We did the evening tour and it was absolutely fantastic. Guillermo was an incredible guide, so knowledgeable, and we were able to spot all kinds of insects, birds, and mammals. At the end we even saw an owl and an armadillo. 10000% recommended

We did a night walk tour with Marvin as our guide. He was great, very knowledgeable, and educational. He seemed to have a gentle personality and cared about the forest and wildlife. As with any nature hole you never know what you might see, we saw some sleeping birds, a snake, a tarantula and a bat feeding which Marvin said was only his third time seeing, kinda rare to capture.

It a nice place to walk around and with some luck to see some wild animals. I spend more than 2 hours walking around and enjoying the nature. During this time it was possible to see capuchin monkeys and a lot of coatis.

Such an exciting night tour, thanks to Walter and the other guides. Highly recommend. We had a small group with kids ages 8-10 years old.

We arrived around 8:30am and were greeted at the entrance by Capuchin Monkeys, an Agouti and a Lesson’s Motmot! The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Great place to spot wildlife, especially birds! The trails are nice for hiking and we’re not very busy while we were there. We purchased our tickets at the reception building.

Good place doing a good thing. Saw couple dozen birds, only could really get a good look at coupe. Saw a couple ground mammals.

I would recommend this for having more of a focus for hiking rather than animal spotting but it’s definitely worth a visit. Had the trails mostly to myself.

A beautiful park with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Came here in the afternoon and had the trails mostly to myself. Really felt immersed in nature. I’m an avid hiker and found the Jaguar trail doable but definitely got the heart pumping. A lovely addition to the more popular parks. Really showcases the biodiversity of this region.

What a fabulous place! And a good cause! We took a wonderful 3-hour hike through an amazing rainforest, unlike lots of other destinations in Costa Rica, there was no one else around. The people at the main office were very helpful in suggesting our route and telling us about the local Flora and fauna as well as wildlife. Much recommended

Visited unguided during the day and came back for a guided night hike. The staff are great and the wildlife viewing was fantastic. Saw the three wattled bell bird, manakin, agouti, motmot, and so much more!

It was a wonderful hike with the kids, my 3 and 9 yr old kids managed the whole walk. The lush vegetation was very healing and the view from the lookout was amazing!

We did the Night Tour with our group from school. Our guide was fantastic, he's been hosting tours for over 30 years. He managed to find all sorts of critters in the dark. At one point he lured a tarantula spider from it's den -- I'm not okay with almost any spider, it was hard to watch without freaking out. The experience was a lot of fun, the walk was more intriguing because it was at night. We saw a tiny frog, a scorpion, large grasshopper, large cricket, sleeping butterflies, armadillo, a few tarantulas, Daddy long legs, a few birds and more. Definitely worth going on the tour!

Very beautifull place. The views are amazing and we saw a lot of birds. The park is a nice walk. You can do a easy part and a more difficult part. We liked both. The profit goes to help the rainforest around Monteverde, so that is extra cool.

Beautiful trails in a serene cloud forest. Our kids loved it, and we saw an agouti, many beautiful birds, and heard capuchins but we forgot to bring our binoculars to get an up close glimpse. The staff were amazing, really informative and have great suggestions for other places to visit. We were here in the rainy season so it was misty but that added to the atmosphere for sure!

Took a night walk in this national park. Best to take a guide. As you can see from the photos. Lots to see including a tarantula which came out of hiding

Saw Bellbird, Motmot and Manikins! Even some nice pictures. Win! Both receptionists were so nice telling us that the Motmot comes to the reception just about daily, and two came as predicted 😊

Beautiful hiking trails. Plan to spend 1.5 to 3 hours here. There is one difficult trail but it is not mandatory to complete the loop. We saw white-faced monkeys and other animals. The view is impressive. Admission was $16 for adults.

We saw these two furry friends during our visit. So so so happy 😀 love the mission of the forest as well. The mirador to look at the forest is beautiful. The walk is super easy and family friendly also.

Did the challenging Jaguar trail in the morning. We saw a few motmot birds. We did a guided tour at 1:30pm. Excellent guide, Guillermo Vargas. He showed us a snake up in a tree and a tarantula down in a hole.
Beautifully kept trails.
Our first visit and trail so couldn't compare it to anything.
