Termales Hacienda Orosi

We had to kill like 4 hours waiting for our flight and this place was the absolute best choice for doing it! Pools were hot, the coolest one isn't quite cold but felt plenty cold after using the hottest. Other guests were friendly, service was chill. Place wasn't too busy either so we had plenty of space to ourselves when we wanted it. Try the mud scrub! (It's free)

My husband and I went on a day trip to Termales Hacienda Orosi and absolutely loved it. Absolutely gorgeous. We had a lot of fun on the self guided coffee tour and enjoyed the amazing views. We also did a self guided tour of the farm and had delicious empanadas at the little restaurant by the farm. The highlight was the hot springs. They had several hot springs with different temperatures, which were very relaxing, and the views were stunning.

Worth the drive and the experience! We visited in the rainy season and still had a phenomenal time. It was so nice to hop in the springs after the coffee tour hike, and enjoy a relaxing lunch or breakfast. The staff was very helpful and kind, and we felt welcomed by both the locals and travelers.

The hot springs are gorgeous and wonderful to relax in- they have various pools of different temperatures which is nice to experience so you can find the level of heat you are comfortable to relax in. The food was good and nice to have on site but definitely isn’t anything super special. The trail for the coffee tour is long with photo ops if you want but if you want a real coffee tour where you get to learn all about the process from start to finish I would go elsewhere

The hot springs were amazing. Different pools of differing temperatures all with scenic views of the mountains. Great relaxing atmosphere and definitely something I recommend experiencing.

This place was so beautiful. Not so crowded and safe. I took a trip to this place with my best friend, we had a blast. I'm not going to lie the day pass was a little expensive, but we took advantage of the interactive activities they had such as hiking, viewing the farm animals, and the hot springs. Food prices were okay. Typically, I'd choose to go to the beach but this was a pleasant change. The weather varied between cloudy,cold, rainy and sunny. I left pretty happy with my trip.

Perfect one-day trip to wind down:

✅Five small infinity pools with different water temperatures (32-38°C) the water was pleasant that we didn’t even mind the rain.
✅Stunning open-air views of the mountains. ✅Delicious food at the restaurant.
✅a hiking trail (5km)
✅a farm where you can feed friendly horses, pigs and birds.
The staff was super friendly and useful.

Had an amazing day here for my 40th birthday! We went right when they opened and the pools were wonderful and uncrowded. We did the coffee adventure hike and while it was hot and pretty steep in places, it was worth it! We saw a coati, monkey and a coral snake on our hike and enjoyed playing on the vines near the waterfall on the way back down!

If you got to Costa Rica, this place is a MUST! Absolutely beautiful, great, service, very relaxing. Plan to spend a whole day here if you can, i was only there 3 hours with a tour and was so sad to leave. There is a 2 hour long trail, farm animals, and food. Everything is optional and you can go at your own pace. The food isn't the best but I think everything else makes up for it. I can't wait to come back and spend the day here.

We only had a layover of 10 hours at San Jose and decided to spend it in nature and take a taxi to Hacienda Orosi. It was well worth the drive, the pools have different temperatures and the mud was wonderful on the body. We spent about 3 hours, enjoying the thermal springs and the shower. There was no time to eat at the restaurant or take the coffee tour in the farm, we will come back.

Such a gorgeous place and the food is excellent. Mixed seafood ceviche was excellent. Loved the passionfruit monitor. Just a relaxing and beautiful place. Not crowded, no tourists (except us).

Awesome time at Hacienda Orosi. Beautiful property and atmosphere. Made a reservation and arrived about 30 minutes late (0930). Mostly had the place to ourselves for several hours (a few other guests). There are several pools that range from cold to very hot. We took advantage of the mud body mask. It is self applied and you must ask to have it brought. Take some shower type shoes, because the wood and ground gets very hot. Towels are provided and the restrooms are well stocked with soaps. Locker provided for your things to lock away while visiting. There is a very nice tour you can take of the coffee farm and view the animals. Many opportunities for good photos also. Restaurant and bar are there for your enjoyment. You can leave a card and run a tab. Menu is in both English and Spanish. So worth a visit. A must do for a relaxing day. I didn’t shower after because the internet said (so must be true - ha) that you lose some of the benefits of the minerals from the spa. I highly recommend and plan to visit again when I get back to Costa Rica

We have been twice and this is a hidden jewel up in the mountains outside of San Jose. Each pool gets progressively more hot. Views of the valley are beautiful. The food here is also incredible.
This place is worth the trip.
UPDATE: just returned for our third visit. As before, the service was incredible. We all had the octopus and it was absolutely fantastic!
All of the staff is super helpful and kind.
I cannot wait to visit again on our next trip to Costa Rica. They are opening a small hotel on the property and hopefully we will be among the first to stay.
UPDATE: We went back again last week and it was still as fantastic as our first trip. This has become my favorite place to visit in Costa Rica when I’m the San Jose area. It is a quick drive up the mountains and you are transported to above the clouds. Once again I had the absolutely delicious octopus. Picture this time.

The location is expectacular. The service is outstanding. All the stuff was very friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful with lots of exotics flowers. The pools have different temperatures and there is even a little waterfall you can enjoy. I was offered free of charge balls of mug, towels, and lockers. The restaurant is right by the pool and offer lots of food choices. The walk to the animal farm is fun and interested. All animals were keep in good condition. There is even a lake for the ducks. Know that only the people the use the pools have to pay to get in. This was a bit confusing on the website. I highly recommend the place for families, couples or people looking for healing water.

Was there for few hours and amaze with atmosphere of relaxation. Start from flowering green house to Mountain View follow beyond the spa pools. Little pricing on entrance and food, but the quality and experience are totally worthy.

This place is beautiful. But most beautiful was the service and treatment we received from everyone part of the staff. Mostly from the guy who manages the lockers keys and towels logistics at the "night pass". His name is Nixon... his kindness, courtesy and humbleness was outstanding. Very nice from him and did care about any detail he could.

I just left and I am typing my review from the uber - Give this place a visit if you can! Beautiful views, friendly and amazing staff, multiple springs to choose from all of amazing temperatures. Even if it rains, you can go and enjoy all amenities! We love it and will be back!
