Hilltop Diner Cafe

After reading the numerous reviews about the Hilltop Diner Cafe, the Missus and I finally made it for a late afternoon lunch as she was famished again. The building and inside decor transports you back to the 1950's or 60's.

We found the service and food excellent. Both servers worked together in unison checking up on us and refilling our coffee. We enjoyed our turkey and clubhouse sandwiches. For dessert, the coconut and banana cream pies were really delectable and top notched. We look forward to trying their signature breakfast meals and of course, other variety of pies.

The food and atmosphere was amazing at Hilltop Diner Cafe! I order the patty melt and the eclair pie. They were with very delicious and tasted very fresh. The fries with the patty melt was also hot and crispy. I enjoyed everything that I ate here. In addition, the service was very good. The servers were very attentive and kind.

I would recommend stopping by here if you pass by Langley!

Lives up to the roadside diner reputation - they do breakfast and pie really well, atmosphere is unpretentious, and service is down to earth and very attentive with topping up your coffee! The eggs bennies are amazing! And the half order was perfect for some of us. The Benny with chorizo and Monterey Jack was very tasty, and my wife couldnt stop commenting on the smash potato hasbrowns.

%100 worth the drive from Abbotsford. My boyfriend said he’d be taking me somewhere I’d love their breakfast.. He was absolutely right. Everything was so fresh and flavourful. The restaurant was kinda old fashioned had lots of vintage style memorabilia on the walls. Will be back to try there lunch menu next! Thank you for your wonderful service.

Have nothing but good things to say about this place. Great food, great service & great atmosphere!! It's not a big diner, but it definitely gives the "cozy home vibe" which makes it special. So glad my girlfriend showed me this place. & you definitely want to go for breakfast & have the "smashbrowns"!! The best ever! This place I highly recommend!

My boyfriend is from out of town & when I told him a scene from his favourite show (Supernatural) was filmed at the Hilltop diner he had to go. He had forgotten so I surprised him. We were so happy with our service and our breakfast was Amazing. Thank you to the friendly servers!!

Had breakfast food, a sandwich and burgers here with the family - all very good. the pies all looked delicious but didn't have room. Have to give a major shout out for the wonderful people who own this place: after i had forgotten my purse and drove back to Vancouver, they mailed it to me at no charge and no fuss. Its good to know there are still good-hearted people out there. I hope this great karma comes back to you, thank you so much!

Nice little joint where you can enjoy a real local dinner vibe. Parking is not bad on Sunday morning. Love it.

Amazing burgers & Philly cheese steak. Pies were fabulous 👌🏼

Went for breakfast. Didn't have to wait in line. The place is more spacious inside then it appears from the outside. Food was great. The portion sizes are quite large. The coffee was delicious.

What a lovely place. We went there with my husband a month ago, and that place was so good to do not write a review.
Friendly and service staff. We ordered two sandwiches with their homemade fries, and OMG! it was beyond delicious. The only sad thing about my trip there was that I was so full that I could not eat any of those good-looking pies. It will be the next time for sure. I love Diners places like Hilltop Dine Cafe, so please if you are in Langley make time and treat yourself.

Best burger I’ve ever had! I had the mountain burger, wife the club on sourdough and boys chicken fingers. Service was quick and waitresses were super nice. A bit of a wait but it’s not fast food, it’s homemade and fantastic. It’s an old school diner that hasn’t been updated and it’s absolutely perfect for where it is.
The mountain burger filled me up, it’s also extremely flavourful.
Strawberry milkshake was legit!
Keep up the great work.

This place is a Langley staple for my husband and I. The food is well-priced with generous portions, and the staff are always fast and attentive. The place fills up quick on the weekends so be prepared, but there is usually a spot at the bar available.

And we always have to get pie to go!

If you’re going to have a long day and aren’t sure when you’ll get a chance to break for lunch get yourself fed with the big breakfast. Not sure exactly what it’s called but this plateful will feed your hungry soul, ready to take on the next adventure. One star removed for the nasty carpet, I kind of like it, but my dear wife wouldn’t stop staring at it so I had to make a deduction! Will certainly drop in again for another go.

Wow! Super quality meals and lots of it. Fast friendly service, reasonable prices. Great value. May have to wait for a table during busy times but worth the wait. Will definitely go back.

First time here cuz every time we would drive by there was always a massive line. I can understand why, the food and service was amazing. The hash browns are definitely something you need to try. I’ll be back 100% because I had no room for a slice of pie.

This is the type of place you visit for a slice of pie and leave with a new friend! 🤓🙋🏽‍♀
I enjoyed talking with other locals while dining here. Hilltop is a classic vintage cafe / old-fashioned diner with a small-town vibe.

I have only tried their pie 🍰 so far, but I look forward to coming back with others and trying their breakfast, brunch, and lunch items.

I wish they were open later than 2:30pm... I drive by SO often later in the day, wanting to stop in.

2 suggestions:
1) I would LOVE to see a pie with a peanut butter 🥜 flair... How about a Snickers pie?!? 🍫 😁🤔
2) Would LOVE to see old-fashioned shredded hash browns added as an option 🙌

My BLT was yummy, fries good.
Pie was amazing.
Waitress was very nice.
Atmosphere was great lots of people. Busy.
I found we could have used some heat. It was extremely cold.

Thought we would try Hilltop for the first time and were not disappointed. I had the Clubhouse (pictured) and my wife had the BLT which were fresh and delicious. Instead of fries we both had onion rings. We were too full to have any pie but they all looked great. Definitely want to try the pie next time.

The pies!! All the food was amazing, we sat at the counter, was great. Milkshakes looked insane. The omelette was so thick with meat, the hungry teen couldn’t even get through half. Smashbrowns were delicious. You’ll probably have to wait on a weekend, but the line clears fairly fast- 20 mins or so
