Outstanding oasis that has everything for everyone, including natural beauty. Take a break, and have a leisurely walk through or play on of about 10 different sports offered throughout the facilities inside the park. Recommended!

The gardens here are so lovely. The rose garden is a delightful Oasis & a joyous place where weddings sometimes happen. I read a bit about the history of the park, the landscaper of the time, had trees & plants sent on a boat from France! Our family has had many picnics in the park, so many spots to set up. The covered picnic areas can be booked through the City of New Westminster. If you visit, don't miss seeing the train, rose gardens & the trails through the wood. There used to be a petting zoo but sadly, it closed a few years ago.

The biggest park is in the New Westminster city. It has several parking lots. It is a wonderful place for you to have a jog, walking with your dog, taking a morning run as well as just leisurely walking around.

Some areas are fensed up for rehabilitation, so please be noted not to walk into those places. There are different gardens for the plants. you may enjoy the scenery as well as some places for you to play baseball tennis and various sports.

I absolutely love this park. It's a gem in the middle of the city, filled with nature, recreational spaces and beauty. A plece where you can go and relax in a bench for hours, read, clear your mind, have a bbq. Play soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, run, walk, hockey. Your kids can play with the water fountains....what not? The surrounding areas are beautiful as well and this park makes everything even more impressive

On a lovely sunny day in April, we visited the Queen’s Park in New Westminster. This historic urban park was built in 1887. It’s natural and well maintained with various functional facilities, such as Arena, sports field, gymnastics, trails, wedding venue, playground and the picnic tables. Love the beautiful Rose Garden. Some workers have done great jobs of designing and gardening in it. Lots of parking space for visitors.

Great park to do almost every thing here. The cherry blossom tree at the parking lot by the arena are so beautiful and they usually reach the full bloom around mid April. And between the parking lot and the rainbow playground, a small rose garden is hidden at the back which could also be a good spot to take pictures, and sometimes weddings ceremonies are held in this rose garden.

Queen's Park has all of the amenities, including playing fields, an arena, a kids' water park, and much more. It's a good place for family or group picnics. Free parking is available.

This rink is excellent for minor hockey. Plenty of seating for home and away parents and kids with a consession open most of the time. The lobby has plenty of room and TV for sports events as well. Very clean, plenty of parking even when the soccer and lacrosse fields are being used.

Lots of amenities for kids and adults. Great trails for walking. Very well maintained, and clean.
Sometimes though wasps can be pain in the... however that's what nature brings.
Water park and (2020+ no more petting zoo) are great for little ones.
Thank you New West for keeping this city jewel in shape.

What a fabulous park! The pathways are a joy to walk. The beautifully tended flower areas are a must see. Park staff have designated areas for butterfly's, birds, and insects. The dog park area is a delight and my daughter and I enjoyed the antics of the dogs as they cavorted within their area. The park has something for everyone and is a must go for me as it offers a wonderful level of tranquility.

We had so much fun yesterday for our first visit. Plus bonus to do free play with clay to bring home. Will definitely go back for a picnic

While most reviews are based on the park’s nature views and “walk ability”, I thought I would point out the sporting nature of the park. First though the positive reviews already posted about the park are spot on. As well though, you can see some excellent hockey games and indoor sporting events in the arena, and see lacrosse games on the field.

What a great place for a stroll on a warm Spring morning! There are lots of things to do in this 75 acre park, but I was there for part of a walk from the hospital, then down along the river.
Steep (but not too steep) from the McBride Avenue overpass, passing walking and biking trails, an off-leash dog park, and public washrooms.
Stopped on one of the many benches to enjoy some of the many flower beds and trees along the way.
A great place to walk for locals and tourists alike.

I very much enjoy a long walk, starting at Queen's Park, on through downtown and along the Quay. I was surprised to find the park virtually deserted on my first long walk of the new year. As my photos show, the band shell, play area, tennis courts and baseball field were all empty. What a great opportunity to stroll at one's own pace and enjoy the peace and quiet!

This is a truly remarkable park. The landscapers have gone out of their way to be really creative. There are small figurines and sculptures all over the if you look for them. Some are very subtle at the base of trees and you have to be right up near the particular installation to really see it while others are right out of Lord of the rings.

Great large park. Areas to play sports, to walk trails, spray park, playground, picnic shelters and more. The park in general is very shaded with the big trees. The big trees help it stay cooler on super hots days, but in not so hot days, it can feel cool, especially if kids are playing in the water.

Absolutely breathtaking local park. New Westminster is known for its public parks and do not disappoint with this one! Full of every amenity you can imagine, Queens park is an excellently managed local park for new Westminster. I go there regularly for walks

Very nice park. Lots to see and do here. Baseball diamonds, dog park, water park, bandstand, many buildings for hosting events. A great place in the city to do many AZ activities.

We love this park because of the petting zoo. The kids learn a lot and observe when they stay inside the petting zoo for 2-3hours. The new washrooms are better. The playground is exciting as usual ... we enjoy gathering there

I never knew there was such an amazing park here in the Tri-cities!! I lived here for so long and I just found out by volunteering for my church day camp.

Wonderful place. There's a beautiful view like Central Park, a waterpark, multiple playgrounds, and even a letting zoo! There's also face painting and crafts organized by the staff.

The petting zoo consists of mainly goats but there's also pigs and ducks as well.

Apparently this is a popular tourist attraction. I saw lots of summer camps besides us come here too.

Parking seems not too bad. But I love this place!!

Towering trees and huge playground amidst the forest makes for a very attractive and fun park for my kids. Big slides, tons of swings for small and older and a exclusive area for toddlers. During the summer the goats, rabbits and sheep are well tended in the petting area and the water park is always a hit (albeit, freezing cold water!). Love it!
