During my travels through Canada in my Landcruiser I noticed my brakes started giving more and more shaking in the steering. So I googled for a workshop with specific Landcruiser knowledge and found out about Shanes place on i8mud forum. He comes highly recommended by Landcruiser owners in the Toronto area. So I showed up on his driveway unannounced on a National Holiday and he took time to make a test drive and preliminary diagnosis. We made an appointment for next day noon. one front rotor had a significant warp and we machined both of them with a very ingenious machine in situ on the car. Also rear pads were replaced and load proportional valve adjusted for the cars lift and load. Worked like a charm and it’s no longer scary to hit the break’s 👍. Thanks a lot Shane.

Shane is a great guy, exceptional fabricator and mechanic. He did a very thorough and reasonably priced job repairing my rusted floor boards on my GX470. I would recommend anyone in the GTA needing metal work or just about anything to do with a 4x4 build check this place out. I’ll be back for sure!

Here is my story, one year after purchasing an fj cruiser from the east coast did I notice my rear upper control arms starting to separate from my frame. The brackets attaching them were severely rusted and were starting to warp and tear. Unfortunatley many local shops in Toronto just don't have the know how or ability to complete this repair so I headed over to a toyota dealership in hopes of a saving grace. After making me wait an unnecessary hour did one of the techs come out and tell me they couldn't repair the issue and toyota wasn't taking any responsibility for this either even though it's a similar frame to the tacomas which had a recall. Since the Fj wasn't made in as many numbers there simply wasn't enough complaints set forth for a recall to have been set in place. I was told by the manager I would be better off scraping the car even though everything else was in perfect working order to just "get a new 4runner". Obviously not being a gullible fool I told him to go where the sun don't shine. I spread my search and was able to find Toy works auto craft located in Orangville just an hour drive from my city ! After a short conversation with Shane over the phone was I confident he was able to save my fj ! I dropped off my car and told Shane that he didn't need to rush as I was grateful he was willing to take the job after my terrible ordeal in the city. Not only was he well experienced with toyotas and a pleasure to deal with in person, Shane worked all throughout the night for me simply cause he couldn't get to bed that night and had the car ready for me in a days time ! Shane successfully saved my car and even customized new brackets out of galvanized steel which he firmly welded into place. The repair has been holding strong these past two years and I have been able to continue enjoying my wonderful fj cruiser thanks to the talented work of Shane at Toy works auto craft. If you need some quality toyota repairs I highly recommend this shop, you won't regret it !

Best place for Toyota repairs or custom Toyota truck fabrication. Shane is super nice and extremely helpful with many, many years of knowledge under his belt. Very accommodating and Great prices as well.

I would have given this place a 0 star if it was an option. I was in for replacing all 4 struts on my lexus.

Firstly Shane quoted me a price and charged me double for a work that I planned 2 weeks in advance so that there were no surprises, I took my parts with me so nothing extra was added by him as parts except that his labour was twice.
Secondly, he was not aware of how to get the rear struts removed so as to put in new ones and had to go to youtube videos to get the job done & this was also on my time. Again it wasn't a surprise walk-in & ample time of 2 weeks was given to schedule my work so that he would know exactly what needs to be done & how to go about the job and shud have been prepared. This was the reason why the labor came out double since he didn't know how to go about the job.
Thirdly, Shane left my upholstery in a mess, I had to spend to buy products & put in about 2 hours to clean up the mess. Some pics to show what went on.
Will never go back here and advise anyone going there to make sure you have a written quote so that you can stay firm on the payment. He ripped off another friend in a similar manner.
