Aberdeen Hospital

I couldn’t have asked for better care for my elderly mother. All the staff from the CA’s, lab technician, nurses and the attending physician in the Emergency room were excellent. Yes they are busy and there is waiting but that is not the fault of the staff who I felt were doing their very best while being understaffed and over worked. Thanks to the staff at the Aberdeen for being awesome!👏🏼

This week my sister who was visiting from the States ended up in extreme pain. As we have no emergency care in our local hospital, the 811 nurse said to get her immediately to hospital. We cannot not say enough great things about her experience. Everyone from the triage nurse to reception, all nurses and techs and to the two doctors that consulted were supportive and professional.

Dr. Peppard we can’t thank you enough for what you did for us. We wish you all the best in your next adventure in the USA!

Great staff! When i came at the emergency whit a bilateral pulmonary embolism they took over me quickly! I received treatment and thid aime examed on the same minutes or so. Thanks to the emergency staff and a big thanks to icu theam to taking care or me. ( Christena, Mélissa, Lisa, Courtney! Big hug from the guy from Québec....

The few times I have come there for care and procedures I have got nothing but wonderful, helpful and friendly people. In my appointmentsI never felt rushed to ask any questions and never felt "hurried out" as I have in the city. This hospital's nurses and doctors should teach some of the cities staff because its like night and day! Wonderful!

I went to get x-rays 9 months ago.I was greeted by a very friendly pleasant young lady. I had a 2 minute wait.
Everything went awesome!!

So,I had my knee replacement done on May 23rd 2023 by Dr. Howard. Awesome Orthopedic surgeon. He's very thorough, great bedside manner, polite, the best,in my books. Along with the day surgery staff, and of course the staff on the 4th floor that looked after me and many others ..

A recent visit at the MRI department was outstanding! Very courteous, and caring staff that went over and above during my visit.I even got to wear scrubs, instead of the old traditional Johnny shirts, like elsewhere! Hospital was very clean from the front door and back.
Very much appreciated after a 2.25 year wait with our broken medical system… I would still be waiting for the Infirmary in Halifax if, I wasn’t willing to go to New Glasgow. Subsequently, the results got me an expedited visit with an neurologist and surgery ASAP!
Very grateful for an amazing staff during such difficult times!

Great Hospital I drove 250km from the south shore for a MRI in the Aberdeen Hospital on Jan 20 2023 in a blinding snow storm and when we got there from the lady's at front desk and then in to diagnostic Dept. reception lady and then on to the MRI dept. every person we dealt with was polite and profeftional and kind you guys and gals Rock keep up the good work .. hope this reaches you and your management share with the workers 2 thumbs up to you all ... Kevin is not only a great doctor but is also one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met. My wife broke her ankle and Kevin has been along for every step of the way.

I am very grateful to the staff at Aberdeen Hospital. After triage I was quickly brought in and, without going in to details, care was immediately begun. Multiple tests were run, and thankfully they continued looking for the source of my trouble until they found it. After half a life spent in pain undetected by other medical professionals, the doctors, nurses and staff at Aberdeen have given me hope and validation. I truly believe they saved my life that day, and I am so incredibly grateful.

I was admitted for surgery yesterday, and stayed 24 hours as an inpatient on the 4th floor.
Being a nurse myself, I was humbled to be taken care of by my peers.
I was treated so respectfully, and cared for in a way that touched my heart.
From the staff at first floor surgery, to the surgeon Dr.O'Sullivan and anesthesiologist, Jill the OR nurse, and all the other caring OR staff.
Sue Smith in the recovery room is a veru comforting nurse to wake up to as well as her partner in the recovery.

On the floor I was met by nurse Jeremy, and many other fine nurses.
My cousin Victoria MacDonald was one of my very competent and compassionat nurses today.
The food was delicious and nutritious, the housekeepimg staff was friendly and caring.
I honestly cannot say enough about the wonderful care I recieved at ARH.

On Jan 20, 2022 I needed urgent medical care so was driven to the emergency department. I was triaged and documented professionally and pleasantly. I was in a great deal of pain so was brought in quite quickly and attended to by a wonderful team of medical professionals. Dr. Tuba (sic) Dr. Kading, Hanna and all the crew (sorry I cannot remember all your names) provided me with the professional care I needed as well as instilling in me confidence I was in very goods hands.

I normally don't do reviews, but this is a special occasion. I had an MRI booked to which I was in 30 minutes early. I spoke to 4 staff members while being there, and each were very helpful and nice. I read the reviews on here and would say I was slightly skeptical, but this Hospital did a fantastic job.

I had a great experience at the Aberdeen Hospital, emerg wait time was average. I was admitted that day and had surgery 2 days later the nurses on my floor were excellent, Dr Sharma my surgeon excellent as well.

A relatively newer helipad. It used to land at Parkdale Soccer Fields, where an ambulance would meet the helicopter after ferrying the gravely sick and injured to the area.

The new location saves 10’s of minutes on transit, when seconds count.

I had hip surgery with Dr.Boudreau in 2017. My experience at Aberdeen Hospital was very good. Staff were very helpful. Thank you.

Although a long drive from Dartmouth my appointment went very well and the staff were kind and helpful throughout my time there...

I had a Hernia OP and I was looked after and cared for...very friendly stuff and Doctors were great...thank you

Staff in emergency department, X-ray department and orthopedic department were phenomenal to me during my visits during the past 6 weeks !
