We booked a tour in Spanish and were the only 2 :) but the English tour seems to be really busy. However, our guide Daniela was really good, knew a lot about coffee production and was able to answer all our questions! Definitely worth to visit and when you want to improve your Spanish, book this tour with Daniela :)

I got their traditional coffee tour, which was 47,000 COP. It was more expensive than other tours, because some of them started at 30,000.

I purchased the tickets at the Willy station, the day I was going. And the price included a return transportation on Willy’s from Salento to coffee farm.

If you want the full 3 hour coffee tour, I suggest you book in advance as it’s limited space and they book up early. I am not sure about the price for that, but it might be close to 100,000 from what I heard in passing.

Our tour guide was AMAZING. Spoke perfect English, was funny, and walked us through the entire process. They also tell you can keep your backpacks in storage for the duration of the tour if you prefer not to carry it with you.

You also get to try a coffee at the end.

I haven’t tried any of the other coffee farms, but this was a lively experience and would be happy to recommend it.

And it’s a cute area to enjoy. They have a cafe with a cute sitting area.

Also, they had this sign showing that the Santa Rita waterfall was an hour by foot. I didn’t try this, so I can’t confirm if it’s a marked trail. But pointing this out in case someone wants to make a day of it.

The best coffee tour ever! Our guide Jonathan was so friendly and fun and answered all of our questions informatively and with a smile. I didn’t realise how much there was to learn about coffee- or how badly I was making mine- until now❤ highly highly recommend this tour! We paid $40,000 COP for an hour and a half and it was perfect! We got to pick our own coffee beans and plant them and after the tour we prepared and drank incredible coffee!

There are a lot of coffee tours to pick from and I'm so glad we picked this one. It was the best! The guided tour through the coffee fields, learning about the cultivation process, and tasting the freshly brewed coffee was truly delightful. The passion and dedication of the farmers reflected in the exceptional quality of the coffee beans. A must-visit for coffee enthusiasts seeking a deeper understanding of their favorite brew's journey from farm to cup.

Did the basic coffee tour with Jonathan. Amazing experience. His English was excellent, he was funny and most importantly he was knowledgeable. We learnt a lot and really enjoyed ourselves.

You can buy tickets for the tour and the Willy ride from the booth in the main square. No need to pre book, just turn up and pay. Would advise going early to be in a smaller group for the tour. You'll probably have to wait a while to be taken back to Salento due to a lack of Willy's returning (we waited over an hour) so be mindful if you have things planned on the afternoon.

Very nice stay at El Ocaso.
We could feel rejuvenated in meeting with the other (young) guests from all the world.
The tour guide made our group super comfortable.
A must go in your visit of beautiful Colombia.

I’ve been here twice and I love it. The second time we walked there from Salento, then walked back in a loop ending up in Boquia. It was one of my favorite hikes ever, not to difficult but beautiful views and not many people. Really enjoy the coffee shop at Finca El Ocaso. A peaceful place to relax.

Absolutely delightful coffee finca tour. Our guide Daniela was knowledgeable, funny, and all around great. The coffee tasting and brewing tutorial was as complex as a wine tasting. Highly recommend, even if coffee is not your thing.

We took the coffee tour which was overall an amazing experience - from picking to the tasting - everything was well organized and explained in perfect english.
I suggest the tour later in the evening so you can experience beautiful sunset overlooking the Ocaso estate. Thank you!

We had a great coffee tour there (picking coffee, learning about coffee production, looking at the entire process). The tour guide did his tour in English and his English was really great which is not a given here.

You will need to take a Jeep from Salento to get there but they only cost 9000 COP for a round trip.

We were amazed by the location of the finca but the premium tour came to steal our hearts! Our host, Nicolas was super friendly and gave us all the information needed! Educative, fun and mostly enjoyable!

We just had the English speaking coffee tour (no overnight stay, so cannot rate that) three days ago with Antony. His English was excellent, very good french, lovely vibe and it was a cool experience. Coffee bean picking, learning and coffee preparing plus tasting. Would recommend it. Best regards from Germany ☕🙂

If you want a very peaceful place to stay, this is the place! It has an amazing view, quiet and lovely people work at the finca. We also did a one hout tour with Jonathan, he is a great guide who explained all the coffee process in a very engaging way!

The rooms are cozy and clean.

The tour of the coffee farm was awesome! Antoni was a really good guide, who spoke perfect English and good French! He explained everything very well and answered all our various questions. The visit was interactive and we had a lot of fun ! We could reach the farm by foot from Salento (1h to go and 1h15 to come back). The coffee was excellent. I highly recommend this experience.

This is a review of the coffee tour (the 90 minute one): Jonathan provided a wonderful tour. He answered all our questions with much knowledge and detail. The tour itself has a great format, from the coffee tree grove to roasting to drinking freshly brewed coffee. The Ocaso space is also a great place to chill with a coffee and watch the hummingbirds and stray dogs.

I can only speak for the coffee tour, but can fully recommend it. I did my tour with Antony and it was basically a private tour as I have been the only English speaking visitor. Nevertheless, Antony did very well, explained the process of coffee very interestingly and we had some good interaction with questions and answers. I have learnt a couple of hints for my own brewing skills and will apply them soon :)

So, well done overall! And the coffee is tasty 👍
