Not sure if the reviewer named M will see this, but what a disrespectful review when you write it is not the store clerk's job to listen to the elderly's life story. It actually is the job of the clerk to be personable and it sounds like there are still some Canadians working there that have that Canadian friendly neighbourly way about them. I'm sure the clerk was helping with bags or scanning things at the same time as chatting, and if the conversation went over for 20 seconds, so it wasn't just rudely cut off, that is good. You make the clerk sound good with that story. Use the self checkouts if you do not like humanity and human interaction. And if a loved one passes away or you find yourself alone and a 1 min chat while your groceries are being scanned would keep you sane or brighten your day, remember your ignorant comment here.

My favorite Save on Foods spot. The store is clean, and finding anything is so easy. It is located in a strategic location and has easy access to parking.

Maria was working alone at the Starbucks counter located in Save On. The line was long, the patience of shoppers was questionable. Maria continued to be kind and smile, and she didn’t show any frustration. She tried to keep everybody happy. She is an outstanding employee.

Wow the review from a couple months ago below is delusional. The claim is because staff required certain verification with a credit card it must be racism? And you're assuming you know the whole story of the other customers, if the back of their credit card was signed or not or if they have been coming in to the store for decades and known to staff, or if the card they used belonged to them as opposed to your husband using your card? And don't use the term white. Describe the people. Did they appear of English background, Scottish? So you mean Canadian? The locals of White Rock, those who are native to English Canada? So two Canadians? The staff has changed a lot, and so have the customers, at this Save Ons in recent years where it's a lot of foreigners now and some apparently like to cause racism issues like the self described Asian lady who reviewed below. A lot of staff from India now. They have different manners than Canadians. Unjust what has been done to our little White Rock and South Surrey.

Been going here for 2 years now using the pharmacy for my medication 💊 and shopping experience for me it's worth the time and money

Tupiical safe and food nice complete and cozy n clean and they open earlier than most supermarket

This place has lots of organic veggies, like fresh turmeric, rutabaga. These not easy to find in Vancouver. Located in very nice area. Store set up a working stations where you can work with laptop and few table to have snack. Very cool.

The location is an advantage if you live in uptown White Rock or if you don't want to venture further away from the core of the city, Save-On has everything you need. From Save-On to PriceSmart back to Save-On, the good services and quality of products never changed. We love the great selection of baked goods and pastries and the prices are reasonable, too.

My main store. All is good since I ever went there for the first time! And now I am more happy since someone strange !!!! By her choice seems to be gone ) she never liked me!!! Her lost lololol but I sure missed that older gentleman that loved her job in charge of vegetables and fruits he loved to chat and tell you how important was to eat vegetables!! I miss him so bad I wonder is he alright?? I hope so!! Thnk you my friend fir your time at Save-On-Foods

The wine display was awsome .. attracted costumers & created a positive atmosphere to work in as their wine taster/promoter .. Staff were enthusiastic & helpful 🍷🍇👍

They sell a good variety of everything you need for grocery including specialty food items catered to different dietary needs. There’s also a pharmacy inside, wine store, Starbucks, and they sell fresh flowers for any gifting needs. So convenient and pleasant place to do your shopping

Fresh vegetables and fresh fruits friendly atmosphere customer service is always really nice and easy to get ur questions answered everytime

I have never in my life written a review for a grocery store. But I had the best experience when I was at checkout with Lauren. She was quick and efficient and even checked my eggs and taped them up so she they wouldn’t break. The store itself is quite good but Lauren made my experience perfect. Thank you!

Thank you to the extremely kind manager Suki and the kind staff who allowed me to come in and get a few groceries with my Dog Rosie!!! I wouldn’t have been able to get groceries if she couldn’t have come in with me... so thank you so much!!!

Gwen in the pharmacy is quite possibly one of the best pharmacists I have ever interacted with. She is amazing and caring and cares about customer health. She is a great asset to the team. Thanks Gwen for all your work

It's a grocery store what can I say about a grocery store except that it is big and they have a lot of goodies.

Largest Save On Foods I have been to. Lots of international foods. I have never seen California Rolls in Save On Foods but the sushi served here are shockingly good quality. Filling is super stuffed and the rice layer is thin. They have a large sweets section and they have really tasty looking desserts such as eclair’s, cheesecake with fresh cream on top, matcha desserts and tiramisu. There is a variety of marinated meats and a lot of them you can find a lot of barbecue skewers. If you come during dinner time there is barely any people at all. Only problem is I hate peanuts and the nut section smells so strong. It just smells like pure peanuts.

Friendly staff that you can recognize from years of working there and helping

The Manager at Save-on Semiahmoo and the staff at the Bakery Department are amazing! I went into the store to order my 101 year old mother a cake and they said that it was such a wonderful milestone that they donated the cake for her party. The cake was delicious and I was taken by surprise by such wonderful generosity and hospitality. Thank you. I have told everyone what a great place your store is to shop.
