Shenderey Gymnastics Centre

As an athlete who grew up in this gym for 9 years this place became a home to me with teammate and coaches who loved and supported me. The environment created in this gym made me want to come back each day and helped me get to the level where I am now competing at the collegiate level. I owe everything to this gym and always come back to say hello as they are my second family.

My kids have been training with Shenderey Gymnastics for the last 7 years and have grown leaps and bounds both in their gymnastics and in life experience. Shenderey Gymnastics not only teaches and coaches your kids to be the best they can be by how they structure their programming, but also teach them to be true to themselves and each other, it is an atmosphere that fosters kindness, respect, good sportsmanship, togetherness and embraces true family value. My kids refer to Alanna and Liz and their gym moms and Chris as their gym dad. My kids train 25 hours a week with the club and spend more time with there coaches than they do at home. My girls have grown up to be kind, gentle empathetic, encouraging and loving young ladies and I can say with absolute certainty that their gym parents and gym family played a huge part in this. The coaching staff at Shenderey Gymnastics are extremely supportive, kind and encouraging. They helped my girls believe in themselves everyday!! In my opinion a great coach is not only their for their athletes when they are on top but are also there to pick them up when they are down. Alanna, Chris and Liz you have done this without fail year after year and I know will continue to do this in the future. Wishing our Shenderey Family much success today and always!

When looking for a gymnastics club for my daughter Shenderey Gymnastics came high my recommended to me by multiple people. At the time I had visited a few local clubs and found by far that Shenderey Gymnastics was the best suited for us! Their coaching staff are amazing and their individual attention to each gymnast enrolled in their programs is above and beyond what I ever expected!! Very family oriented, great communication and the level of coaching is by far the best out there! We love it here and have recommended this club to others who are so happy we did!! Thank you Shenderey Gymnastics for having the impact in my daughters life that you do, not only in the gym but also outside of the gym!! Keep up the great work!!

Can't say enough about Shenderey Gymnastics and all the coaches. Our first time taking our daughter here she was only 2 years old and she loved every minute of it! She took a little break for a couple years to do other activities but made the decision that gymnastics was her thing. We brought her back to do some rec classes when she was 6 and never turned back. She is now 14 years old, training 25 hours a week and comes home with a HUGE smile on her face everyday - that's a win for me!

Phenomenal gym. It’s very spacious and always clean. Coaching staff has been great with my both of my children, they are always looking forward to their next lesson.

Highest possible recommendation in the Newmarket area. The training floor is very large allowing the coaches to instruct their gymnast with respect to other classes going on. The coaches are very approachable and make it easy to trust with your children.

My daughter is a competitive level 10 gymnast who has been training with Shenderey Gymnastics for the last 3 years. She has had nothing but an amazing experience and through the coaching and culture at Shenderey Gymnastics she has gained the skills and confidence that has lead her to pursue her athletic dreams. Her gymnastics journey will continue as an NCAA athlete and we thank the coaches of Shenderey gymnastics.

Shenderey Gymnastics is the most inviting and welcoming gymnastics environment I have been in. All of the coaches in the gym were so supportive of all my goals as a gymnast. They are motivating and I always left training with a smile on my face. As a coach there now I have learned so many positive ways to interact with my athletes that brings out the best in them.

My daughter was part of Shenderey from the age of 5 to the age of 13. Those 8 years were great years. She trained 20 hrs a week and recieved the best training the sport has to offer. She was guided and trained by high level coaches in a supportive and compassionate environment. We made friendships that will last a life time. I'm so glad she spent those impressionable years in that safe supportive environment. It turned her into a confident young woman. I wouldn't change it for anything and would do it all again if i could. Kudos to Shenderey for setting the bar high. This will forever be our gym family ❤

Alanna and her team of professional, caring, talented, and patient coaches has made my daughter into the athlete and woman she is today. As she moves on to university I just want to thank you for the time and effort and devotion you all have put into her. This is not just a gym to her but another home. I have been a Shenderey Gymnastics athlete in the competitive program for over 12 years. My time at Shenderey is something I will never forget. The gym is a second home to me and the coaches and athletes are family for life. With a great gym environment and well trained coaches, Shenderey is the perfect gym for kids of all ages!

One of their family cyber stalked me and then made calls to a previous employer where they thought I worked, making threatening remarks and harassing phone calls to my innocent former co-workers. I'm assuming because they don't like me calling them out in my review below. If that is the kind of appalling behaviour they are going to partake in, that's just disgusting. Original Post: A bit long, but bear with me: There appears to be one family that had a poor experience and is getting other family members to write poor and accusatory reviews. "my granddaughter... my cousin... my niece..." and they are worded almost the same. Clearly they are relating a story that they were told to. One review even names a person as owner that is not correct. The owner and staff have not changed in over 12 years.

I can understand that perhaps the child had a bad experience. Regrettably, gymnastics isn't for everyone. Geez, each gym isn't for everyone. I hope they can find one better suited to them for their child. However, review bombing a small, locally owned business because of their personal issue is inappropriate.

I have had personal experience with this gym for over 12 years. I have, at times, had issues I had to bring up with the coaches, and or management. Some have been VERY serious. However, they always took my complaint or concern seriously, were professional, validating, and we were able to work together to resolve the issue. If that didn't happen in this family's case, I have a hard time blaming the staff.

Top notch! I have had nothing but good experiences with Shenderey Gymnastics. Very passionate around each of their athletes progress. My boys enjoyed the ninja program and loved the gymnastics program on Saturday mornings. I highly recommend Shenderey Gymnastics for all ages and levels.

We have always had an amazing experience at Shenderey Gymnastics! Such a great place for children to train competitively and also enjoy this sport recreationally! Staff is amazing and it’s obvious how much they care about their work. If you’re interested in gymnastics this is the place you want to be.

I’ve been training at SGI for the past year, and it’s been the best time of my gymnastics career! The coaches are very motivating and kind. There is a great team atmosphere and positive environment in the gym.
