The Waterfront Gastropub

Went for lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. Staff was super friendly, food was amazing and decently priced and the view and building was gorgeous. Definitely worth the trip from Ottawa.

Nice gem in Carleton Place, available tables for a Sunday lunch without booking in advance. Good prices, good food and friendly staff. Will come back to try different options (breakfast maybe) and enjoy the patio with nice view of the river

Beautiful location over looking the water in a quiet and serene place. Excellent fish and chips. Large portion accompanied by home made fries… reminiscent of a chip truck! Deanne, our server was wonderful. Attentive and kind. Always pleasant and smiling. The patio is highly recommended…

The breakfast was fantastic 10 out 10, very tasty, and the service was impeccable. Kudos to the owner for having such impressive staff 👏 you make "going out" worth it. I love good food and good service. 👍 keep up the good work.

Great Lil' find in the heart of Carelton place. Waterfront scenery was excellent. Food was exceptional and reasonably priced. I had a "killer poutine" with the works on it. Staff was polite, fun and spot on getting er done. Looking forward to coming back this summer.

Delicious Food with an amazing view !!

Place was super clean , great patio , amazing service , waitress recommended the fish and it was DELICIOUS !!

Started off with some drink , then got our mains , Fish and ships fisherman’s platter Buffalo chicken wrap and club wrap !!

Highly recommend this place , worth the drive, will definitely be back !

Decided to drive into Carleton place for lunch and so glad we did. We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. Waitress was so pleasant and recommended a few items when I asked what’s popular… I chose the beef dip. Huge portion. Fries were awesome too. Such a nice view. Didn’t even feel like I was in Ontario! Will definitely return.

Free parking too!

We went for a late lunch here, and enjoyed it except for one small thing.

My wife ordered the fish and chips. She said the fish was very good. The "chips" were homemade, and as good as or better than any chip wagon.

I ordered the chicken fingers, though something else was brought by mistake. I immediately pointed out that I had ordered chicken fingers, and waitress took away the plat apologizing. She came back and apologized again, and offered me my beer for free. Well played! Only issue was the correct plate then came out way too fast. I'm guessing they rushed it to fix the issue as quickly as possible, but it was too quick. Some of the chicken was not well cooked, and quite pink inside. The fries were also not well cooked inside. Too bad, because my wife's fries were among the best I've had. (I ate what I could of mine, then some of hers!).

The pub is in a perfect location on the side of the river, and a perfect place to spend a warm afternoon. They have a good selection of beers too.

I won't hold that issue against them, as they tried to solve the issue quickly. The service was excellent, and the error was well-handled otherwise. We'll go back - but if there's a mistake, I will certainly ask them to take their time rectifying it!

Well what a beautiful view of the new bridge across the Mississippi River. And when lit, it is awesome.

A friend and I were in Carleton Place tonight and went to this amazing pub!! Not only was the food amazing BUT the atmosphere was so cozy and the STAFF were so friendly and welcoming! I would highly recommend the place to anyone and look forward to returning soon! Thank you so much!

This was great experience for me. Their kitchen closes at 10 pm, last order at 9:45 pm. I was driving to Ottawa from Toronto and would be there only at 10:30 pm. Sharon kindly agreed to place an order over the phone, so it would be waiting for me when I arrive. And the Fisherman's Platter was great and delicious. Thank you!

Edit: been back a few times since, and they have capable staff in the kitchen now. Food is good, staff is as pleasant as ever. Best place to have lunch in the Summer.

Nice location, good service, appealing presentation on the food. They know how to do it, but the kitchen did a terrible job.

Local Braumeister on tap was nice. Started with calamari, which was cooked through like potato chips, and had no flavor. The burger was bone dry. Fries were great, but they were kind enough to refund my main dish.

This place has such a cool vibe, it's ambiance reeks of history, it's spiral metal staircase solidifies that you are in a building that has stood the test of time. You look out over the water and eat delicious food and just thank your lucky stars that you get to dine in a tribute to old Ottawa (surrounding area)'s finest establishment. That French dip is so good.

Had a wonderful lunch here with my wife the other day. Fantastic service, and great food. My wife had the fish and chips, and I had the cheeseburger with fries.

Great location and fantastic food. Specifically recommend fish and chips, definitely the best in the area. Service is very friendly and fast.
Definitely recommend this place for mid- day lunch or evening food and drink.
On the separate note, there is a large parking space right in front of the place.
Patio sitting in gorgeous, but filling in fast, you might want to call to reserve the spot right next to the river.

Gorgeous views while dining - I really enjoyed their nachos and drink menu.

Great place on the Mississippi River in Carleton Place across from the old Town Hall Building. Live music, terrific chicken wings, burgers, fish tacos, caesar salads and more grace this place. Service is prompt and efficient, and the atmosphere warming and fun. Highly recommended.
