Fantastic museum. Many aircrafts and exhibits relating to Canadian Aviation and its history. Highly recommended. And check the website for Canada Day and Remembrance Day: to see a few of ~100 years old planes flying! Kudos to the Volunteers who are very much needed to keep this museum operating. Appreciated.

Favorite interactive place to take guests and little ones! Great interactive place for kids and any aviation enthusiast! Super friendly, knowledgeable and kind staff. They also have a great little gift shop! Lots of outdoor exhibits for the sunny days and even a ton of indoor exhibits and info for the rainy days. I recommend bringing your own picnic and enjoying lunch in the gated picnic area they have that backs the langley airport runway!

They even offer memberships for a more then fair price!

If you can I reccomend a Sunday when Robert is in. He made a 2 hour tour fly by and taught us more then I could have known to even ask. The pictures he carries with him and the videos to demonstrate the planes in flight and internal workings were fascinating! Such a fun and engaging place to spend a few hours.

If you're into aviation and history, this is a must stop when heading east from Vancouver. Unfortunately, we visited on a rainy day, so the kids were not able to sit inside the cockpits of the planes. However, they still had plenty of fun looking at the various planes, engines, and designs. They were able to get up close and personal with these aircrafts and learn about their history. If you took your time to read all of the descriptions and learn, you can easily spend 2-3 hours at the museum. The staff was very friendly and gave us a good introduction to the place. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Experience! We visited yesterday (April 30, 2023) with my family and friends. We were assisted by Robert. He was amazing! We learned a lot from him and he taught us details of the historic planes by heart. He was a very nice and jolly man.
I would definitely recommend Canadian Museum of Flight and look for Robert! 👍All Worth it! ❤

Full & I mean full of planes & history. There's many you can walk up & close to. They have stairs on some so you can get a closer look into the cockpit.
Full of history, each plane has a board giving the details about it.
Money worth spending!

We drove from Portland to attend the Battle of Britain commemorative day on 16 September, 2023. What a gem of a museum! A plethora of exhibits with attendant placards thoroughly explaining a particular display. Another point that impressed us was the number of displays featuring women participating in all phases of aviation. This is very encouraging, and we understand the museum is involved in programs to encourage more women to consider careers in aviation. Fabulous! (Having the only Handley Page Hampden in their collection is also huge.) We will return.

If you are a history lover or mad about aviation dont miss out on this place. Its perfect for that Sunday 'lets do something' mood especially with kids. Informative, exciting and intriguing. You can watch the planes and helicopters take off and landing , which is a hit with kids. The place is full of information if you are looking for that special project for school as well. The gift shop is small but sufficient. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very very helpful. No limits to time, stay as along as you like. NOT A WHOLE day thing though. The place has some interactive stations, and videos to watch as well. The cockpits are not open to sit in but can certainly have a good look inside as the steps are attached to the planes outside. Lots of models on display and a few model planes available to build at home. Prices in gift shop are very reasonable. All up.. cheap and fun and clean!

It is an amazing place to visit for aviation enthusiasts. One can find the development of aircraft from the olden times to modern age technology.
They also have informative people around who can help you answer all sorts of aviation related questions.
I was lucky enough to visit the place on Canada Day and got a chance to meet a former Lockheed F104 Starfighter pilot.

They have an amazing collection of planes, models, engines and apart from that there's a gift shop from where you can buy some aviation memories to take back home.

In a nutshell it is a must go place for aviation geeks and a cherry on the cake you can get inside some of the airplanes. To make things even better, you get an amazing air side view of the Langley Regional Airport.

Some planes to see include:
Lockheed CF-104D Mk2 Starfighter
Handley Page Hampden
Canadian Quickie 1
Avro CF-100 Canuck Mk3B
Canadair CT-114 Tutor

Along with 2 DC 10 engine cowlings used as doors😍
McDonell Douglas MD9 nose section

And many more planes, models, engines, etc

One of a kind museum where you can see and touch actual planes that have flown sorties and missions in war. You can even sit in some of the plane cockpits. The staff is very helpful and super friendly.
