Rock Creek Station

This place was amazing for our one night stay. The host was accommodating during our wildfire evacuation and offered us a place to camp at no charge. We are truly grateful for their hospitality and sincerely appreciate having a safe place for the night. We did not use the amenities however the host communicated very well, was gracious, shared important information about the facilities, and checked in to ensure that we were taken care of. There was a store, bathrooms, showers, laundry, and the location next to the creek was beautiful and serene. Prospectors Pub was a close walk and we enjoyed our night there too. Wonderful hosts and that made all the difference for us.

What a great campsite! Smooth grassy spots for tents, easy access to water, clean bathrooms, nice and quiet. The highlights for me were the friendly owners and the well-stocked general store. I had forgotten a darning needle for knitting and was shocked when they had one to sell to me!

I would come back to this spot as a cyclist - plenty of tire repair kits and such, and a special spot for cyclist campers.

Overall I had a great time here and would recommend.

In addition to the above, it's family owned and they are really the nicest people you could hope to find. They take FANTASTIC care of the property; trash and recycling bins conveniently located and frequently emptied. No stinking, bee-covered heaps here! I can't imagine staying anywhere else; it's an excellent value, a beautiful location, and honestly felt SO welcomed.

Also, don't miss the handmade goodies in the store! I got a unique fridge magnet, a couple pairs of quirky earrings, and some nice polymer clay beads for my future projects 😁

Great camp spot. We stayed 1 night on our bike tour. The host is great. She welcomed us even though they were temporarily closed. Very helpful for any questions and issues. Hot showers too!

Great place! We have been going there for 2 years for a week at a time. The store has good stock of ice and food ice cream drinks, Waterfront is great camping or RV parking. We showed up with no reservation and they always make room for us. Highly recommended you try this place.

Lovely spot right on a major bicycle route (KVR). Beautiful family run camp site and store. The family was so supportive of bikers of the BC Epic race. They were actively dot watching riders on a tracking site and were there ready to make sure the riders were able to refuel and stock up! Can’t wait to stop here next year again!

Rock creek station is THE PLACE TO DO YOUR LAUNDRY, had a great experience there. Jennifer squeezed us in and flips your laundry for you so you don’t need to worry about sticking around to put it in the dryer. Also a very sweet store with lots of local information and even some second hand clothes.

This place is just magic! We spent the night here after a cycling over from Osoyos. They were accommodating and friendly. The shower was hot, and the store had everything we needed! They welcomed us in as family! If you are on cycle tour or just passing through I highly recommend this as a stop!

My friend and I started our Kettle Valley Route here. They kindly let us leave our car there while we biked for the next five days. The store is great for supplies as they seem to have everything and had a great selection of cold treats and drinks on the day we returned, exhausted and overheated! I didn’t actually realize they had a campground here...I would next time perhaps stay here for an early start the next morning, but it worked perfectly for us.

We came looking for firewood on a locals recommendation after coming up dry at the two gas stations. Found firewood, cold drinks and a really friendly woman that even let us fill our water jugs for our stay at a provincial campground near by. Next time we would stay here instead. Beautiful grassy campground with shade just steps from the river. Absolutely worth leaving the highway to check out.

Loved coming across this little store right of the TransCanada Trail at the old Rock Creek Station! Bought some ice cream and batteries! Friendly owner who knows the history too.

We are hunters and wanted a central and conveniently located campground and this place was perfect! Hot showers, laundry, an impressively stocked little grocery/convenience store and extremely pleasant owners. On top of it all.....they are dog lovers, and our dogs loved it here!
It's a smaller campground and doesn't get overcrowded, which is very nice, has Wi-Fi and it backs onto the river where you can lounge by the swimming hole. A great little place we'd be happy to come to next year.

Rock Creek Station is a terrific campground. There are about 10 grassy spots, half of which have 15 amp service and site #4 (non-serviced) is right on the bank of the Kettle River, though everyone has access to the river. There's a chill vibe about the place which blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. The owners are down to earth, pleasant and funny. They run a country store on site geared to satisfying pretty much any camping need. Not only do they have groceries and camping DVD's, there's a craft section, an automotive section, hardware, house wares, toys for all ages and I think I even saw a doggie life jacket! It's located right next to the KVR which is an easy and scenic bike ride to the Kettle River Provincial campsite about 7km up the trail or if you're a bit more adventurous you could make the 20km (one way)  trek to Midway. The route is level and easy to ride with only one spot, about 1 km, that runs over rutted grassland. I highly recommend researching this ride, it's both relaxing and exhilarating. I rode my mountain bike and it took me about 1 1/2 hrs one way. The prices at Rock Creek Station are very reasonable and are frequently booked for family reunions and larger (responsible) social gatherings. Despite the fact that it's located close to Highway 33 it becomes very quiet after dinner. I had no problem with noise after dark. I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Great Little camping spot steps from the Kettle River.Excellant Fully stocked store With everything you need and might of forgot hehe. Family owned and operated, ready and willing to help out or answer questions. Oh and I should mention one of the few camping places with grass camp sites. My bare feet loved that...Cheers ROCK CREEK STATION.

This is a wonderful place to stop and take a break. There is a nice store and a charging station and a shaded place to sit and relax. The owner was kind enough to open her store just so I could get a cold drink even though it was closed at the time.

Our group tented for the night here on our KVR rail trail bike trip. Lots of room. Very quiet. Super friendly owner. Highly recommend to others!

The owner was super friendly and helpful. They have a good stock of clothing and bike tenting sites. I’m only sorry I couldn’t stay since I had further to go.
