Dream getaway. Well priced. The view from our private deck was breathtaking and the room was clean and very comfortable. The pool was a perfect temperature and the hot tub and sauna were great for relaxation. We enjoyed a walk around the water and delighted in the restaurant on site with friendly, efficient workers and a variety of delicious food. (Lamb burger). Highly recommended and I look forward to my next visit.

This was our first visit to Mayne Island and we stayed at the Mayne Island resort. I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the place was. It was much more modern than I expected considering that it is over 100 years old. You can still see the history in it but the owners have really updated it. Bennett bay is quite spectacular and I look forward to coming back when I can get out on the water and experience the ocean more. All and all it was a great time and we will be back.

This is my new happy place! The room was clean, and the bed was sooo comfortable! I loved being able to sit on the balcony and see and smell the ocean from my room. The owners and staff were all incredibly friendly, thoughtful, kind and welcomed me by name. The owners were quick to respond and provide solutions to any questions I had in advance of the trip. They took away any worries I had and went above and beyond to ensure I had the best stay. I really hope I get the chance to go back, it's absolutely breathtaking!

What a beautiful spot to relax and get away from the craziness of the Lower Mainland! I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. We were only there for 1 night, but I felt like we'd had a week's reprieve from the chaos of regular life.

The resort is steps away from the premier put in spot for kayaking the south Salish Sea. The hotel at the resort is over 100 years old. Rooms are quaint. But the French doors onto an amazing view of the Gulf Island Marine Reserve. Ferry to the island can be an exercise in patience. Nice people, great location. B+ to A-.

Greatest service! Murray really helped us out with anything we needed. He drove ten minutes in the snow to open up the games room for us. The pool and spa is very nice and well kept. The gym is also really good. The room was well cleaned and we had a gorgeous view. The bistro food was amazing and everything was very accessible. Wifi was good there weren’t any issues. TV had Netflix so that was a plus. Overall this place was amazing!

Beautiful resort. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. It was clean and spacious with a small kitchen that had all the necessary appliances, crockery and kitchen items. Take breakfast and lunch items as there were not a lot of places to eat. The hotel has a restaurant wete we had dinner once. Great view of Bennett Bay from our upstairs villa. We did a hike nearby and several around the island.

We had a great experience staying in a Beach Cottage at the resort. The small space did well for our family of two adults and two kids. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, easy access to the island, and the setting was, of course the highlight. Ocean views to enjoy all day were unbeatable! We did try the pool and found the hot tub was too hot to enjoy.

Lovely resort for a weekend get away, with beach & restaurant on site! Staff were super friendly & helpful. We were thankful to check-in a couple hours early on a really hot day. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Will hopefully be back soon & would certainly recommend to any one looking for a relaxing time away from the city!

Our family would like to thank the Mayne Island Resort and their fantastic staff. We had (six of us) arrived on Mayne late one night over the Christmas Holiday and our original accommodation plans had fallen through. We stopped at the Mayne Inn and Dave was the most welcoming person we had ever met. He brought us in out of the windy, cold, winter storm and found us a room. The room was absolutely wonderful, a huge master bedroom and fantastic fireplace were just what we needed. Our late night arrival and check in let us get some extra sleep in the morning, but what we woke up to was the most beautiful view in the Gulf Islands that you could ever see. Over looking Bennett Bay on a cold crisp morning we were so thankful that we had found the Mayne Island Resort. To Linda, at the front desk, and all the other staff who helped us get our truck going in the morning, we want to Thank You for making what could have been a holiday to forget to a holiday that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

We stayed in one of the ocean front cottages. It was our first time visiting the island and we absolutely loved it! We arrived much earlier than check in as we caught the early ferry. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us an early check in which was fantastic for us. The cottage had everything that you need and was very nice and clean. The view was absolutely spectacular and we loved that both the living room doors and bedroom doors opened right up so that you could enjoy the view inside with nice fresh air. We enjoyed playing some games in the games room and swimming in the pool/hot tub every night. Kayaking is a must - it was such a great time. We enjoyed dinner at the Bistro on the patio with the beautiful view. We plan to make this place an annual trip and can't wait to return!

We had a great weekend here- the shuttle picked us up from the ferry and took us right to the resort. The service in the bistro was great. The rooms are small, but that contributes to the charm of this resort that was originally built in the early 1900s. We got to relax, have a little picnic, go for a bike ride, and utilized the pool and hot tub and games room.
It's not fancy, but it's the perfect low key weekend getaway and I want to go back!

This was love hotel with biggish small rooms which seem like ordinary size rooms. This resorts has house which seem like funny idea to rent or own. The pool was nice. The views where amazing from the rooms. The only thing that would change about is renting kayaks and paddle boards they should be some employees who you can rent them funny and to see if safe to go in afternoon if it bad weather or wind in morning and afternoon is better. Also they should be someone there who can deal with everyday of week because it be cool to do and funny.

Excellent get away for larger family or a couple that wants to get away. The villa and cottages are newly renovated and super clean. Great water front views and the restaurant has great food options. Try the nachos with the deep fried chips. Access to easy trails and water activities. Staff are super nice.

My partner and I spent a few days here and had an amazing and peaceful time. The resort offers a shuttle service from the ferry for $5 per person each way, and we were greeted by Murray, one of the owners (he's kind, warm, and incredibly helpful), who met us with the vehicle not even a minute off the ferry. The rooms are cozy, over 100 years old, and feel warm and homey, perfect for a few days away and accompanied by a beautiful view of Bennett Bay. We didn't use the pool, but the resort has a games room with a pool table, shuffleboard, and table tennis, along with a big screen tv and various puzzles and board games. We spent a lot of our time laughing over games of pool and table tennis.
We had a few meals and Bennett Bay Bistro and were never disappointed, everything we had was absolutely delicious. Lots of variety, as well as vegan and vegetarian options, and local beer from Mayne Island Brewing.
Electric bikes are available from the Home Hardware a 20 min walk away, $50 for 24 hrs and were a really fun way to explore the island and get to some little grocery stores. Definitely check out Farm Gate Store for some good snacks.
Thanks to Murray and the rest of the staff for making our 3rd anniversary so special and fun. We can't wait to be back!

Our stay at the Mayne Island Resort was wonderful. We woke up each morning in our cozy waterfront cottage listening to beautiful bird songs and being warmed by the rising sun. The view of Bennett Bay and surrounding islands was stunning. We fully enjoyed the games room, swimming pool and hot tub and delicious food at the Bennett Bay Bistro. We hiked many beautiful trails, rode bikes around the island, and kayaked with the seals. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to return.

The Mayne Island Resort is by far the friendliest place I have stayed. Every single person was polite and helpful. The resort is located in Bennett Bay on Mayne Island. The original building is 100 years old and the cabins that have been built as additions are unique and pretty. The food was beyond my expectations with the specials a great deal and very tasty. The resort is very clean and close to groceries and an amazing bakery. The pool is warm and fun with jets. Hot Tub and steam Sauna was heavenly looking out to the ocean. I fully recommend Mayne Island Resort as a personal favorite.

A few things I forgot to mention, they are very eco-aware and trying harder to achieve their goal of no plastic going through the restaurant and the rest of the resort as well. They have even gotten rid of the little plastic bottles with shampoo, conditioner and body soap and put it into re-fallible dispenser on the wall in the shower. The bed in the room I was in was so comfortable and waking up with the beautiful ocean outside my room. koodos great Island experience, Thanks
