I was worried about my debt and didnt think I could get help. My sister suggested Grant Thornton and although I was aprehensive, I called them. Much to my surprise, I had a great experience and every thing was well explained!!I would recommend Grant Thornton to anyone who is struggling with too much debt

Grant Thornton counselors are so kind and informative. This company helped me so much in getting my debts in order during a very difficult time. I have been very ill with heart failure and my debts from retiring early put me in a massive stressful situation which made my illness worst. They helped me with a repayment plan that worked with my disability income. They also counseled me in how the credit system works and how to budget my expenses with helpful links to guide. I would recommend them to anyone who is in debt. I wish I knew about them years ago.

In the beginning it was super difficult to make the call, as I didn’t understand what it all involved. Once I made the call, I was extremely relieved, and felt like I could breathe again. Grant Thornton is super helpful, there is no judgment and want nothing but the best for you.

I just wish consumer proposal’s were better understood, and there was more information on it.

Best decision!! Wish I would've done it sooner. I was paying my debt monthly but the balance remained the same. I was able to reduce my debt by over 50% with Grant Thornton. I kept my house & my car. The financial counseling was extremely helpful. I felt like I was talking to a friend. I can't recommend this enough. If you're struggling to pay the minimum payment on your debt, and the balance never goes down, call them.

I honestly have zero regrets from doing a credit proposal. Grant and Thornton has been a huge help. They made me feel like it was okay to seek help. They were understanding and I did not feel judged. Great advice on re building credit and using it more as a tool than as “extra money” or another income. Great for people who are nervous to re build credit or don’t know where to start. Super supportive counselling sessions very non judgmental. Accommodating your sessions to your schedule and flexible if needing to reschedule. Highly recommend choosing grant Thornton to help you get on the right path to getting out of debt and getting your credit back in good standing.

I highly recommend Grant-Thornton. At my initial intake I was put at ease with the friendly and empathetic manner. I did not feel judged at all, they were very understanding and helped me find the best solution for my financial difficulties. I really appreciated the first counselling session. Again such respect and helpfulness in helping me find a budget that works for me. The stigma around bankruptcy can keep people from getting help when they really need it. My first consultation with Grant Thornton was positive and very easy to understand. They walked me through the process of the consumer proposal and it was accepted by my creditors. I had my first financial counselling today with Susan and it left me feeling very relieved. She explained everything to me on the budget and a short term goal. She also informed me that getting a job to make extra money was a good idea and that nothing would affect my extra income or any assets I aquire in the future as long as I don't fall behind on my payments. This was the best decision I made.
