Perfect stopping point to do between Charettetown and Cape Breton. No that far off the highway (0.5km) but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. They have benches with roofing for shade, green space and good views.
Please remember to pick up your trash, keep the parks clean for others!

Awesome lake, very pretty view, but SMALL. little parking, little lake front (beach like) areas. Warm waters my dog loved it. would love to bring a canoe when I go back.

Great little provincial Park. Lots of parking. And sometimes mysterious snow circles will appear on the ice.

Nice little park beside a lake . Found it by turning the wrong way after exiting the highway . It was raining so ate in the motorhome . Looks like hiking trails here also . Popular spot , a lot of cars are in while we here

Quiet provincial day park on a sheltered pond. This is the perfect place to stop for a break, have lunch, a nap, use the dry toilet facilities AND if you happen to have a canoe, kayak, or paddle board with you, go for a paddle ! What more could you ask for ? Meticulously maintained, as are all Nova Scotia parks. No supervision. No slip, not suitable for motorized craft.

A well kept, short trail. I often take a bag with me to pick up any trash left behind but I very rarely see such things here. Most of the time I'm just stopping in to sit by the pond to read before I go to work. Absolutely love the convenience of being able to stop here at this beautiful spot on my way to work. It's a particularly nice occasion when the bald eagles are about and playing around or hunting for fish. I've seen as many as three at one time though I suspect there may be a few more.

Small little provincial park intended for picnicing - quite pleasant for what it is, with a nice little pond and a loop trail through the adjacent forest which is slightly over a kilometer in length. Nice stop just off of the 102

Growing up, we used to go there every winter and mess around on the frozen "pond". During all other seasons, McElmon's Pond offers spectacular scenic views, of the lush, vibrant forest, as you stroll along its inviting trail. Colorful blossoms and rich greenery set the stage as nature provides the backdrop for your visit. At waters edge, you are humbled by the intense beauty and serenity that surround you, as you gaze awestruck at the lavish, unmolested landscape of tree and water.

Nice little picnic area and the hiking trail is quite nice too (at 1.6 km) is doable for even kids. Great right at sunset.

Nice pond. The hike around the trail is about 2.3 km. There are nice picnic areas and toilets available in the warmer months.

Great place to go for the day, came from out of province, will definitely be back! For those from Ontario it has an algonquin feel

This is a nice park for a break from driving. Or for fishing. Or for a nice forest hike. There are toilets and picnic tables under a roof shelter.
