Monteverde Brewing Company

A gem. Owners and staff are absolutely lovely people. Service was perfect. Place is nice, clean, comfortable. Easy to find. Food options for everyone, beer is great! The veggie burger is very good. One of those places with good vibes that you want to return to.

We went to Monteverde brewing company for lunch and we were very satisfied. First, we were served by John and Henry that offered an amazing service.

On the food side everything was as expected.

For the beers, my group love beer in general. The thought that the beers were well crafted and very light and refreshing. This fitted well with the hot temperature.

The beers are pretty good, but the food is fantastic. Highly recommend the patacones and the vegan burger!!! We aren’t vegan but the burger and the veg fries were SO tasty. Great service too - friendly and fast! Cannot say enough good things about this place.

I went to Monteverde Brewing Company. I had a burger with fries and five different beers. Everything was really good.

Everything a brewery needs. Great beers, great food, adorable brewery dog. Very American-brewery feel, in picturesque Monteverde. We tried four different beers, all were delicious. This would definitely be a regular spot if we weren’t just passing through on vacation.

Wouldn't expect to have a brewery serving pretty delicious food in this part of Costa Rica that isn't their main cuisine. Typical North American bar food with amazing beer to accompany it. Would be coming here twice a week had I been living here. If you're craving some good beer and fried chicken wings... This is your spot... Ask for Lily and Russ. Great service

It felt great to taste other beers than imperial in Costa Rica. Menu looked delicious. I had the veggie burger and it was great. The experlliarmus beer was good.

The best IPAs in Costa Rica and some of the best in Central America. A tasting flight is best way to sample what they have on offer. Other style beers available as well.
The hamburgers were very good too.
Lots of hard surfaces can make it very noisy when loud Americans talk...

We love this place! The local owners clearly take pride in their work, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food (patacones and crispy chicken burger) was very fresh and the beers (hazy IPA and coffee stout) were delicious. We’ll be back again before we leave town.

Great spot for a post hike beer and snack! We each got a couple beers (both delicious) and the chips and guac and cauliflower wings. Probably the best veggie wings I’ve ever had and the sauces they paired with them were great. Would recommend!

Very good craft beer brewed onsite and served here. Around 10 beers to choose from. 4000-4500 Colones a 'pint' so not bad for Costa Rica prices and considering the quality of the ale. The burgers we had were very decent too.

Wow, who would have thought you could get awesome craft beer in CR!! Puts to shame some of the microbreweries back home! Thank you John for the insights on the beer and thank you to the brewmaster for crafting magic! Wish I could bring back a keg of coffee stout! A few more drink options for non-beer drinkers would make it even better! i.e. wine or mixed drinks

This place is a gem. We found it by happenstance. The beers were excellent and a food was out of this world. John and Henry took great care of us. Well worth the visit. Looking forward to going back before we leave.

Excellent beer, friendly service, especially John and Lilian. A bit off the beaten path but so worth it if you like a good local brew. We had the Amber, APA and the spicy IPA. Each was excellent! We also had the fried plantain appetizer which is not to be missed!

This was a great place to enjoy a good microbrewed beer! I like that they had vegetarien/vegan options. Everyone had a burger and we thought they were pretty good.

We had a great time! It is a charming, authentic local brewery with a small curated selection of beers. The food was delicious, and my friends were particularly happy for the tasty choice for vegetarians. I did not expect such a lovely place in Monteverde. We had dinner there, after visiting the Selvatura. Worth the little detour! Thank you to Henry, Angelica, Silvia and Isela for a fantastic service. Tico pura vida at its best.

Great brews and very good food. Initially, we felt uncomfortable with the service… but then Henry reached out to apologize, which we value a lot! it takes courage to recognize your mistakes and strength to expose yourself after to fix it, kudos bro! Will definitely be back.

As a local I just never get tired of coming back to the Monteverde brewing, their food, beer and hospitality is something else!
Happy to have this amazing restaurant with great hamburgers and other dishes, special house sauces and delicious and refreshing beers,
Highly recommend my favorites the Rayado beer and the crispy chicken hamburger.

We arrived here in the absolute pouring rain and were quickly welcomed in.
We started with a flight each of the 'all year' beers and can hands down say these are THE best craft beers in Costa Rica.
Henry was really friendly and happy to talk about their brewing and was very informative about craft beer in Costa Rica.
Food wise, we tried the Patacones and found them tasty and super filling.
A MUST go if you're in Monteverde and you like beer.

Note to the Master Brewer: Give fruit beers a chance! You have world class fruit, would love to try a pineapple brew ; )

Excellent brewery in Monteverde. We tried most of the beers on our first visit and enjoyed them all, some more than others due to personal tastes. We ordered a burger each too that were very good and definitely more gourmet than some restaurants in the center for a similar price. As we're in Monteverde for 2 months we'll definitely be back again.
