Stephanie Cote is amazing. We chose her being a 30 minute drive each way from our house over the vet around the corner because the care and service is unparalleled. Stephanie genuinely cares about doing the right thing for your pet, she’s never in a rush and will spend whatever time it takes for you to fully understand the current situation and feel comfortable with the gameplan. I have 2 old boys and she is so great with them, she interacts with them and loves other instead of treating them like an object on her table. I particularly love that she has is also well versed on the natural side of things as well - she is great at coaching how to make your pet healthier through diets and supplements rather than only having medication in her toolbox (although that does come in handy when needed!). I don’t have children - these are my children, I’m extremely particular and given so many past bad vet experiences I am also a skeptic. I’m writing this review only after having a handful of exceptional experiences with each pup and she’s surpassed all expectations. If you’re needing or wanting a new vet, do not hesitate take your babies to Stephanie.

I truly leave hear feeling like Bruce cares and wants the best for any pet that he interacts with. We recently had a new member join our family, a Pug. He has this new pet appointment and Bruce took the time to answer all my questions and ensure we were confident taking care of him.

If I could give this place more stars, I would! I just recently changed to this vet hospital and I'm so glad I did. Amazing place and our vet, Dr. Bruce Wright is absolutely fantastic! From the first appt where my dogs Rocky and Yoda met Dr Bruce, we were very impressed. He was great with them, talked to them and made them (and myself!) feel comfortable and at ease. He was also very patient with my younger one's (Yoda), barking and he made friends with my dogs very quickly. I also love that he took the time to get to know them, and explain everything to us as well. Yoda had to have a big surgery last week and we knew he was in great hands with Dr Bruce. He got fixed, a mircro-chip implanted, a couple baby teeth taken out, and his cherry eye (third eyelid prolaspe) out all at once. Yoda and I were very nervous when we arrived for the surgery, but Dr Bruce came out to talk to us right away (something that never happened at a big vet office I went to for years) and explained the surgery and reassured me he was going to be fine. All went well, and Yoda bounced back very quickly and was even barking to come home early! (sorry to the staff for that lol). The place is small but the atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming, friendly, and comfortable. A big shoutout as well to vet assistants Stephanie and Melissa for all their help and kindness during Yoda's surgery, post-op, all their tips and info, and also answering my questions and even email questions regarding Yoda's recovery and medications. You can tell they really care about the animals that they see, and are happy to help make them feel better. Yoda, Rocky and I are very grateful to have found Dr Bruce and this amazing vet hospital. I cannot recommend them enough. We're so happy they are our new vet! Thank you Dr Bruce and staff for all that you do!

Dr. Bruce and his crew are amazing. His love and care for animals is crystal clear. He is the animal whisperer! We have had beloved pets put down in the past as well and Dr. Bruce has been supportive, compassionate and was gentle and caring towards my grieving son and our entire family. we can’t say enough about the continued support we have received from CP vet over the past 18+ years!

Yesterday I had the great pleasure to meet and speak with Dr. Ann McEwan during an appointment for my fourteen year old cat. Dr. McEwan immediately put myself and Maughy at ease with her kind and gentle manner. Maughy was encouraged to explore the exam room, while the humans talked. She asked me about any concerns I had and we spoke at length about Maughy. The appointment was over an hour long and I felt she really got to know my cat. We discussed the challenges faced by older felines and the benefits of homeopathic remedies. I was already giving him supplements and her expertise in this area was invaluable. My cat, like many of his kind, has issues with his teeth. He’s already had two cleanings and an extraction. I was very nervous about the possibility of him having to have another procedure with anesthesia involved. Dr. McEwan checked his gums and was able to manually dislodge tartar on his most affected tooth. Maughy hardly flinched and his Mom let out a huge sigh of relief. No operation necessary. I can’t say enough good things about this vet. She really has the animal’s best interests at heart, takes her time to explain things properly and puts us pet owners at ease with her friendly and humble manner. I very highly recommend the Carleton Place Vet clinic.

Dr McEwan is an extremely patient and knowledgeable. She addressed all of my concerns with very good explanations and research. She noticed things about my 2 dogs that I never would have expected from just a short visit. She is very good understanding and balanced and helped me figure out the best course of treatment for my dogs moving forward. Looking forward to continuing to work with her to get my dogs their best health outcomes.

We were not current clients with CPVH but they accepted our senior dog to get evaluated for some swelling under her eye. They were able to accept us AND have the appointment be a few days later. The admin desk were super thorough with questions, polite and helpful. They even asked what time of day works best for us as a family, which I found extremely thoughtful! My husband was in and out in under an hour with a clear diagnosis and plan going forward. The doctor that treated our dog was friendly and knowledgeable and my husband said he felt like he had been a client for years. Great overall service!

Dr. Janice is simply the best vet that we've had the pleasure of taking our Rosie to! She is so attentive and patient while being informative and kind. As Rosie is an older bulldog and the breed bring notorious with health issues, we've seen Dr. Janice plenty of times and each time is simple reassuring and comforting. We're so thankful to her and her team in Carleton place for their service and how accommodating they are. My wife and I can't recommend this place enough!

CP Animal Veterinary Hospital has been taking care of out two Goldens their whole life, 8 years+. The staff there are awesome and know our boys well. Dr Bruce Wright is a great vet who has a great bedside manner and truly loves animals is great with our oldest who hates the vet’s but loves him. I have nothing but the best to say about this clinic. Great people, great care. Can’t say enough good things about this clinic.

Dr McEwan has been more than helpful with my german shepherd dog. She has gone above and behind by continuing to help our dog. I truly wish there were more doctors like her. Thank you for being a nice person.

Love Dr. Cote! She's the absolute best in the vet biz!!( at the non-corporate/ single owner vet office she works at😆) I hate reviewing things but this review of Dr.Cote and ladies upfront deserve it. Great women helping me out and holding a nice conversation at the front desk.

Dr. Cote is a very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable Doctor. I can tell she is very keen to find out what is wrong with the patient and to help resolve the medical issue. She was able to diagnose my cat immediately and start treatment. All of the staff are respectful and kind towards their patients. I am so happy to have found this clinic.
After a course of treatment, my cat is completely well again. I can't thank the team enough for all of their help.

Dr. Ann McEwan is kind, gentle and vastly knowledgable. She is a true dog whisperer! I highly recommend Carleton Place Veterinary Hospital for your animal's care. The staff is kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and the doctors equally so. My cat's, KC and Leena, have seen both Dr. Janice Glofcheski and Dr. Ann McEwan at different time, and received excellent care each and every time. Furthermore, after each appointment, I walk away with a much better understanding of my cats needs and care simply because the doctor's took the time and care to connect with the cats AND the extra step of thoroughly explaining to me what was happening with them and why. In the end, I walk away with clear plans for treatment, happier kitties, and the information I needed to be a better cat-mom to them. I am very thankful to have this clinic and these two doctor's in my community.

First time we brought our rescue dog Lukie to the Carlton Place Veterinary Hospital was today. They were very considerate to our dog’s needs. Dr Cote did a thorough exam and explained her findings in easy to understand terms and was very patient with our questions. She also laid out a plan of care to treat Lukie with medication for a condition that we were not aware he had. We didn’t meet the behind the scene vet techs but would like to thank them as well as the front desk ladies who were very friendly and nice to chat with. We felt very at ease and Lukie was well looked after.

Absolutely the best experience with all the staff, more information provided than previous vet visits with my older girl, they have my animals interest at heart, so they will always be my choice.
