Small Family Friendly campground with a lake wrapped by the Welland River.
Catch and Release fishing.
Beach and swimming area.
Great place for seasonal and occasional camping, hosting organized family friendly activities. Easy hiking trail with docks around the Lake and a lookout with benches. There's a short forest trail at the north end that loops back to the park road. Some campsites have river access.

Top state park for camping. The tall trees are just for camping. The bathroom is ok, would rate 4.0 out of 5. It is a very big place. You would need to drive to the lake to swim. Kids love the swimming lake. There are lots of life guard. It separates into different depth. There are beach shallow area, jumping area from ground level and from 1 meter height, lap pool area... Best lake playing area I've ever seen.

It's our second time visiting this wonderful spot. We spent a lovely day with friends. You can let the kids run around freely without worry. Everyone around is considerate and noone drives quicker then 12km/h. The serenity and well kept surroundings lets you truly to relax and leave the stress of every day behind. We are most definitely coming back again!!!

I love this place! I love the beach, the canoe rentals, the staff, the location! Beach is always kept clean. This is my home away from home. Please if you go, and have four legged friends, KEEP YOUR DOGS ON A LEASH!

Beautiful campground, some of the campsites aren't the best. Nice little beach for swimming, playground for the kids. Wood and ice sold on site.

Our favourite place to camp. The beach is awesome, every site has a picnic table and a fire pit, every site so far has been fairly flat. Friendly staff, reasonable price - cost us $57 for an unserviced site on a long weekend. Plus on our last trip, our battery died on our truck and the staff brought a truck to give us a boost. Clean showers and a nice playground area. Lots of open space and trees. Only request would be to allow for temperature change in the showers. The water temp is set and cannot be changed and I would like it a little warmer. But not much else negative, most guests are friendly and respectful also.

Nice campground or day use location. Plenty of fish in the pond to fish for, absolutely great place to take a kayak or canoe, with plenty of guys even launching boats with electrical motors.

Does cost a fee for day use.

For camping the amenities were nice. Bathrooms are good. My only complaint would be the sites are all in close proximity with not a ton of privacy. Additionally the one year we stayed, we did have some noise from neighbors that didn't stop until midnight so policing that way may be poor, or maybe was a fluke.

The campfire cooking setup isn't ideal, you'll want to bring your own grate.

Nice campground. A couple of small docks for fishing, where you will catch mostly sunfish. I think you would have to boat out to the middle of the lake for better luck with bass. Campsites are nice and big, and pricing is good, especially compared to other campgrounds. There is also a walking trail that goes around the lake through the forest which you can explore.

We adore this park.

Hardly any internet, and you are surrounded by nature. Many of the permanent campers are absolutely lovely and staff is diligent and kind.

Everyone is so open and welcome and accepting, but also rediculoslus nonesense is not tolerated. For example, when we went there was a wedding on a Saturday that was still going around 11 pm when I fell asleep, but they don't let campers get overly drunk and unruly.

We love coming here every year and I look forward to when in a few years we will be able to stick our own camper there permanently.

I have so many childhood memories here and it is a joy to now do the same with my kids, who acclimate to having no screens after about a day haha.

I feel SAFE here. I won't let my kids play down the street without me, but here I know they can walk to the restrooms, etc alone and they will be just fine. I know the adults around them will be kind.

We have a chatty puppy. He doesn't bark incessantly, but every one and a while, he wants to talk to a dog passing by. Everyone is so friendly and understanding, and you can hear dogs chatting all over the place (not excessively). Essentially the vine is amazing. everyone co exists wonderully.

Wait ... I mean don't go here it is terrible in fact so terrible no one else should ever try to tale a permanent spot. save yourself and leave them for me! :-P

Great campsite. Clean facilities. The serviced sites are tight but we always take our RV to sites with no service. Great bass fishing is a bonus.

Our favourite local campground. It's our place for a quick getaway while still able to get to commitments. It's small, it's quiet, it's well kept. The sites are pretty private. The beach isn't some spectacular destination but it's clean and keeps the kids happy. Lots of open green space to run and play.

Although the weather wasn't the greatest while we were here, we did make the best of it! The place is clean and the grounds are well taken care of. There is camping for all, 30amp serviced sites, 15amp serviced sites and non serviced sites. We walked the park and we were very impressed. The non serviced sites were a lot more private and some were backing to the river. We will definitely be back! Hopefully with better weather!
