Toronto Public Library - Northern Elms Branch

UPDATE APRIL 12, 2023: Another advantage of going to this library is using their excellent photocopier for black and white copies at only 15 cents a copy. What a bargain! I love going to this library and always feel so welcomed there.

PREVIOUSLY: This library size may be small but I prefer to think of it as being cozy. If I need a certain library book, I just order it on the Toronto Public Library's website, place a hold and pick it up at Northern Elms when available. So, I don't really need a big location here.

Bert, the Head Librarian, is excellent and a friendly, considerate, helpful person. The rest of the staff are so very good, too. They are all so welcoming and are obviously highly trained and intelligent.

There have been some problems that I've encountered with my library card and books that had nothing to do with them but the issues were straightened out efficiently and kindly by them on the computer system. Excellent customer service.

I really like going there. I always feel good after the visits and am grateful that Toronto Public Library has given us this local branch that I've been going to for over nine years.

This is the definition of a hidden gem. The staff is super friendly and they have a variety of books. Its never busy because its behind a bunch of stores and is hard to find. The place is clean and just has this comforting vibe. It makes you feel so cozy. Probably my favorite location over the Albion one.

The staffs gave me patient. I got the library cards, first borrow books and first kid show at here. It's near some markets and food stores

Love the Northern Elms Library I have been coming here for years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, runned by an amazing Librarian and supervisor, named Bert. Great events at this location. Recommend this library to anyone who wants an enjoyable experience. I would just put in a recommendation for more hours at this location. At times it opens late and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Besides that, love it.❤❤❤❤

Well organized. Librarians are willing to walk you through the labyrinth and help you find the books you seek.
No rush here. Oh! And by the way, Royal Ontario Museum and other passes are available for free against your library card. Check with the librarian.
