This is my favorite liquor store in Victoria. Large cold section of beer, wine, ciders, bubbly, and others. Always good sales on that usually last for a month. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful - just ask them! Don't be shy. Parking can be busy at times but excellent in off times.

I've travelled far and wide and not often do you come across such a fantastic wine selection. Plus, the wine recommendations from the consultants (that are featured and reviewed) are constantly blowing my mind; My wife and I have enjoyed countless bottles of some really tasty stuff that we wouldn't have gravitated towards without them being featured wines. This location typically has some very decent sales and I appreciate the expertise of the staff. All around, this is probably one of my favourite liquor stores.

I've always enjoyed going into this location for my alcohol purchasing needs. It's a small store but the service is always great. The folks on the floor are helpful and the folks who work cash as super friendly. It's all about customer service and they do it well!

This is one of the best wine and liquor stores I have ever been in. Staff are so friendly and helpful. It's like they are all Somaliers! Great recommendations and always on the mark. They truly care and will suggest a low priced wine over and expensive one if they think it is good. Love this store!

It's a Signature Store, so that means an expanded selection, esp for wines. Certified wine expert is almost always available. Very good hours and open every day of the week. Friendly staff who are happy to help you find what you'd like without up-selling you. Weekly sales and discounted wines that punch well above their weight for the price.
Good selection of spirits and beers. Less so for ciders, particularly if you want authentic local ciders-- I'd go to Vessel Liquors for that (1609 Fort St).
One of only a few liquor stores in Victoria that feature (and negotiate special low prices on) the yearly Bordeaux Release (come early or you'll miss out!), and lower-profile yearly releases of things like high-end Spirits or Beaujolais Nouveau (yum!).
My go-to place for wine (both celebratory vintages and everyday table wine).
Recommended.

Standard liquor outlet with lots of beer, wine spirits. Service is always excellent and helpful. They are especially awesome when ordering a large number of items for special events a couple days ahead of time, have your SKUs ready to speed up the process and they'll add what you need cold to the freezer until pickup. No hassle returns for what you don't sell at any outlet.

I came here last weekend with my friends, I was looking for a sprinkling sake but they don't have it in the store. A friendly staff was trying to help me and he asked his manager to help out. The store manager was super friendly, he helped me to check the most convenient location that close to where I stay and called in the other location and make sure they put it on hold for me.
Thank you so much.

The Fort and Foul Bay store is the best for wine among Victoria’s BC Liquor stores. They have a lot of affordable bottles, and your shopping is somewhat made easier by staff picks, magazine reviews, etc. posted alongside specific bottles and shelves. The bottles by the wall are the pricier premium wines, and if you know your stuff there is a wealth of choices available from all parts of the world (though there is probably a heavier slant towards France and Italy). The store doesn’t have knowledgeable staff on the floor at all times (few BC Liquor stores do) but if you luck out, you will get very good advice on wines you would likely have overlooked.

I have been in a number of different BCLS looking for wine. ALL staff really provided good information and were very knowledgeable about the products they carry. Overall a very positive experience every time. Now my go to place for wine.

Staff went above and beyond to help me find the specific bottle of rum I was in search of. The cashier was so friendly and helpful. I will be visiting this liquor store for their amazing customer service again!

Employees friendly...and some very entertaining. Prices are good. Layout is good. Nice variety of products. Easy access off Blanchard...south bound.

I'm a partisan of free enterprise, but government run liquor stores are really great. Lots of choices, "better" prices relatively speaking. In WA they abolished the state run system and alcohol became more expensive. To be expected because "for profit" corporations maximize profit, and "competition" disappears with consolidation.

Google asking me to review the government liquor store makes me question some life choices. That being said they have friendly knowledgeable staff that don't judge when you buy your weekly monday night wine.

So appreciate the wonderful selection of reasonably priced, good quality wines. Phenomenal deals and helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Always my choice!

Roger at the forestry store was very helpful! They were out of stock of the product I was looking for so he called another store to see if they had any and ask them to hold it for me.

So I walk in all sweaty just after a killer wo (workout) at the OBRC (Oak Bay Recreational Centre) and they just do not give a d**n. I looked practically homeless and was tripping from the bloodloss. I am glad I did not knock over any bottles and I am sure they are too. After buying my boooze I cracked one open with the boys right there. Cashier, Dan I think his name was, said my next 6 was on the house and that's when I picked up another coors light and headed out the door with my girlfirend and her two kids.
Would rate more stars if i could, highly special place, with cool guy Dan.
