The C Shop

Super fun candy store! Even if you're not on vacation, this great little shop makes you feel the spirit of summer! Vibrant and friendly, yummy treats for all- highly recommended. Unfortunately I can't speak for the cafe side of the business, I was too distracted by the hand made chocolates and circus popcorn. Satisfy your sweet tooth or pick up a treat for someone on your mind! Genuine Americana.

The C Shop sells ice cream, popcorn (buttered or cheesy), baked goods, and the most scrumptious candy, especially chocolate. And the people who run it are super nice, too.

They make their own chocolate and sweets. You can get prepackaged candy (for example, jelly beans or salt water taffy, etc.), or make a bag of your favorite flavors.

There are some tables where you can sit outside.

Really good place to stop for some ice cream or sweet treats on a trip to the beach.

Love the Peanut Butter Brownies. Amazing. I live in Birch Bay and am sad they are now closed for winter.

I love the step back in time feel. The employees are friendly the establishment is extremely clean. The food is great and candy even better. I recommend the C shop sandwich (pic included). I genuinely love coming here when we are on vacation.

Delightful cafe, that also makes chocolate treats, Ice cream, delicious baked cinnamon buns. The pizzas were terrific and substantial. Great place for lunch or just satisfying that craving for a yummy treat

I'd like to think our kids enjoyed our stay at Birch Bay State Park for the camping...but I have a feeling it was the candy and icecream here at the C Shop! 🤣

We made several visits and always had friendly service. We tried mostly candy made there in the store and it was tasty! They have some cute creations like clam and snail shaped treats.

Another cool thing is that you can paddle across the bay from the state park to get treats! The kids really enjoyed that trip! 😃

Love this family owned snack shop. We wait all winter for them to open in the spring for our shave ice, chocolate, and ice cream!! Amazing staff and favorite snack shop in whatcom county!!

Such a great selection of treats, great staff, and delicious chocolate! A great start or finish to your walk along the bay!

I thought for sure i had given a review for the C Shop before, but i have no problem doing another. I love coming here and i try to go at least once per summer. The dream bars are hands down the best. If you have trouble choosing pick a dream bar. And i get sno-kones for pure nostalgia. Used to get them as a kid at the C Shop every summer going back maybe 35 years. If you are in Birch Bay this is a MUST. If you are near Birch Bay you ahould think about planning a trip to go to the C Shop.

C Shop has delicious ice cream, there is also a candy store. It was a cute place to visit. There is also a restaurant. It is small but you can get everything from wraps to sandwiches or pizza. We got the pizza and it was large and tasty.

Positively a must-visit destination in Birch Bay. I dream about their Caramel Apples, and everything in the sales display case is a treat. They’ve been a special store for 52 years. Seasonally-open, so go whenever you can!

The C Shop is a remarkable landmark and is a VERY popular place for ice cream, candy, and a lot of divine creations that are all handmade on site. Snow cones, cinnamon rolls, hand dipped truffles...oh my! So much goodness under 1 roof.
I DO miss the food they had served in the "café" side for years. The location is great, just a few steps to the bay...the selections are stellar and the service is great! The owner is a phenomenal man that has been a pillar of our community for a long time. You're pretty much going to HAVE to go check it out if you're coming to my neighborhood!

Such a cute candy shop!! If you’re in the area definitely swing by. Besides an assortment of candy and chocolates they also have snow cones, ice cream and a penny press machine out front. Seating in front of store and around the side.

They have the best vanilla ice-cream. Also the only place I've been to locally, that has Black Cherry ice-cream. Superb, with lots of cherries. Reminds me when Thrifty Drugs had ice-cream stands in their stores, but better.
Honorable mention: Sticky Buns! Love them, but I'm restricted ...
Negative: Only open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. 😢

Oooohhhh this is my favorite candy/ice cream, sweet treat spot in the summer! I'm a out of stater and when I come to the PNW this is my 1st spot for a treat. Not only do they have a great view, but their sweets are devine! From fudge (my husband's fav) to the salt water taffy (my fav), and ice cream (my kiddos fav), there is something for everyone!!

A classic summertime experience, walking to the ice cream shop for a treat! Recently did so, ice cream was delicious. Service was good.

Haven't been there in years, went for ice cream last weekend glad to find out that they have the entire buliding now and the staff was great.

Birch bay classic. My family and I absolutely love the C Shop. There’s a wide assortment of chocolate, candy and baked goods. I’d recommend the snickerdoodle cookie! 10/10, I would recommend it to anyone. The prices are higher compared to the average of some of the products, but only because they make it fresh in store, and much much better quality. Definitely worth what it costs, and some things seem like they should be more expensive for how good they are!

Love, love love everything about this place. Ice cream options to die for, candies and fudge, shaved ices as well all in an adorable building with tons of character.
