The most delicious Pizza, cooked in an authentic brick oven, tastes just like home. Huge, fresh salads, with the finest vegetables and cheese. Fresh baked buttered, garlic bread, served hot, and perfectly baked. Pasta cooked just right, in savory sauces, with shrimp, meat, or veggies. Drinks made with fresh ingredients, not too sweet, blended just right. The service is tremendous, with all of the servers 100% helpful, courteous, and appreciative of your patronage. And prices extremely reasonable. If you are longing for some real Italian American food, just like back home, you MUST store Matobe’s in your GPS’s “favorite” places.

Wonderful place for a pizza in Puntarenas. Nice atmosphere, great food. Fast serving. And nice servants as well. Just beer with icecubes....not sure. But hey take a calzone suprema and you are happiest!

The place is excellent. The pizza is delicious and reminds me of real Italian pizza. The pasta is also very good. If you are looking for good bread in Costa Rica, this is the place to go. The prices are a little bit higher than in other restaurants in the area but well deserved. The ambience is very nice and comfy and the portions are on the larger side. When you order pasta you also get garlic bread and a small salad as a side.

Good food, including the chicken and salad dish. But don't order a margarita if you want alcohol in it. Owner admitted they don't put much alcohol in them so they will be "smoother." LOL. But they exchanged them for beers. I recommend the place.

The best pizza esperienze i had outside of Italy, the owner Is really nice and the waiters are on point.
Their pizza Is Better than the One You can get in most restaurante, even in Italy.

Came back after a few years and it hasn’t missed a beat. My favorite spot in Puntarenas with a great view, great food and great service. Do yourself a favor and get a small (HUGE!) calzone and mojito.

Matope's has the best pizza hands down on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Located on the beach front boulevard, Matope's features oven made pizza as well as pasta dishes and salads. Wine by the glass or bottle is available. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Muy recomendado! Deliciosas pastas y pizzas, hecho todo en el momento. A los que les gustan los mojitos, o la versión no alcohólica, la limonada con hierbabuena es buenísima. Y el trato es muy bueno.

Exquisita comida. Simplemente deliciosa. Pizza que invita a pedir más. Las pastas se ven muy apetecibles. La atención es muy buena. El local es acogedor pero pequeño y se llena mucho, por lo que se debe hacer fila de espera para ingresar, puede pedir para llevar o llegar temprano para comer tranquilamente.

La ensalada de pollo es espectacular y las pizzas de cualquier sabor son deliciosas. Servicio rápido y constante. Super recomendado

Es la mejor pizzería en Puntarenas y como leí en otro review... de todo el Pacífico Central. El tamaño de las porciones y el sabor van muy acordes al precio en realidad.
Está ubicado en un sector un poco bullicioso del Paseo de los Turistas dado a la proximidad de algunos bares pero si vale la pena y el lugar es bastante abierto y bonito.
Se llena rápido eso si.

La pizza 🍕 💯 %, la atención igual. El calzón y el panino un éxito. Lugar súper recomendado, ambiente sobrio, elegante e ideal para charlar. Música adecuada para acompañar. Viene a Puntarenas ? Pase por acá!!!

La pizza es deliciosa, un exquisito sabor, el ambiente es muy tranquilo, a veces hay que esperar si se llega después de las 8 pm ya que el lugar pasa bastante lleno.
