I recently visited Iqbal Foods, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by the wide selection of products and the overall shopping experience.

Their wide selection of products and fresh vegetables make it easy to find everything I need in one place/roof. There is also a wide selection of halal meat, and they use a number system, which is convenient when there are not a lot of people, but can be improved when there are a lot of people. The staff are friendly, and the place is well organized and clean. The prices are reasonable. The only downside of this place is that there is no place to lock your bike outside.

Best south Asian grocery store. Halal meat is fresh and best! The store has a lot of variety from breads to fresh fruits and vegetables and daals rice and wheat. Visiting this store makes me nostalgic because it carries so many items from Pakistan.

All Pakistani Items can be easily purchased. Butchery is so good and fresh in Iqbal.. all the staff is good except one lady in abaya hijab and abaya. She’s extremely rude and even she makes a customer guilty infront of me.. she should learn some ethics to deal with customers. This grocery store has almost everything. You can buy halal hard chicken only at there, that may give you almost similar flavor of desi chicken. Different types of rices, spices, pickles, dried fruits, snacks, noodles, fishes, meats, dairy products, desserts, vegetables, fruits, indian- chinese- middle eastern- canadian groceries, kitchen utensils etc are found here. Has a food shop attached to it named Silver Spoon. Has washroom facilities. Free Parking. You need to wait on a queue for hours with token number to buy meat products. The meat section is always busy which is time consuming.

The only Desi supermarket that truly feels like a Desi supermarket. Halal options everywhere and a hot food counter too.

The Right place to get what a Desi household kitchen wants. Products were accommodated and arranged by Mr. Lateef (employee) in a easy way as one can get them without struggle..thanks to Mr. LATEEF. It’s very easy to grab the items and it was in a right place and proper price tags.

The store has lot of groceries with competitive price. They have separate meat session and small restaurant facility. Vegetables were good. We didn't tried meat.

It's a house full of varieties. Prices are extremely reasonable, and meat is fresh. Just only one thing to monitor at checkout is to see if the counters' attendees don't over charge for any item. Because they do if you have a cart full shopping. It happened twice. Rest management is great, and overall, 5 star

Best for muslims, no need to worry about halal food, many types of vegetables, fruits used by indian pakistani people. Almost you find 90 percent of your international items here very easily.

This store is very huge. One will find everything in groceries. They also have live food counters to get cooked food packed up at pretty reasonable prices. The points card is not universal as one would not be able to use the card taken from the other chains of Iqbal store (e.g., Thorncliffe) here. Thus it is recommended to get a points card specific for use at this store in case one needs to visit frequently.

I am amazed by all the employees at the meat section who do a very good job. I rate Irfan who is the best of all in the meat section. He knows the job very well and does excellently in cutting as well as humble and excellent is customer service. He follows all the protocols of Iqbal foods very well. He is truly leaving a bench mark for every one to follow. I would rate him 10/10 in excellent customer service and 10/10 for skills in meat cutting.

Great experience! They have all the desi stuff that you need. The variety was amazing. Everything that you get back home is all available. The meat area had a huge waiting time for your turn but the meat quality was so good, you cannot be disappointed. All the workers are super helpful and kind. The place was very clean. A must go for all our desi people. This is a permanent groceries place for my family.

Good service provided by the dairy and meat department executives. I hope everything present in the store is halal. The prices were reasonable and I especially look for the flyer products as they are on sale.I recommend everyone to visit and purchase as they're assured halal products.

The good :
There is also a takeout Silver spoon restaurant inside the Iqbal Foods grocery store.
There is a sweet shop just outside too.
The selection of stuff inside is absolutely massive and they are going to give every small south Asian store a run for the money.
The prices are also very good and many deals and sales can be found that are really good on basic every day south Asian groceries.
The selection of stuff is really wonderful. The imported fruit and vegetables are also plentiful and the prices are very reasonable.
The meat shop has a wide variety of stuff and some marinated items as well. I didnt see freshly made sausages or meat products.

What can be better:
Many items arent price marked. Even on the end caps.
The meat shop was crazy busy and there is no numbering service system to get in line for your orders. People pushing in front to get ahead all the time. A little organization in service would help.
There is a big sign saying ice cream but they didnt really have much that we could find.
The silver spoon that's inside didnt have the best service. We stood in line but people kept pushing past to the register and getting served ahead of us. It's a good concept but the execution could be better. Hand written signs that a professional store would never have.
The people at cash are quick but not friendly. A simple hello how are you did you find everything you were looking for would be nice like you would hear at a regular Canadian grocery store.
They lack any arabic style or sri Lankan or south indian foods. If you're looking for that dont bother.

Overall, a great place to buy south Asian core pakistani and indian groceries. My suggestion is to work on the service and customer experience side of things and this would be a stellar concept to replicate throughout North America.

Hands down the best quality selection of meats in Canada I have ever seen. I bought some fresh goat, chicken legs, goat liver, ruhi fish and beef mince. All of it is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. This kind of explains the hour-long wait at the counter and why people were patiently waiting with their tokens to be served.

Greate place to find authentic Pakistani and some Indian groceries. They have huge verity as compared to other Desi stores, but beware their prices are always not great, before buying always check you local store some time prices are higher.
