El Mirador del Cocora

The views from the hotel rooms are AMAZING. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel also has breakfast included, which is very delicious and starts at 7:30 AM. It’s important to keep the breakfast time in mind if you are planning to leave early for the Cocora Valley - we decided to skip breakfast on the day of our hike because it started too late for our plans.

The hotel is located at the top of a hill but it is very manageable. The entire town is hilly so these are impossible to avoid and shouldn’t factor into your decision. If you have accessibility issues or can’t walk up hills, I wouldn’t recommend Salento in general.

I do not recommend this hotel for kids or groups of friends. It feels more suitable for adults or couples.

Absolutely stunning views. Very helpful and kind staff. Room with the Jacuzzi was fantastic. Staff helped arrange a proposal surprise and it was fantastic. The hotel is on a hill, so be ready to climb, or secure other means of transportation.

What a nice cozy place to stay in. I will definitely recommend it. The view we had was Amazing!! Staff was lovely, helpful and attentive.

Loved our stay here! 10/10! We had a great view but I think even the rooms without the mountain view would be great because of all the seating areas (comfy chairs, benches, etc) both inside and out.
Breakfast also blew away our expectations as it was full service with a great fruit plate to start.

The absolute best view in all of Solento. The hotel is a "pay for what you get" kind of place--but that isn't a bad thing! The room was well appointed, and the staff was very helpful! Breakfast on the deck is spectacular and they accommodated out dietary needs as requested. Lovely stay!

Just make sure you like walking up hills to get here! :)

Great staff and perfect rest after long days on our feet. Hammocks are amazing- wish we had 2 on our balcony so me and my husband didn’t have to keep fighting for it:)

Wonderful hotel. We got the room with the view of the valley and a jacuzzi located on the balcony. No complaints as it's in the town but far from the hustle and bustle so relatively quiet (this is Latin America folks, so people party don't expect serene quiet anywhere in town). The walk to the center of town takes about 10-15 minutes and is down a hill going, but up hill coming down. They only serve breakfast but there are some restaurants a 5 minute walk away.

This is place is absolutely stunning! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the main square and we are so happy this is where we chose to stay. Great breakfast, amazing views of nature, cute hammocks. Luis was an amazing host while we were there, he answered all of our questions and spoke English which was really helpful since my Spanish is meh at best. Thank you Mirador Cocora for an amazing 3 nights. No cons, all positives.

One of my favorite hotels I've stayed at during my trip to Colombia! Firstly, the view of the valleys is beyond amazing. Having breakfast with that view every morning is something I won't forget. Also, the service was amazing. We were greeted very nicely, they gave us welcome drinks and coffee, and the staff spoke English very well. They had free coffee and tea all day on the patio and the breakfast had a very good selection of food. I would definitely stay here again if I were to go back to Salento!

Great views and very good service. A couple of the rooms are right on the edge of the valley with spectacular views. The 1st floor "view room" with a jacuzzi tub for 2 and private balcony is the best room in the house. The front desk can help arrange tours and are very efficient. Breakfast is included.

We got a mountain view room and it was breathtaking, amazing!! Very nice people, clean room, very cosy bed, super shower with lots of jets. Breakfast was typical Colombian: eggs, beans, rice, arepa, fruit, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate... At least on Sunday morning. We are coming back for sure!

Why on earth did I have only 2 nights at this magical place!? We booked two rooms here, one for me and my wife and one for my kids. My kids room, which was significantly cheaper, was pretty standard, nothing special but decent. Our room, which I think was #204, was AMAZING! The view was absolutely epic and we had a rub to soak in on the private veranda. What can I say other than this was like living in a dream for two days. I loved having breakfast overlooking the mountains and there's a really nice patio area with hammocks. Pure bliss. Luis, who grew up in the UK, was incredibly helpful and it was wonderful to have a FLUENT English speaker on staff. My only complaint is that the WIFI worked very poorly in our room but I bet this is the same at every hotel in Salento. I would not hesitate to stay here again and YES, do splurge to get a room with a VIEW here. It's worth it. One more caution-- it's up a steep hill so it is not suitable for those who are handicapped.

Great hotel with friendly staff, a delicious breakfast and an amazing view at the mountains, valley and birds. When rainy, you can borrow an umbrella. Would definitely recommend!

It isn't a 5 star hotel but due to how friendly the staff was, the view and that the rooms where wee taken care of, they earned 5 stars. I would suggest getting up at five and watch the sunrise. You won't regret it. 6 o' clock would already be too late tho.

We had a room with view on the mountains. Big room, nice shower, and good breakfast. For us one of the most romantic rooms but be aware that not al the rooms are the same. Some are very small and not so atractive.

Do you want to have traditional colombian breakfast while enjoying the best views in Salento? Book this place! Absolutely loved it.
