Plaza de Bolívar Salento

It's a great place to chill out, grab a bite, have a beer or just see the world come by. Cars are not allowed into the plaza so that's a plus. There are many options for food and the handcraft strip is just right there on the left of the church. The town is full of foreigners and national travelers all over.

Sale to Bolivar square is natural and gorgeous Ibrecomend leaving the cars at the parking lot and walk there. There are amazing coffee shops.

Great place to chill and find everything you need for your trip to the Colombian Coffee Axis, souveniers, coffee shops, a small stand in one of the sides of the plaza to buy coffee tours and transportation to Valle del Cocora.

One of the most picturesque pueblos in Colombia.
Even if it is a touristic place, both for national and foreign tourists, it is doing a great job maintaining it's original details. Gastronomy, architecture... and the amazing Paisa people!

Absolutely safe. Lots of Europeans and Americans. Lots of beautiful women. Jeeps to go everywhere around.

One can feel standing on the past. This plaza is beautiful, full of life, with locals, tourists and vendors.

Loved this little square with lots of restaurants, shops, supermarket, pharmacy etc. The kids loved the rides in the little jeeps. We came a few times and were not bored.

This was definitely one of my favorite towns in Colombia. We enjoyed Horseback riding and then a delicious trout lunch in the square followed by a little shopping

Nice place to walk, you can find any kind of food or beverages. In this place you can also find the Jeeps to go to Cocora's Valley

In a nutshell: ❤💙💛❤💙💛 Absolutely LOVE Salento. One of the 10 best places to visit in this wonderful country. Period! - Small enough you can enjoy a full day there and see it all. Big enough you can enjoy an entire day there and you won't want to leave!

Really a cool little town, had breakfast at a restaurant in the town plaza, very good, the town is a typical Colombian town full of jeeps and a lot of tourists, Salento has always been one of our favorites. Always enjoy visiting Salento.

Plaza with ATMs, supermarket and where the Willy jeeps leave for Cocora Valley. Buy tickets at the booth near the jeeps, get both outward and return ticket at same time (4,500 each way, so 9,000 total per person). Ignore timetable, jeeps leave when full (about 12 people).
