An absolute must-see when you’re in Santiago. The perfect opportunity to buy delicious fruits. It’s a lot cheaper here than in the supermarket.

This market is full of locals all selling meat and vegetables. It's hectic and crowded with people always on the move. Overall, I felt pretty safe with moving through the crowds and there is security at certain spots throughout it. There is not as much food ready to eat as I thought, mainly raw meat and vegetables.

Easily one of my favorite places in Santiago. Amazing selection of fresh fruit and veggies (and there are butchers, fish mongers and dairy too if you want it) If you like to cook and are staying at a place with a kitchen, you won't want to miss this place. If not, it's still worth a visit to enjoy the lovely atmosphere, enjoy a typical Latin market experience and grab a fresh juice or a snack.

Huge market with anything you could be looking for! My favorite part was the Fruit & Veggie part of the market (accessible from Racoleta), but I went there again a week later and found out that that is only a tiny part of it! The deeper into the market you go, the more you find, including housewares, meat and fish, dried sundries, and so much more. Give yourself time to explore. There's no bartering, but you can ask for different quantities than posted (i.e. ask for 1/4 kilo of raspberries instead of having to buy a whole kilo). Take smaller bills, as small stall owners often have trouble rounding up change for large bills.

I buy vegetables and fruits only here, the choice is very large, prices are lower than in the supermarket. For example, 1 kilo bananas about 500 peso or 3 kilos for 1000 pesos 😁 and in the supermarket - about 1000 pesos for 1 kilo. In fact, in this market you can find everything.
but you always need to keep eye of your pockets and wallet, there are many robbers , be careful

What an amazing market. Please make sure you find the food area. The restaurants do the best food in town. Keep some 400 pesos for the toilet thou, not free. I enjoyed walking around the vegetable and meat stalls, the spices, and a good place to watch people go by. A must whilst visiting Santiago.

Best place in Santiago to buy fresh food and vegetables. It will take several trips to go through it all. Big and well stocked with inside parking if you want to pay. Prices are good and quality too.

Great spot to check out the local life of the city where everyone comes to get their local produce, meat & poultry, etc. Tons of food stalls serving up cooked foods at fantastic prices as well. Large space and not super crowded although the inside has many corridors so be sure to not get lost in the labyrinth. Lots of areas are covered which makes it a fantastic place to take refuge from the sun.

Local restaurant owners go buying their fruits here. It's very busy and cool to see. It's also not very touristic. Definitely recommended to go in the morning, because there's more going on and the good fresh fruit won't be sold out. The actual market is behind the first building, try to avoid the 'tourist catcher market'

Its a must for any foodie! Quite a different market than in other countries. Very down to earth, no fancy pancy stalls. People really come to do their shopping hete, carrying big trollers. I came with one of Stgo’s great chefs, noting where he buys what. I suggest to go to this market early, definitely before 10 am and follow someone who has a long list and buys a lot... don’t miss the nice coffee/lunch shops in the middle!

You can find anything here in the best prices!
Just come in the morning before 10AM at the exit gate near the parking lot to get the fresh fruits and vegetables in cheaper prices.
