FloMar is a sweet little shack cafe down a gravel lane. The food is freshly made to order. We walked round the garden while waiting for food. It's a nice family run spot. The fresh fruit juice was fabulous. Pretty short menu as you would hope in a small cafe but all done beautifully. The proprietress takes dollars and local currency. The home made chili pickle was very tasty.

Excellent home cooked food. The fish sandwich with grilled Tilapia was amazing. Nicole is a great cook and very nice to talk to. Also very reasonably priced. Paid less than 20€ for lunch incl drinks for 2 people. Would definitely come back.

Small family restaurant. Very kind and handcooked meal - made with love. Greens grown there. Chatted with the family for some while and really enjoyed the Tico enchiladas & empanadas we ordered. Great veggie options. Delicious, and laid-back and inexpensive.

In the week we spent in Monteverde we ate here a few times. Niccole is super friendly and a great cook! You eat on her patio and she cooks in her outdoor kitchen. Lettuce was organic and from the property. We tried a variety of dishes and particularly enjoyed her Casado and empanada. Her young niece was super friendly with our kids and we saw a coati wandering around one of the visits. Her prices are great and I would HIGHLY recommend eating here to anyone going to Monteverde.

Best meal of its kind I had in Costa Rica and the people were so lovely. I feel lucky to have experienced real home cooking.

This is THE BEST Costa Rican food I've ever had, truly made by a grandmother with love. (Plus she's married to a Quaker!)
