I have had two children start their early childhood development with Summit Academy Flat Rock and my youngest will be graduating 8th grade in the next couple weeks. My family has been involved with all aspects of the school for the past 12 years. I am very thankful for the decision to enroll both of my children at Summit Academy. The staff is so prepared to teach with patience and understanding of all learning capabilities. The curriculum is currently preparing my sophomore son to begin AP (Advanced Placement) classes which will count toward college credits and with successful grades in these classes will place him in possible sophomore college credits to begin his college experiences. This school also has a 98 plus percentage of high school graduation rates with 100% of these graduates accepted to a college before they graduate high school. This school has highly trained staff, advanced technology and the safest learning environment any parent would be excited to experience. Summit Academy is where our next successful generation begins its journey to professionalism.

Great school! If you have special needs they help. If you dont have good clothes they provide them! Bullying is not here!!! They stop it right away, the teachers will help you if you are having a hard time at home or other.

Caring teachers, great communication between school and parents, individualized teaching based on student need, and before and after school care if needed. They are also very focused on continued education with frequent field trips to college campuses to help students make decisions on future education. Every classroom has a teacher AND a teacher in training. They also give many donations of food, clothing and other necessities to under privileged students.

Both of my kids attend Summit Academy. My daughter is very advanced and the staff works together to make sure she is challenged. The teachers are warm and caring and really care about the kids.

I'm a student at Summit Academy and I personally enjoy the family community provided here at this school. I really don't think you could find another school like this one

This school is not the place for middle school. They do not offer a good variety of electives, classes are over crowded, bullying policy is non existent, this year alone they have went through 3-4 teachers that have quit (that I am aware of could be more). Even though gym is required by the state, not every child gets a chance to take PE. if you have any other choice, please do not send your child to middle school here.

The only reason im putting two stars is because i made awesome friends here and we had alot of fun but the teachers attitude is horrible every single teacher (besides mr.glazer he was my favorite teacher idk if he still teaches there) were rude and i left because my of the constant switching of the teachers and multiple problems with teachers in the school (this is Gage btw sorry i left fellas)

This place sucks, at first it was nice bc I didn’t know anything but I hated it here, the bullying is highly overwhelming. Soo as some as the teachers, I would never send my kids here but ya’know. Some will I won’t. I disliked it here. Would never recommend sending ur kids here unless ur a mean parent. Kids throw things, food fights and everything bro it’s not safe here. -Kaiah

This school is very challenged. Academics at the elementary school level are poor. The students are not challenged. They put all children who do poorly on exams and have behavior issues in the same classroom which is a struggle for the teachers as they have no special program to help them excel. Parents are unaware of this fact which is sad they do not know their children have been classed. The effect of this is the students improve minimally. Another concern is the communication between teachers and parents. The teachers (at the elementary school level) do not want to talk to the parents. I have seen several occasions where teachers have yelled at parents for asking questions. The principal supports her staff and allows this behavior to continue. There are racial issues. Some teachers refuse to acknowledge the presence of 'black' parents. They will ignore them. This is not a school for academic growth of your student.

Absolutely terrible. .teacher's are on the phone during class time.... They left my daughter on a field trip ...Will let your child cry without notifying the parents.... the teachers are quiting left and right...the principles makes makes medical decisions on your child based off of her own personal experience very unprofessional
