Rainbow Valley Lodge

This place is amazing. We got a nice welcoming atmosphere with a very helpful staff member named Marvin. He gave us a map of the area and offered to connect us with any of the activities in the area. He shows us our room (#6) and we were immediately greeted by the location's puppers. There were three very friendly dogs. We also encountered a little orange tabby when we got back in the evening. He followed us into our room and spent the evening with us (we had the door open the entire time for him to leave, but he wanted to chill with us). The rooms were spacious, clean, and had amazing views. I recommend anyone in the area or looking for monteverde accommodations to stay here. It's nice and quiet with gorgeous views (local friendly pets are a bonus).

Wow, loved it here. The views are fabulous, being up in the cloud forest was awesome. Arrived 3ish, was sunny and clear and within the hour the cloud dramatically moves in. Great rooms, spacious, comfortable, clean, and in a great location very close to the cafe and cloud forest.
Leave a bit of time for the cafe to soak up the numerous beautiful hummingbirds.
Roads are bumpy and there are lots of potential-holes but you just drive slowly and it’s fine…just slow so always leave extra time.
Great stay, would return.

We stayed here around the end of November and would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Monteverde. Service was wonderful and the rooms were clean and cool at night. We had a valley view from our unit (#11) and it was so stunning to wake up to for the two nights we were there. They also allowed us to check-in early with our luggage which was much appreciated as we didn't want to haul it around with us all day. Lovely staff! Additionally, if you are looking for delicious Tacos/Burritos, try Taco Station which is just around the corner from the Lodge!

Also they had puppies at the front office that were very happy to come out for some pets through the fence which was the cutest.

Amazing place. Certainly not the luxury hotel, but rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. This is simply the hotel with the best view for my Costa Rica trip. You can see rainbows, watch sunrise and stargaze right in the room!

This hotel was amazing! The rooms were spacious and cool. The view of the forest from the window was gorgeous.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. They can book any of the local attractions and arrange transport too.
The town was only a 10 minute walk up a hill, so the location was ideal.
It was easy to get pick up and drop off for the local tourist attractions.
The laundry service was great and not too expense.

Outstanding! We booked through AirBnB and secured hut number 9 which has simply outstanding views. I couldn’t recommend staying here more highly.

Rainbow Valley Lodge is absolutely beautifully situated. Any of the pictures you can see that I have posted have been taken from our apartment (number 9, strong recommendation for it if you're booking here). The view of the mountains is spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable and you can happily while away an afternoon on the porch sipping drinks. The service is great, they'll book excursions on your behalf and help with any transfers. They also provide good local knowledge and decent places to eat. This is genuinely one of my favourite places I've stayed. It's amazing.

Beautiful lodge, and location. Has excellent view of the cloud forest. And walking distance to all the shops, Beware tho at night time, do not leave doors or windows without screen open. As the roaches and insects are crazy at night and will enter the room. I taped off the gaps between the screen of the windows and the door gaps at night and that definitely solved the insect issues. I guess they need to have better screens to avoid this issue… nevertheless a stunning location and you will have visitors in the form of animals if your the chosen one…

I loved our stay here so much. Our bungalow had absolutely everything we needed, and felt so private amongst the other bungalows on property. We had amazing views of the rainforest right from our bed, and could sit out on our banlcony to watch the clouds roll in over the forest. The staff was very helpful and kindly waited for us as we checked in later in the evening. We were only a short drive from the center of town, but felt like we were in our own little world!

Amazing lodges overlooking Monteverde mountains. We had our own private cabin and balcony with a wonderful view and a parking spot. Ana at reception was super helpful in giving recommendations and is available via What's App with any questions. All facilities were great and we had a TV and kitchenette so we had everything needed. Can't wait to come back.

Stunning place. We had room 9 which has the most incredible views. Helpful staff who'll sort transport etc if you don't drive. Three lovely dogs, too. Shop across the road for basics. Great kitchen facilities.

We loved it here! The bungalows were homey and had everything we needed during our 2 night stay. The Monterverde version of Uber Eats was incredibly helpful and convenient and delivered straight to our room when we stayed in due to the unpredictable weather. Axl made great recommendations and was extremely helpful in arranging excursions and transportation. It is located on a steep hill, so if you have mobility issues, it would be challenging to get to and from your bungalow.
This place lived up to its name - we saw rainbows every day! I would highly recommend Rainbow Valley Lodge to anyone looking to stay in the area. The views from our unit were magical!

Wow, this place had such hospitality (Ana was amazing) and THE VIEW was stunning. I was awake every sunrise to see the amazing sunrise from our big balcony. It’s just outside of Santa Elena , only a few minutes by car. So peaceful and offering complete privacy. The room was clean, had TV, fridge and a kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. A must when in Monte Verde !

Didn't see any rainbows, but the views were amazing! The staff is very friendly and super helpful in navigating the town, food options, and list of activities (Ana walked us through our ziplining options and helped book a shuttle!). There are also a bunch of cute dogs running around.

10/10 would recommend and will definitely go back (and hopefully see a rainbow)

Awesome views, we saw 🌈 rainbows and epic rainforest. You are high up here do it it cooler and a bit windy but don't let that put you off. Hosts were great and arrange tours for us with no extra fee

Really nice bungalow! Cozy with a kitchen to make your own meals, coffee… Amazing view to the jungle. The owner and the staff arranged all our activities for us. We didn’t even have to think about what to do best, they explained us everything when we got there. We did day and night walk in the cloud forest and the zip line and Tarzan aventure tour. Everything was more than we expected for a really fair price.

This hotel is amazing. Great views. Clean and comfortable with all the required amenities. The staff at reception are a tremendous help at recommending places to visit and are very knowledgeable on times, road conditions, etc.

Only downside was the one night where I believe a tree branch was rubbing on the roof of my lodge and I would recommend they add a curtain or some window covering over the kitchenette as the street lamp was shining directly inside the room.

I highly recommend for the views, knowledgeable staff, great WiFi, nearby amenities such as grocery, restaurants and tourist attractions.
