The Snug Pub

We enjoyed a pleasant pub lunch at this well-located pub in a hotel. The food was good. I would recommend the fish and chips. They were to the standard from back in England. I had to ask for tartar sauce, which should come with the meal. The mushy peas were a pleasant surprise and tasty.
The service was a little slow, but the food was worth it.
The chicken burger and parmasen fries were flavourful, too.
We got a table overlooking the water, which made the experience special.
I would definitely visit again.

Great service with beautiful views. A convenient spot to visit when staying at the resort. Menu is fairly limited but still enough to choose from (pub fare) and keep in mind there’s not a lot of gluten friendly options. They had a delicious soup of the day when we were there.

Our server was warm and seemed happy to be serving. We came around 9:20 (they close at 10) and there wasn’t any sign of them being inconvenienced by us coming later, or rushing us to order.

Calamari was nice and the batter wasn’t too dense. Generous portion of nachos. The Caesar salad was also quite nice.

Only complaint is how sweet the cocktails were even after we asked for a small amount of sweetness. We weren’t able to finish them. It would be nice to offer ones on the menu that aren’t heavy with sugar and syrups.

Absolutely wonderful place! We liked our experience so much we went back for a second night. Our server Lauren did a fabulous job, the food was absolutely amazing - fresh and such quick service. Make sure you sit outside, the views from the patio are stunning.

Food was good, fries unexpectedly salty but not too much so. The service was what really made this place great, we had a waitress who was on her second day of the job and she was excellent! Very polite and professional. They accommodate for food allergies and were very attentive to requests from our table. The card machine had issues when we were paying and the waitress handled it very well and helped us figure it out.

We sat on the patio for dinner during our stay at the oak bay beach hotel and the views were impressive. We got the spicy nachos -which were not spicy at all and the clam chowder which was delicious! We got to watch the sunset and the moon rise all from our table on the patio. Beautiful view of the bay and you could even see mount baker! Would recommend!

Snug Pub is located inside the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. We stopped for a little dessert and cocktails after exploring Victoria.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, with picturesque views of the water and mountains.
If you get there after “busy” hours it’s easier to walk in and snag a spot outside.
The service was excellent! Ordered a creme brûlée to share, and a lemon drop and hot toddy.
As the evening got cooler, they offered to turn the heat lamp on and brought out blankets.
Next time, dinner.

Delicious food with a stunning view. The Snug Pub is a fantastic place to eat, relax, and laugh with friends. You most definitely get what you paid for and the service is wonderful. It is a very comfortable place with booth seats and nice chairs. I would highly recommend getting the Truffle Fries.

Had an amazing time with my wife. Nice place to have a bite and a drink while staying at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.

Had a really excellent experience at The Snug Pub. I didn’t have high expectations for this pub within the hotel but it honestly delivered!

I had the chicken and risotto main course. Chicken was tender, nicely seared. All the flavours were comforting and spot on.

Service was friendly and genuine. The views are beautiful from the restaurant during the day but dark in the evening so you can’t see the ocean at that point.

Cocktails also exceeded expectations. Appreciate the use of local distilleries. Thanks for the lovely meal and drinks, will be back!

The food in restaurant is decent and tasting really good. Service here is very good and considerable. The staffs try to make you feel as at home😄. It helps us refreshed and recharged from long trip. Highly recommend! 🥳

Nolan was amazing lead server and he knew his product really well, very knowledgable, and very entertaining. The food was so amazing fresh and delicious and good quality!

Had a wonderful time! From the moment we entered the hotel, we experienced a warm welcome by all of the staff. Would recommend going at noon and it starts to get busy after. Beautiful patio overlooking the water & pool.
The bartender Ilker made our experience very special. Great place! We will be back!

our server was fantastic, she was happy, attentive and fast, explained the specials and always checked on us and our table. the service with a smile was spectacular, the drinks are strong, the food is great and the staff is marvelous.

Its got amazing veggie burger . Its one of the oldest nierbourhood pubs and has a nice views . Yup they got outside patio with heaters

This is the place you come to unwind and relax; they really make you feel like you to deserve to be here! The customer service here is second to none, they cater to your every need. The food and drink offerings from Faro and The Snug are top notch to where you don't even have to leave if you want to keep to the property for you entire stay. Congrats to Oak Bay Beach Resort staff for our amazing honeymoon stay, hopefully we'll be back yearly for our anniversary. Thank you

Great pub fares in a magical setting that is the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. Sit on the patio and enjoy the gorgeous view of the Juan de Fuca Strait and sip a glass of sparkling wine with their gluten-free wings and truffle chips. The rock fish on the menu is a great light meal, or for a more heavy meal, try one of their burgers with yam fries.

We came in and had a late night drink in April. What I ordered was a red sangria… which was not on their menu at all.

The bartender offered to make it anyway, to my surprise. This man made a drink that was PERFECTLY balanced in every sense… it was hands down the best one I have ever had. I had to tell him this of course, in which he stated that he doesn’t drink him self and thought that this would be a perfect combination.

I have no idea how he made a drink so phenomenal when he doesn’t know how they would pair personally. But, I am certainly glad he tried! He is a true master of his craft. You sir deserve a raise!
