London Lube

This seems to be a locally owned oil change business that sits on the corner of Hyde Park and Fanshawe. There is only one entry point coming in off the west along Fanshawe, so bear that mind when visiting.

The office is a little small but just crossing the road guevs you many options for amenities in the area while waiting. I also noticed that they did not skimp on heat during winter, because the waiting area was warm and cozy, with a couch and tv on.

Services also include a tire swap, which is what I went for. The service techs also inform you of problems that they have found as I saw with other customer interactions. More importantly, they do not try to upsell and their stance is to inform rather than sell you a service. They have even recommended going to another mechanic to check out issues further.

I spoke to the owner in depth without letting him know of my reviewer status. My read is that he looks out for his employees, not wanting them to overstay. Good, happy mechanics do good work. For the work on my car, he recommended I come back in about 50-100kms to re-torque. I have also tried out the rebalancing service and it's good.

Prices are very reasonable. No complaints about that. Looks like this will be my go-to place for routine car service.

Update: There's an affiliated workshop that can do the heavy duty repairs. Just speak to Ali for the reference.

Update 2: Call in advance for the seasonal tire swap as their schedule gets booked up quick. Drop-ins are unlikely.

EXCELLENT experience! Came in with my jeep few weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to write a review! Had to get an oil change, called a few places and this place was not only the cheapest they had me in and out in no time! Bring your vehicle here! Definitely recommend!

Have had breaks repaired and recently an oil change/tire repair. These guys seem very upfront, honest, and are reasonably priced. Hopefully don’t need to go back any time soon but I def wouldn’t bother going anywhere else!

They did a great job installing new winter tires for me and in a timely manner even though I left it to the last minute. Car was making a little noise afterwards and the mechanic noticed right away and called me back into the shop to make sure everything was perfect. Will definitely be back for all my car needs!

London lube Mr Ali the owner is a very nice guy helpful I had a part which was sized in my transport truck I stop by and he was very helpful he tried his best to cut the sized part and handed to me ...with no charge ...after I insisted he just asked for a coffee... Thank you so much Mr Ali ...u have shown that still good people live in this planet.

Brought my Honda Civic in to check out an issue and diagnosed that my muffler rusted off. They're very honest with what issues there are and didn't push anything on you. I ended up coming back a few days later to get it fixed and it was ready in the evening on the same day. Definitely recommend London Lube for any car needs.

Came in to get my winter tires on (off-rim installation done in record time ~45 mins without an appointment with about an hour to closing time) and found that one rear control arm broke off the joint and the other was cracked on my Nissan Altima. Ali was familiar with the issue being covered under an extended warranty and went out of his way to contact the Nissan dealership himself to make sure the repair was covered. He let me keep the car at his shop overnight and even drove me home since I did not have a car. The next day he personally helped the tow driver load my car in a safe manner to ensure no further damage was done to the car. By far the best service I have ever received at a mechanic. Extremely knowledgable and appreciative of their customers. I would absolutely recommend this shop for any of your automotive needs. Thank you Ali!

If you are looking for a mechanic that will be honest, fair and do a great job at reasonable prices then London Lube is the place to go! My husband and I have used London Lube to service our vehicles on multiple occasions. Even if we didn't have an appointment they would still find time to fit us in, let us know the problem and then schedule time to fix it. What I like most about Abe and Al is that they are honest about the problem. They don't try to sell you something, you don't need, like some dealerships I've used in the past! They are helpful and try to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Amazing staff! Great service all around. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Needed a changed tire, found out CAA stole my lug nut key. These guys went above and beyond to fix someone else's mistake so I could get back on the road safely. 1000/10 would recommend.
