EDIT: I want to edit my review to say I’ve been bringing lots of friends here to eat and they all love it too. Cleo’s is still the best place in the valley to eat!

Veg falafel plate is next level. Awesome service will make this a regular stop when I am through town.

VERY VERY GOOD! unique food and so delicious we couldn’t stop eating. The owner was so nice, he brought us extra bread and water, he sat with us and talked about his adventures. His place is is full of art on the walls even the bathroom. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Penticton.

Legit, true, authentic Turkish/Middle Eastern fare.
Fast, fresh and furious.
Sure...I love all food, even mediocre dishes...but Owlbear Foxbeard is a retired red seal chef, and needless to say, hard to impress. Aside from 2 other places in town, he has stated he will not eat anywhere else but here.
This place is a hidden gem in our little town of Penticton, and by far one of the MOST genuine, flavourful places l have been to in my life. (And believe me, we've travelled and eaten our way through many countries across the globe). Even our own Vancouver venues haven't matched the caliber of this restaurant, so far.
The personal, intimate service is just one of the perks to rave about, but that's only a bonus aside from the insanely incredible food. You cant expect much less from a family run joint.
Being a kitchen brat my entire life since age 5 (playing and working in commercial kitchens since kindergarten while my parents worked 8 days a week, 25 hours a day), I understand the struggle of blue collar people trying to make a living by doing something they love, and are good at!
And it's not easy if you didn't luck out by buying into some franchise.
So...we need to spread the word and push people to these little gems.
Because marketing and conventional advertising is f@¢k!ng expensive for these little businesses!!!!!!!!!!!
Whether you're vegetarian or a meat eater, they have lamb, falafel, chicken, etc....
The hummus is like nothing you've tried before, and their olives???????? WHAT.
I don't know where they get them from, or if they marinate them in house with some magical spicy black licorice flavoured concoction, but I'll tell you right now, you will NOT taste olives like these anywhere in this province.

I could go on, but no need, especially as I'm not qualified food critic. I just like to eat tasty stuff, and I know what sucks and what doesn't.
Just try it out, patio or takeout. You will NOT regret it.

Probably the best donair platter we had in Canada. Loved this place and the passionate chef! Food is just fantastic and full of flavour. Platters are huge quantity. The lamb was very unique made as a curry base. The chicken in the donair was fresh, soft and juicy. Not dry and chewy as most places. Would go back again and again.

What a delightful surprise to find traditional Turkish coffee served the right way here in Summerland! This little place is a gem! Food is made with love and served with pride. The prices are very reasonable too. I had their lamb done wrap and the Turkish coffee for $17.90 ($21.33 with tax and tips). The lady chef has the warmest and brightest smile that melt my heart.

Delicious donair meat, excellent moist falafel with a crispy coating and the creamiest chickpeas! The pita was dry but the hummus and tzatziki were very good. The interior and exterior are both in the process of much needed renovations but comfortable outdoor patio furniture made for a comfortable road side meal. Sociable, friendly and accommodating service. Definitely a new favourite!

We stopped in for lunch and got the beef donair, lamb donair and Turkish salad to go. Absolutely delicious. Food of the gods. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

I tried the chicken and lamb platter after a long day of walking. I was really impressed and it really hit the spot! The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the owner let my dog sit with us on the patio! Even gave her a little doggie bad of meat! Very lovely place, lovely people, if you’re in summerland you must try this place!

Updated October 2022 - old owner and restaurant is back!!!! Amazing food!!! Disregard any low rating below, as there was some issues with another restaurant/owner for about a year, which is now all fixed. The falafels are the best I have had, warm and welcoming service, great prices and the food is exactly what the okanagan is missing! Thank you folks for all you do! 10/10

If you like a hearty meal of beautifully arranged spices then this is the must go of the Okanagan! The owner is funny and there’s always a sense of kindness the food he makes. Ignore the bad reviews and come see for yourself. The food is plenty flavourful and their portions are great! They also have an adorable patio :)

The food here is absolutely delicious! If I lived closer I'd be eating every day and probably could it being so affordable. I definitely recommend you try this place as it is very unique compared to most places around.

Wow. The best falafels I've ever had! My mom and I got the falafel plate and it came with SO much food. The hummus and garlic sauce were amazing too. Everything was beyond our expectations, so happy to have found our new go to spot for falafels!!

Definitely the best food in Town, and the 2 owners are just super friendly and caring.
Me and my family go to Penticton once a year and every time we are around we come here for dinner.

What a Gem. This place is absolutely amazing. The food had so much flavour and the wrap was so stuffed it was hard to keep everything in. The lady who works the counter was such delight and just wonderful. My daughter in law has a sesame allergy and we forgot to ask if they use sesame so when she bit into her wrap she instantly had a reaction. The wonderful lady made her another wrap at no charge but she was unable to eat as we needed to bring her to the hospital. I love this place and the atmosphere and will definitely be going again.

What a lovely place and people. Loved their falafel wrap, finger licking good…. The best I’ve ever had. The owner was just amazing. My only place to go for food when I’m in Summerland again.

The food was absolutely amazing, not only was the portion size huge but everything was cooked fresh while we were there. The owner was the one who took our order and served us and he has a true passion for what he does. His is truly very kind and welcoming. The ambience of the restaurant was also really interesting. There are many different pieces of decor and paintings that were so intriguing to look at. The way the restaurant is organized transports you to the streets of Turkey or Egypt. The placement of decor, tables arrangement and music all seems very authentic. Truly was an amazing experience and definitely worth visiting!
