I’ve been patronizing this store for many years. Located in the heart of Oak Bay Village, it is one of those shops where you can browse for quite some time.

It carries kitchen products, clothing, shoes, accessories, cards, journals… a little bit of everything.

I noticed some other reviews have spoken to the attitudes and demeanour of the staff, but I have to say that I have never had any issues whatsoever. I also always ask before I shoot photos, as I’d rather the owners know upfront what I’m doing, and for what purpose.

Having said that, I have found the staff to always be friendly and helpful and eager to help.

The selection of products is well displayed and with a section for each, such as the kitchen/food products and the shoes/clothing, etc.,

Beautiful products throughout and, again, Oak Bay is fortunate to have this store.

I’m a local and I’ve been shopping at Nicholas Randall for years. The owners are extremely thoughtful and helpful; all the items I’ve purchased there have been my favourites and stood the test of time. Great store for unique or hard to find items as well. It’s my go to for gifts, and everyone who is on the receiving end feels like I’ve gone the extra mile. I love the sales such as their sidewalk sale and Boxing Day; I’ve gotten high end items at significantly discounted prices. The staff there seem to care about locals and know my name, going there feels like being part of the community.

I have been a patron for over 27 years. Every time I come into the store I am greeted by name and made to feel welcome. They carry beautiful, exquisite, quality merchandise. I always go to Nicholas Randall when I need to purchase something special. Keep up the great work Lisa and Cindy! You are very much appreciated!

I have found the owners to be helpful and warm. It’s a great store for beautiful items and gifts. There are quality items for kids and adults. There are many locally sourced items and I have purchased things here for my home and office. I appreciate this lovely locally run store.

I love this store because as a woman in her late 60's it is hard to find flattering clothes.I am a size 6 or an 8 and even then it is just hard to find well made and suitable clothes for casual wear. Firstly they sell my favorite rubber boots--Aigne. They are beautifully made in France and they come in tall or short versions. They have lovely nightwear and tons of leggings and beautiful wool socks--BUT I love LOVE their sweaters and their yoga jeans. They really do source around for different things than you see in other women's stores. I had a rather difficult friend who was visiting me and with my poodle in tow (YES they are so nice to well behaved dogs!) I managed WITH ZOE'S help and patience--one pair of FAB Spanish leather ankle boots AND a great pair of flattering yoga jeans. I felt really happy about the price I paid for these items and I have gotten many compliments already. Other times I have dealt with different staff and they CHEERFULLY offer to look in their store room (Zoe did as well!) for other colors and sizes of items and they are knowledgeable about what they sell. Thanks to them I don't have to take the ferry to Vancouver to buy my clothes. And also thanks to them I don't look like a boring senior. They have mostly causal clothes BUT some of their clothing is very appropriate for more formal occasions. I used to think it was a GIFT store (I have bad eyesight and seemed to fail to see ONE LARGE WINDOW devoted to clothing) but I won't make that mistake again!I And I look very hip!

Great store with an amazing team of staff. Very helpful and they will help you find exactly what you need. The store has great gifts or treats for yourself, with a variety of price ranges. Would definitely recommend stopping by.
