It is a magical please, the silence is incredible and the lagoon is a really spiritual spot.

Great place, not so far from Bogotá to make trekking, the entrance per person is 10.000 pesos there are 4 routes in total 2 level easy in about 1-2 hours, and other 2 level difficult in about 4-5 hours I highly recommend carrying extra shoes a warm jacket and a beanie.

It's a really amazing place to meet, to much nature, the path is perfect, you can go with kids without any problem, I went with my cousins (9 and 13) and they had a really great time, is not a difficult walk is not too hard, we enjoy the whole day there, you can have lunch there and is not too expensive, they also have parking lots which is amazing and is pet friendly, definitely a great place.

Very accessible from Bogotá, easy one bus there and back. It's a great day trip to check out the paramo. Super beautiful.

Matarredonda Ecological Park is a hidden gem near Bogotá. The park offers a variety of hiking trails with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The park staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they make sure the park is well-maintained. The park is also a great place for bird-watching, as there are many species to be found. Overall, a great place to spend a day outdoors and enjoy nature.

Nearby of the Capital, Bogota. Offer you three different track way to enjoy the nature, visit a lagoon, a waterfall and have contact with their species.
The staff at the entrance gave you all the information to consider on your visit and have a great typical breakfast plates to eat.

One of the 5 sacred lagoons. Absolutely worthy, 2 hours total hike. Keep protecting the paramos!!

Great hike to do by yourself, with friends or family. Bring raincoats and good waterproof hiking boots because it can get rainy and muddy.

Great place to hike, very accessible for gringos. You can easily reach this by public transport, from Transmilenio stops Tercer Milenio or Bicentenario you can catch a private minibus leaving every ~10 minutes heading towards Choachi. Ask the driver to drop you off at Matarredonda, this cost 4000COP. Entrance to the park 8000COP. The day I went it was quite foggy and the ground was totally wet, i was happy to have good shoes and wool socks. Rubber boots might have been nice but not 100% necessary, also trekking poles might have been nice
