely located on the second floor of the plaza with a really nice sunset view. There are a few seatings outside and some tables inside.
The food is really good and tasty. Their watermelon smoothies wlwas our favourite.

Great tasting food at a good price and great service. We stayed three nights in Monteverde and ate here three times in total (two times for lunch, one for dinner). At dinner it is super busy so maybe make a reservation. We had to wait ten minutes at dinner once to get a table and people queue up.

Loved the service and enjoyed the food. Had the surf and turf, burger and chicken mushroom - all good. The burger is probably the least impressive, but I enjoyed it all. Lovely staff, went back the next night.

It’s not often while on vacation that we go back to the same restaurant twice, and order the SAME menu item - but this was an exception!

The steak panini (panini de lomo) is super tender and the caramelized onions take this sandwich to another level of greatness!!

The burgers are huge, and the garlic bread appetizer nice and soft with lots of flavor.

We will eat here everyday of our vacation. Best meals we've ever had at a restaurant, anywhere! In addition to the incredible plate presentation, the portion sizes were just right, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The prices were reasonable, and the service was amazing.

Great quality ribeye and tuna steak for low price. Nice sunset views. Parking is much easier than other parts if town.

We ate here twice during our stay in Monteverde and were not disappointed. Both the tuna and sea bass were excellent and Davis our server is wonderful and very personable. Pricing is reasonable and you owe it to yourself to try this small restaurant. Make reservations to insure you'll have a table as seating is limited to 8 tables.

Kudos to the chef! I ordered the nightly pasta special, and it delivered in spades. Spaghetti with a tomato/red-wine reduction sauce, with jalapeno peppers and mixed seafood. Sounded so weird I had to try it, and it was amazingly good. Server was funny and engaging. I would definitely eat here again.

Highly recommend for lunch or dinner in Monteverde! Lovely little patio where you can watch the clouds roll over the mountains, nice servers, and absolutely delicious food! Also easy to get to by car or walking. My husband got a burger and said it was probably one of his favorite meals while we were in Monteverde.

THE BEST restaurant we found on our two week stay in costa rica. We ended up going every day for about 7 days and never got bored.

The service is always top notch. David and Emmanuel are quick and attentive and so are the chefs. Everything feels like a well oiled machine.

The steaks are great quality and cooked to perfection. The homemade hot sauce is so, so good. And the creamy sauce that comes with the tuna steak!! And the watermelon smoothie, and the chocolate brownie too.

The fish in all forms was delicious! They were also very flexible and made us several vegan food alternatives. One of the best meals we have had In Monteverde!
