Incredible. Felt like being on Mars. If you go about 20 minutes to the right of the stairs, there's a mini waterfall and strange grassy field.

Definitely be careful of time though. The tide can come in and trap you without notice.

Incredible to walk on the ocean floor. Check the tide schedule, you can walk 3h before and after the low tide. If you have the chance to book a sunset tour guide, I suggest you do it. Had a blast and really nice to see the little creatures. Most beautiful sunset ever. You can go up the lighthouse!!!

Don't expect anything fancy. You park, go down the path to the stairs, and then your on the floor of the Bay of Fundy. No vendors or shops. Great way to spend half day on your trip to Halifax. We timed our visit within 1-2 hours of low tide. We walked around marveling at the fact we were walking at nearly 60 feet below high tide. We walked around the base of an entire island. Definately worth the drive to see this. It's 5 stars because it's an awesome natural wonder that your never going to see anywhere else.

A trip out to Nova Scotia is not complete without a visit out to the Bay of Fundy.

This park and location was beautiful and picturesque. It was tranquil and serene as you sit and watch the water 💦 slowly rushing back into the bay. You can walk in the floor bed during low tide ( 6-7AM ) and you better be on solid ground by 5PM.

There is a lovely gift shop / lighthouse as well here.

We got to see this place at low tide and then high tide.
Since it's the Bay of Fundy - tides are of utmost importance.
You need to check and see the tide timings.
Parking is free and ample so no cost involved.
There is a public washroom there which is clean and easily accessible and visible.
They also have a lighthouse where you can go up and see the entire area.
It's a steep climb but worth the effort - it's free too.
Inside this lighthouse on the walls is a lot of interesting facts too.
If you stand at the water long enough you will see the ground disappearing.
I have attached pictures for you to see.

A very nice place to visit with a beautiful view. Parking and entry is free and they have a decent amount of spaces. They have a small lighthouse/viewpoint that you're allowed to go up to the top in which is very cool. The trails down to the water are quite short and a good distance for all ages. MAKE SURE you don't wear fancy shoes or pants because there WILL be mud once your down by the water. All in all a good place to visit.

This is a MUST SEE location in NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA! You can see the best views of the High and low tides here as well as walk on the ocean floor during low tides. The lighthouse allows you to have an awesome view of the area from its height. Wear appropriate shoes or boots for walking the ocean floor and bring walking sticks if available for stability although not required.

More touristy than other spots. Parking is plentiful and marked. There are signs with historical information located at strategic spots on the property. Well marked trails and handrails at the stairs. Stunning views! We were here in the winter.

Check the tides and come at low and high. It's awe inspiring to watch the change, and learn about how much the land has evolved. Lots of info on the trail and at the lighthouse, and knowledgeable folks. Worth driving out to other small towns to spend the between time. A must see.

Completely amazed by the height of the tides! Beautiful landscape to experience. There is so much to see at low tide. Kids were having a blast finding hermit crabs! Definitely wear water shoes to be most comfortable and safe and be sure to keep track of the time because the tides coming in are fast and serious business!! This isn't a place to go swimming!

The place is very cozy and not crowded with visitors. The history of the lighthouse and the photographs are very interesting. I missed the low tide so I couldn't walk on the ocean floor. But I still saw a lot of beauty.

This is a MUST DO for visiting Nova Scotia! We went at low-tide and walked on the ocean floor and went in the caves. It was incredible. Don’t worry too much if you didn’t bring the proper footwear, we wore sandals and running shoes. Just be okay with getting them dirty.

Beautiful spot! Really easy to walk down to from the parking lot. We didn't see it during high tide but it was really nice to walk on the ocean floor during low tide. There is someone supervising to make sure people leave before high tide or you will be trapped. There's also a hose to wash off your feet/shoes when you're done. Really enjoyed our time here!

We walked the ocean floor at low tide and it was amazing. Great views, beautiful scenery and lots of crabs. We wore water shoes which was the best option. The tides are incredible. The best part is it's free. Just watch where you walk and be careful.

A great place for tourist attraction. One of the 7 natural wonders in North America, such a beautiful nature wonder set in the bay of fundy. I took tons of beautiful pictures and really enjoyed walking on the ocean floor. Many interesting and beautiful rock formation sites seeing. Also we had a simple picnic, then we stayed a bit to catch the tide coming back, that was awesome!!!👍🌲🌳😎🌞🚶‍♀🚶🚶‍♂👣🏞💞📷

This awe-inspiring natural park is only a 1 hour drive from the Halifax Region and has the highest tides in the world! We arrived at low tide which allowed us lots of time to explore the ocean floor. The park staff are very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions about the local history and natural environment. I highly recommend wearing a pair of rubber boots so that you can explore the ocean floor which is a mixture of rock, sand, muck and tidal pools.

Really one of the most amazing places I’ve ever seen. We spend 3 hours walking around and seeing the place changing dramatically with the tide. From no chance to walk to the island to a very Long Beach. With sun and almost no people (still) this becomes a unique place. Certainly also the peace of this place will eventually be killed by humans but as for now it is not overcrowded.

Loved my visit to burntcoat head park. The park is free to access with free parking. The park attendants are quite welcoming and nice. You can visit the lighthouse first to have an overview of the site. I visited at lowish tide and it was gorgeous! Was wearing converse shoes (as I had not packed anything else) and they manage to remain unstained. The ocean floor was not as sleepery as I had anticipated.
