Food Basics

A million times cleaner and better quality than the other Food Basics in the area. The staff and other shoppers were much more friendly. Overall a much better shopping experience, I'm shopping at this location from now on.

To the Chairman of the Board of the Metro, Loblaws and Empire food chain. I am deeply sorry how you have been treated by our Members of Parliament and Leaders of the Offical Political Party's in Canada. Scaring the public on food prices. When you laboured through the pandemic and kept us safe and our food source safe. Im attaching a picture of Tuna on sale for .99 cents at Food Basic's in Tecumseh, Ontario. I remember a young Mike Harris Government in Ontario reminding us to shop around and getting cans of Tuna for .99 cents. I remember 47 years ago when sugar spiked to a price higher then the price of Gold. Please understand the public stand behind you. These Politicians should do their job. I smell the winds of 1929 and they will fall at their feet as they try to mislead us. Keep up the great job my fellow grocers. You are Canada proud!

The overall service was quite good as well as the members were kind and served the food as per our preferences..

Great prices and deals but if you wait too long it's welcome to empty shelves here or lucky to get the last one . As usual things just fly off the shelves ,really great deals here ! Great place for groceries. Great Sales !!

On Sunday,after a 21-mile cycle ride, I stopped in to make some on sale purchases, and with my credit card and $100. In my pocket, along with my phone, I started shopping. Taking the phone out several times to view the website sale items, inadvertently the $100. and credit card fell out.
At the checkout, I realized the loss and thought that I had perhaps left the items at home. After returning home, I quickly realized that, in fact, the money and card card were not there, and I must have lost it in the store. Returning to the store, I frantically sought out the manager to explain my loss in hopes that a good citizen had possibly found the lost items.
The manager immediately put me to rest explaining that the money and card had been found and turned in, by one of their employees.
My faith in humanity has been restored, and I want to thank that employee and the staff at Food Basics for their honesty and integrity.

Lots of products and good pricing on many items. Some nice specials every day.

Several international products can be found as well.

As with a growing number of stores, don't forget to bring your own bags.

I find food basics to have the best deals in the city.
The produce is always fresh, and the shelves are fully stocked with the items I need.

Tremendous selection for a budget-price supermarket. Prices are also outstanding - we will be back!

These guys and gals are extra special. Kudos to Brent the manager. He has an eye for hiring the best of the best. I couldn’t find even ONE bad apple among its entire staff in three years, and, I have been lQQking… 🤣… though I couldn’t say the same about some (luckily, very few) of the uncouth Neanderthals that shop there.

It’s such a pleasure shopping at this Food Basics, simply because of their helpful, hardworking, and friendly staff, besides their great prices, location, fully stocked shelves, and CLEANLINESS.

I love this food basics location the staff is very nice and the store is always clean. They have good deals on products and a lot of parking close to Dollarama shoppers drug Mart and Canadian Tire.

My new go to grocery store. Always clean with good staff. Their prices are better then the competitors that I've switched from. The best part, all fruits and vegetables are good quality and tasty. Many times now our guests compliment me on the fruit platter. Which they haven't in the past with previous grocer I shopped at.

My favourite new place since I stopped going to Walmart all together! Very clean store. Friendly staff. Prices have increased which I’m not happy about.
