Rainy Lake Inn & Suites

Tara is an amazing person and so is her friend. Let me tell you how awesome these ladies were. We called in the evening, desperate for place to stay. She was booked full but told us "don't worry, I'll find you something!" She had no obligation to do that for us! She waited for us to finish our dinner in town and then lead us to a neighbor who is wanting to get into the house-renting business. The neighbor had a cute little cabin in the back of her beautiful house. Both ladies made sure we were comfortable with the arrangement. The friend had all the necessities ready for renters (towels, soaps, etc.) and was so excited to have renters. She went out of her way to make a full breakfast in the morning, out of the goodness of her heart. We thought we would wake up and leave, and ended up having a wonderful 2hr conversation over hot coffee, eggs, sausage, fruit, english muffins, etc. It was wonderful. What started out as panic mode on finding a place to sleep turned into the most peaceful accommodations I think I've ever had. These women are the sweetest and I couldn't recommend their hospitality more.

Tara's Wharf - Rainy Lake Inn & Suites in Ranier, Minnesota is an exceptional inn to stay at. My friend and I were offered complimentary ice cream, a breakfast and dinner. The room we had was well beyond our expectations. We had our own deck. Beautiful sunset. Saw Canada across the way. Restaurants are close by. There was entertainment coming from one of the restaurants. Rooms, service and location are all rated 10+. Tara is an awesome hostess, very warm, friendly and thoughtful. Great B&B in a perfect location on Rainy Lake. Enjoyed the Mahogany Suite which had a great balcony next to the lake. (All suites are right off the lake!) Cantilever Distillery is right next by and a must for dinner! Tara was also very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Would stay here again.

The shower is 1.5 stars out of 10, but EVERYTHING ELSE WAS OFF THE HOOK!!!!!
15 Stars out of 10... I am reserving future stays, no need to look anywhere else.

This is a quaint B&B that sits right on the water. They were very friendly and helpful through the entire process. Amy was quite helpful during check-in and also with helping us resolve an issue with a pontoon rental from a different company. Would highly recommend.
