We went there to buy vegetables and plantain and the place has so many vegetables and so many varieties. Popular amongst people of different walks of life. Incredibly nice. It's just that today there is construction going on in front of the food shop and that makes it awkward with all the noise and disorganization

A great place to buy fresh vegetables and daily groceries at an affordable price. Every weekend they reduce prices, I would suggest going there on weekends.

We can find most of the fresh produce best deals at the food basics. There are other best deals in meat and other products time to time…

Each time I visit food basic I'm fortunate to have a cashier named spicy cash me out. She's a very pleasant and friendly,helpful young lady and she sings very well too..😘

Finally needed groceries for my apartment but still have mice in my apartment for three years now I have too get rid of them on my own because sudbury housing don't want too after I've told them about the mice problem on top of that I have not brought food in my fridge since and now that have groceries home here the mice are back again

Great prices on dried goods, but I don't like the meat, it's cut very sloppy and the fruit is over-ripe. But I still shop here..one black lady is a cashier, she is very ignorant and stern, no smile. Just shoves the groceries down the belt.

Was shopping today after work with my 8 month pregnant wife and she sat on the floor exhausted and a very kind soul Mike stopped what he was doing to check on her. He went out of his way to get her a wheel chair to make her more comfortable during our shopping here. I am beyond impressed with this kind action and Mike if you're reading this THANK YOU !

My go to place for home eats. Best deals in town on food. Great place. I saw Jesus shopping there once. Had a cart filled with Vaseline and tampons. Not sure what he had planned.

Great flyer deals weekly clean and we'll stocked store staff are generally friendly and efficient. There are two girls who are marvelous. ..always friendly helpful and genuinely nice girls wishing you are good day and asking how you are...making sure not to sell you the broken eggs or the squished fruit. They don't slam and bruise your produce or bowl it down the checkout for you to bag. Often the selectively place gentle items like bread and eggs at the end to avoid such careless abuse to the products they are working to sell and I have worked hard to afford to buy!! Wish I knew their names they should get recognition. ..perhaps a raise!!

Food Basics is a cheap place to buy your meat it is the cheapest the best for that I worked in the meat department so I know their policy and I want to know it's still right in front of the manager and have casalinga was and this and that Italian sausage is coming on to me and I know they can't stop you so now they have floorwalkers they're called anyways go ahead to shoplift and get probation keep stealing till your 50 and get 9 months for chocolate bar sup to you I'm not a violent guy but I do shoplift just kidding

It's best to shop early in the morning. Less crowd that way and faster shopping.
All aisles neat and easy to find what you're looking for. If you can't find what you need staff is more than happy to help guide you to where it may be.
