Union Jack Public House

I have been here couple of times. Very good service. The menu is full of options.

Once I had tacos and the other time I had their Jambalaya. Both very nice but, I think the Jambalaya was better, and good value for your money.

The IPA was good. Prices are reasonable. Central location.

Real, full-size patty, juicy hamburgers! Fresh french fries and onion rings. Light on mayo which is exactly how I like it. My fellow diner, a former restaurant owner, was also impressed.

Great atmosphere, friendly service. We went on a Friday night a few weeks ago, there was some live music and a decent crowd. The servers may have had somebody call in sick, but despite appearing under staffed the ladies who were serving did an excellent job tending to everybody. We couldn’t be more impressed. Our food was delicious and filling, and reasonably priced. Even the food from nearby tables smelt fantastic.

We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Besides the food and the service, their band is really good. I always have a great time there!

This is a pub. It is a pub with servers who seem like they've been there a long time and love their job. They sing along to the music as they work and keep it fun. The clientele was an older crowd when we were there and the servers seemed to know them and their orders as they walked in, in the greatest tradition of a neighborhood pub. But for a place called the Union Jack, I would have expected to see one somewhere. It seems like the atmosphere is somehow missing.

Have not been here for a while. Did not disappoint. Food was delicious, good portions and reasonable price. Service was excellent

Went to Karaoke last night. I was astounded at how good all the singers were. Blew my mind. Really, go check it out.

Really enjoyed our visit here, had a great feel to it and the food and atmosphere were awesome, plus the Yorkshire pudding was on special and you can't beat that, check the photo 😁

My husband and I love popping in for a few drinks when we have the chance. Good prices and great staff. There are only 2 gluten free menu items, fries or a salad, so not the best options if you can’t eat gluten and want a meal to go with your drinks. Great otherwise though!

Went here with some friends for a burger and a couple drinks. The burger was large and everything was delicious. Their fries were very good as well. Our server Jen was great, checked up on us a number of times and kept our drinks filled up. Food and drinks arrived quickly. Overall it was a great experience and we will be coming back soon!

It was first time in there since I have moved back to New west over two years ago. The place has changed and it is now better. The bartenders I had tonight in Gabby and Jenn were the best especially when it was busy for karaoke night. It was fun to sing and be their for that night and it brought the atmosphere of the place into a great mood on this loving long weekend. Prices for drinks were on par with everything thay has been happening in the world bit still a good deal out their. Will definitely be coming back to see Gabby and Jenn once more

Service was good. Attentive and friendly. We ordered the nachos and they were awesome.
Went back the next day and stayed for the band. 5 piece band and wow! They were quite awesome. Nice mix of music...not the usual repetitive bar band music. The lead singer had chops but he needed to turn up his vocals...the band kind of over-powered him.
Would definitely go there again.
Sure hope that they pay their musicians a decent wage....

My first time at the Union Jack. I went with friends at had a wonderful time. Drink prices were reasonable and the food was above average for a pub. The staff was very friendly and professional. There was a band playing, March Hare, and they were excellent. Of course this added to the experience and the feelings of camaraderie and good spirits. Definitly will be going back again.

Good clean bar with plenty of drink options. Good attitude from efficient staff. Band was great and the crowd inside was super friendly. Well worth going over from Richmond. I’ll go again. One slight issue was I wasn’t sure about a Jack Daniels I ordered didn’t taste like JD. But it was changed without any fuss so again - kudos to the staff. Another staff member helped get a taxi at the end of the night too.

We were there for a birthday party. Our waitress was terrific. We kept her very busy and she always had a smile and was kind. The food is always good and the band was terrific. Not a bad thing to say about this pub. I'll go again soon , maybe for a girl's night 😊

This place really surprised me. Fast, friendly, and attentive service. The beer was cold and served in a chilled glass! The food was great. Went there on a Tuesday and got the butter chicken bowl special. Nice place to sit and chat and almost every direction you might sit will face a TV. Big, sturdy wooden tables. Comfy and spacious seating. Dark wood decor. Went in for a pub experience and got exactly that.

Great service excellent food great prices

I really like this place. My grandma lives around the corner so I bring her here sometimes. The food is always good and well priced. She loves the fish and chips which look great. I had a soup and salad yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. Decent beer selection.

We just moved to the area and the Union Jack is our new local. I gotta say, the service, prices, and crowd are great - I'm glad to call this our new local.

Pros:
- Specials every day
- Live music / karaoke of some sort every day (so far)
- Great prices for drinks
- Attentive and friendly service
- Food (so far) has been tasty and reasonably priced

Cons:
- We'd love to see more vegan-friendly food options (like a Beyond Burger or something), although the fries / onion rings / yam fries are pretty decent

Stopped by on Saturday for lunch. Seemed like a good place, but, some of the patrons made me feel Very uncomfortable. Probably just a bad day, but. Sorry to the awesome staff! Not your fault!
