Because of the ongoing reconstuctions the entrance fee was free, which is really a nice gesture. A lot of enthusiastic zoo workers told us interesting facts about the animals and recommended a route to visit. It's really a lovely programme. Free toilets and the funicular is also very close.

Free, fun activities with lots of animals (including native and extinct) to see and city views!!

Highly recommend! It took us about two hours to see everything. And luckily it was the time to feed many of the animals and we had some of the best zoo encounters in our lives! The zoo staff for instance, laid pieces of meat all over for Catacal to sniff and eat. It was super fun to see Catacal zooming around sniffing for food once it’s released from cage.

And there were the screaming Gibons, very cute… one of the giraffe was obsessed with the fence and kept munching on it … we saw lettuce eating Emus, and being petted like little dogs.

We couldn’t see the red panda (no longer there), and the tiger and Puma hid themselves the whole time.

I really like this place. There are a lot of animals and birds you can see here. The zoo is clean and the animals are happy. The entrance is free, but you have to reserve your tickets online before visit

Free entrance until November 2024 is a great bonus in itself, plus the stuff is very sweet and offers excellent attention. The inside of the zoo looks amazing, beautiful and very well taken care of, there are lots of different animals whose well-being is taken as the highest priority. All in all, a very pleasant experience, even though the zoo gets extremely crowded after midday.

Nice place. Funny muppet show, interesting for kids. Not a lot of animals but interesting and informative.
Have red panda 🐼!)
Recommend for family time.

Fun zoo. Good diversity of animals, and easy to get close to them. The zoo is on a pretty steep hill, but has a very manageable footprint - so walking around or pushing a stroller is a little bit of a workout, but not far. Saw everything with the attention span of a 3 year old and 6 year old in probably a little over an hour. Would only recommend to people able to walk up stairs. Mostly, there are ramps, but at least some are too steep for a wheelchair.

I loved the birds cage most. It is like the one in the second Jurassic Park movie:) Colorful birds flying all around the cage, different kinds of plants everywhere. You can also get a chance to see the tigers, and bears very close. I don't like animals put in cages, however this is a good opportunity to safely observe them in the real life. You can have your kids see most of the Lion King movie animals in real life.

It's a great zoo, but it's a bit confusing to walk. I suggest to examine the map and plan your walk. Also, it’s on a cliff, so it is a bit tiresome to walk if you’re not ready.

A very interesting zoo. It is on the side of a large hill. It's an uphill climb to see all the exhibits, some of which are up close and personal. An added bonus are spectacular views of the city!

Great zoo with a lot of animals. It was really sunny when we got there so most of the animals were either sleeping or hiding in the shade. We got to see them all at around 18:00 though so I would recommend going late in the afternoon to get to see all the animals.

Great place. Offers a great variety of animals, and they seem to be we’ll treated. I’ve spent about one hour to see it all. You can stop on your way up to the hill if you got the gondola.

Such a cool zoo. It is open on holidays and weekends. You can only pay cash at the entrance and the total cost I think was $4000 pesos. You need to bring local money for the entrance and the internal transportation. There are 2 ways of getting here: 1 by car (you can park at the front) or 2 by the zip line that comes from down the mountain.

You need to buy tickets online. It is worth the visit. There is some animals you don’t often seen. Such as the red panda and the Linx. There is also a entry to see the birds up close!

One of the natural place in Santiago with many animals to visit with your family. It is located in the Metropolitan Park (San Cristóbal hill), with easy access from public transportation. The only thing is this zoo has many trail with slopes, so it could be very hard for some people.
It is very recommended to visit if it happens to visit Santiago.
